i think these are reflexology shoes!! based on reflexology paths/pebble paths that are very common in asia!! 

you walk on the little pebbles (they’re mounted to the ground) barefoot and they can trigger certain reflexology points on the soles of the feet and promote a calming feeling!! but i can confirm that they HURT like hell
