I think my favorite part about the svsss fandom is that Airplane’s writing is so abhorred (affectionate) that when creating animals/beasts in the world you could just go and mash 50+ adjectives to a random animal and I’ll just nod my head and go “yeah that sounds about right”

Shen Yuan and Xiang Fei are soulmates, not in the romantic sense of the concept, they are just fated to find each other in every universe, they are interconnected and have to be a part of each other’s story, where one is the other is too, their meeting even if brief is always meant to happen.

Xiang Fei chose to save Mobei-Jun not because their destinies are connected but because he loves him, Xiang Fei will choose to love Mobei-Jun again and again even if the universe is uncaring of their bond.

Shen Yuan chose to be kind to Binghe because he could, he was never really forced to show kindness in fact he was arguably forced to be cruel, he chooses to love Binghe and save the world, being married to him is his choice and not an inevitability.

They are not soulmates, it is more powerful, much more important than that, it is not mandated nor fated, it is a mutual decision to love in a way that defies destiny.

I'm not even surprised that Shen Yuan turned out to be the CEO running the Shen family's business while one of his elder brothers fucks off to explore Antarctica, and the other wanders around in the mountains in search of some ancient tea tree (which is giving major Shen Jiu vibe but I digress). Look, as a 20-something years old CEO, Shen Yuan would 1000% see running a successful business as sitting around doing idle work while waiting to die. We were fooled by SY stating that his older brothers are set to inherit the family's business, thinking it meant they'd inherit the business from Shen papa and mama. In actuality, they would be inheriting the business from Shen Yuan himself. He is totally planning to eventually hand off the business to his older brothers in order to retire and mooch off his family's money like the idle fuerdai he aspires to be. Nobody saw this coming, and we all know he's been lying to our face from day one. Remember how he said he was gonna hug thighs and kiss ass to save his own hide, only to immediately contemplate blowing himself up to save supposedly fictional characters? Remember how he said he was idling away to a ripe old age on Qing Jing, while his daily activities look like this : "Every day on Qing Jing Peak, he played the guqin, read books, wrote calligraphy, painted paintings, practiced his cultivation, occasionally nitpicked Luo Binghe’s food, occasionally bickered or sparred with Liu Qingge, and from time to time reported on his work to Yue Qingyuan". And we know he teaches his students and goes on missions too. He reads through the entirety of Qing Jing's library (which must be extensive, considering QJ is the scholar peak) in roughly 3-5 years on top of his other duties. This bish is the most productive lazy person ever and I'm honestly just mad at myself for not expecting this level of deception from the Peerless Cucumber.

The thing about the Bingzu version of the system is it tries to downplay Shang Qinghua's importance and character but the throw away line about how the only thing Airplane took interest or made an active and influential change to was Mobei Jun where he was suddenly very active and made extreme changes

Which raises the possibility that Bingzu never met Mobei Jun in his world

That Mobei was supposed to die either as a child or at that crossroads

OR that he didn't even exist originally

Which does line up with the system not caring if he dies

Which makes Moshang even more interesting

Did Airplane save Mobei's life in both PIDW and SVSSS?

Did he actually create the man whole cloth from his desires?

Is Airplane effectively a Creator God but only in regards to Mobei?

The Bingzu explanation in attempt to make Shang Qinghua seem less powerful or important made Moshang even more insane and Shang Qinghua extremely powerful and influential, but only over Mobei's story

I like to think he existed, but in the way that a cook exists in a romcom movie when the couple gets engaged at a restaurant. And Airplane saw a glimpse of him, of this unimportant demon that was slatted to die from a plot or another, and gave him someone who was cunning enough to navigate the political labyrinth and keep him alive.

I want to think that Shang Qinghua existed, but in the way that the hundred of Bing-ge's wives exist to us: a number and nothing else. And Airplane took that man existence and twisted it into a tool to keep MBJ alive. And when his work was not enough and he was sent to get his hands dirty to change the narrative, he took SQH life because it had already been his.

I don't think Airplane created MBJ, his perfect man, I think he created SQH and carved himself into the man that MBJ needed to survive.

See, I see all those ideas and raise you the idea that because Airplane had, by the admittance of the extra itself, the ability to change and influence everyone around Binghe, the fact he both could and DID make people and characters that hadn't existed and pulled around ones that hadn't lived/were so far offscreen they never mattered to Binghe makes sense to me. He was, in fact, a creator god. Being given that power by Bingzu's problem children doesn't make it not true. Gods can raise gods. So by that token I agree with the idea that he might very well have made SQH and changed Mobei-jun and that's the idea I intend to lean into. To be fair though, I am biased toward the idea that SQH is just always Airplane in a different lifestage.

All that to say that Moshang is probably actually ESSENTIAL to Binghe's happiness in a very strangely sideways way. After all, it's not like Bingmei didn't take Airplane's advice to win his man over.

Yue Qingyuan is a stone top TO ME. Because he will throw up if he’s not taking the most active roll during sex. He exists to be a pleasure dispenser for Shen Jiu— he can’t lay back and accept, that would be selfish of him! Hasn’t he taken enough from Xiao Jiu? It’s for this reason that he would hate bondage/blindfolds as well. As much as he wants Shen Jiu to use him without reservation, he needs to be able to actively contribute or he’ll explode. (It also helps that he loses his mind when Xiao Jiu is crying, squirming, and incoherent)
