The plot hole would be that his copy would absolutely be capable of rending the Veil.

I CAN’T STOP STARING! At first I thought it was another movement capturing failure (I suck at taking screenshots, always miss the right moment). But. The more I look at it, the more it mesmerizes me. Even if the picture is blurry and messed up, and some details turned out funny… These two look so genuine here.

I know, it’s a kiss scene, but in this particular shot it looks and feels like a last embrace, desperate and sensual. Like… Hawke allows himself one last moment of weakness and gives it his all. Holding Fenris as close as possible, burying into his neck, breathing him in, memorizing. Enjoying every second of this moment, like it’s their last. Because it is the Final Battle, and nobody knows how it will end. Fenris does the same, and I swear, I feel the desperation in the way he’s practically clinging to Hawke.

Hawke has only barely closed the bedroom door behind him when Fenris is in his arms again, pushing up on his toes to meet his lips hungrily, his fingers in Hawke’s hair, his other hand balling Hawke’s shirt in his fist.

Hawke wraps his arms tight around Fenris’s slim waist, sneaking a hand down to squeeze Fenris’s ass, smiling when Fenris gasps at this and responds by nipping Hawke’s lower lip with sharp teeth. Fenris is so wonderfully, beautifully responsive - enticingly honest in every reaction, some of that guarded nature of his falling away under Hawke’s hands, more and more with every time Hawke takes him to bed.

so according to a nicholas boulton (male hawke) interview he:

prefers choosing and voicing sarcastic/purple hawke, but also chose the diplomatic choices so his hawke would also be nice

really liked voicing the ‘friction’ between anders and hawke, if in a rivalry 

has a ‘thing’ for isabela (likes her pirate accent), but his favorite romance to voice was fenris

thinks merril is very cute

thinks the relationship between bethany and hawke is more rewarding in comparison to carvers

loves the “looks like the duke…has fallen from grace” line from the mark of the assassin dlc and called it the ‘csi: miami line’ 

also loved the bee sting scene from the same dlc. he looked at the script and went “really?!” and was super excited to do it. he told the crew that he could “crank it up to 11 if they wanted”

said that if he were personally there when anders explodes the chantry, he would “grab a fish and slap him around a few times”

can really imagine hawke, after da:2/da:i, sitting in a bar, drinking, head in his hands, sighing and saying “ohh god what have i been through”, “don’t ask me to kill anymore darkspawn”, and “let me enjoy my burger and fries!” 

wouldn’t sacrifice hawke in the fade (mostly because it’s his voice)
