Last read: A Telltale's The Walking Dead Game fanfic: "Dawnbreaker" by @mintea326. Written by a good friend of mine, based around giving Minerva from The Final Season an alternate ending to her story, and is still currently ongoing. The writing is great, and I've always enjoyed different takes on stories I've enjoyed and seeing what ways people go with them creatively — especially when it comes to anything Telltale-related.

Seriously, as good as some games were.... Telltale's writing was pretty lacking at times. i'm glad that, most of the time, fans can step in to use these characters to their fullest potential.

Last series: Haven't seen anything in a long time; I don't frequently watch much anymore. It's been so long enough that I don't think I could give an honest answer. Sorry :P

Last song: "Gnawty's House" from Banjo-Kazooie; listening to it as I write this. Seriously, this whole game's soundtrack is fantastic. Grant Kirkhope did amazing work with this game.

For context: I once was the main spearhead of porting characters from Telltale's The Walking Dead onto Valve's Source Filmmaker. I didn't end up porting very many, but you can still get the ones I did from here! I did some digging recently, and found out I still have a lot of art assets I made for the workshop pages. I every piece of un-edited renders I found—but it's not everything, unfortunately. Some I'd have to recreate, and while I mostly have their pieces to do so, I don't have a great photo editor for it at the moment. Do note that these are around six years old, so their quality isn't that great. But they're a part of my history, so here they are regardless.

Honestly pretty happy with this. Only reason why I never uploaded it is because I just didn't put in the effort of porting it from Blender to Source Filmmaker. It isn't because it was difficult, but because it's tedious.

1. I love my laugh. I’ve been told that it’s really pretty and it makes me happy to hear that :)

2. My eyes. They’re dark brown, but they appear lighter in the sun, and I think they’re really cute. And in my other realities, they’re a honey brown which I also love.

3. My taste in fashion; I think I have a very good eye for what suits people and myself as well as just loving clothes, the process, and everything.

4. I like my ability to tell when people are being genuine or not. I think because Im more observant than others, I’m able to detect ingenuity. Thankfully, I don’t know anybody that’s like that anymore <3

Okay, this is definitely not my strong suit... but I'll do my best!

Probably the most accurate of them all due to how simple and geometric he is. Here you can see I really started working on functionality instead of just form, starting to think about how stuff like the mouths would work. The method I used here was just cutting a hole in his head mesh. This is arguably too simple, as on other characters it often led to inconsistent results when I tried it—things like jagged edges, shading looking off, or the outline going thin around the area. Tackling Invader Zim-like mouths would be really difficult to do, but I don't really think it's impossible. It'll just take a lot of work.

As seen above, I set up a rig that provides control over the color of his glowy bits. There's three different modes: - Normal: GIR's traditional light-blue glow. - Duty: The ominous red glow when GIR enters Duty Mode. - Off: GIR is turned off. And yep. That's it for characters. The rest are either so work-in-progress that they're not really worth showing off, or currently look nothing like themselves. I don't know when I'll be coming back to these guys. I've got too much on my plate that I want to get done, and unfortunately these are quite far down that list. I'd love to eventually one day—at least in terms of completing the main cast: Dib, Clembrane, Gaz, GIR, Professor Membrane, and Zim. As for now though, thank you for viewing!

A bit of an outlier for my blog, but I came across a hi-res, 1440p version of the key art used for Alan Wake's American Nightmare. It originally had the logo included, but I took some time to edit it out so I could use it as a desktop background. Figured I'd post it somewhere in-case anyone else wanted to use it! Dib — The same model as my first post, but with an animated preview. I'm honestly really proud of how his hair came out, as modeling hair is no strong suit of mine. Dib (Globs of Doom Weapon) — Yep, I tried recreating the weapon Dib uses during the game "SpongeBob SquarePants Featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom." I included it because I initially found that model and used it for reference. It's half complete, as I never got around to finishing the textures on the main gun. I did try animating the tank on his back, and I'm not fully happy with how it looks here. I'd redo the preview, but it took almost an hour to render due to how complex it is.

Gaz's Guitar — Decided to recreate the guitar that's only seen once during the training montage. I really like how it ended up. I'd like to know how to rig the strings to work like a proper guitar at some point. Dib's Dumbbell — Another object from Dib's training montage. Very small and simple. Not much worth talking about. Swollen Eyeball Briefcase — Dib's briefcase that's seen within a good amount of the film. It actually has a skeleton, meaning it can open and close. I based it off the very few closeups the movie gives, and I remember being somewhat confused by how different the design of the eyeball was at certain distances. I managed to settle on one, though. I think with a little bit more work it could look perfect. GameSlave 4 — The new design of the GameSlave system featured within EtF. We got saw plenty of angles of it, but never of the actual front of the device, so I took some liberties. Judging by how similar the GameSlave was to Nintendo's handhelds back during the original show, I based its controls off the 3DS. Due to the curves of the grips though, I swapped out circle pad with actual joysticks. I think, for how this device is shaped, this scheme would make the most sense.

There will be one more post soon, and that'll conclude the rest of my old Enter the Florpus models.

Hello again! Just showing off a few more old custom fan models I did from Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus. We're getting into the more incomplete stuff though, so just keep that in mind.

Zim — The model from last time, just now with an animated preview instead of a static image. Now you can see I did fully model his Pak. It had legs, but those were left in a rather messy state, so I didn't include them.

Red — One of the Almighty Tallests, unfortunately without his co-ruler Purple. They need a bit more work to fit their EtF design, but I did use the new color palette. I think this was around the time I was still trying to nail down the Irken hand design, so I substituted the claws from the original series until I had something else ready. The eye highlights are a bit too square for my liking, but they worked for what I needed.

Leprechaun Cat — Perhaps my favorite gag in the movie. He's almost complete, except lacking his trademark green vest. I included his firework, but I never got around to actually making it look right. My goal was trying to get this one done just so I could recreate his dance, but maybe sometime in the future.

To avoid these from becoming huge walls of text, I'll leave it at these three for now. I'll be including Dib in the next one as he had a bunch of extras I modeled, but they shouldn't be too lengthy and worth talking about. After that it'll be a character I almost had animation ready, but never quite got there in the end.

The Beehive from Banjo-Kazooie, made HD! Another model I made almost two years ago. Had to severely compress the turnaround gif I had rendered, but I hope it isn't too unsightly to look at. Hopefully there are better ways of sharing this stuff here. Was one of my first attempts trying to make a procedural texture in Blender. I'm... kinda happy with it? The texturing feelings a little harsh, but other than that I think I did the old Rare render some justice. ... Maybe?

Hello. I guess for my first post here, I'll share my first, publicly-shared modeling project. It's Dib, Gaz, and Zim from Invader Zim, based off their comic/Enter the Florpus designs. I made these back in 2023, and honestly I still really like them. They have no skeleton, but maybe I'll come back to them someday.
