Let me tell y'all what my co worker does when her friends go on a date: She takes a picture of the person’s drivers license. She doesn’t delete it until her friend(s) return safely.

I remember my first time picking my girlfriend up to go on a date, and I met her mom that day. She asked to see my ID to take a picture of it “just incase” I had/have good* intentions so I was cool and went along with it. 😏

There is an app called glympse that will broadcast your location to whomever you choose for I think I max of four hours. It’s a little gps program and as your phone moves a little beacon will move with it on a map

I’m sure this is good safety practice and all, but... I’m sorry, giving other people my address and all my contact details straight up bothers me. It’s the sort of thing that’d make me feel anxious, because for onehow do I know that another person’s intentions are good, and also people demanding all my information just... bothers me. I like having boundaries to who I am.

I mean it’s not like I’d be likely to be dating somebody who didn’t already know everything about me anyway but still. I wouldn’t give all my details to somebody I was just meeting for the first time for a date. Would you give a near-stranger your address? Your full name and contact details? Date of birth? That stuff can be used for all sorts of nefarious purposes. Sorry if that’s a red flag but those are my boundaries. I mean you’re always free to turn me down of course but it’s a foregone conclusion and also I wouldn’t want to be made to feel like I’m at fault for that.

Emergency, please help share

My situation at home has become dire. My father decided to raise what he charges me a month to $300 as an ‘incentive to save up and move out.’ With my current bills, I have to pay over $800 a month altogether. My current job could not cover this and leave me with money to save up, so I’ve had to withdraw from my semester so I can try to find a second job. When my dad learned about this, he was not happy, even when I tried to explain why. He also thinks saving up to move by June is taking too long. My dad wants me out of his house as soon as possible, and he said he’ll move out of state and leave me to fend for myself if he gets a job offered where his girlfriend is. At this rate, I’m going to have to live out of my car. I’ve been living with this abusive family for years, and with all the sexual, mental, physical and emotional abuse, this is like the final fuck you to me. Trying to leave me homeless. Please, I ask of you, if you can share this and let ANYONE know I would appreciate it. I’m going to be opened for commissions until I know I have enough to be able to get an apartment and my utilities set up. I’m guessing around $1000 since I need to pay deposit and one months rent, as well as the start up payment for my electric, gas, water, etc. I don’t expect it at all, but if anyone wants to just donate, feel free to message me and I can give you details. Again, if you can share this or do anything, please do. I would appreciate it so much.

My manager gave me the phone while I was working today. It’s an attorney, telling me about the $2,500 I owe the department of education. It’s from when I failed my semester at My first college from mental health issues. She said I have to figure out a solution or else my wages are going to be garnished. I tell her I literally have no way to pay it, that I’ve been struggling financially for years and if they do this I won’t be able to pay my bills and can possibly end up homeless. She doesn’t care, instead telling me she’ll give me the weekend to figure something out and she’ll call me Monday morning.

So basically I’m super fucked.

i still really dig the imagery of blake behind bars after ozpin finishes trying to get her to open up to him because, like, it can represent a lot of things about blake?

it can represent the oppression she faces and fights against as a faunus, something that stifles her and traps her inside a little box of who and what she can be.

it can represent her troubled past with the white fang and the potentially bloody and almost definitely illegal things she did with them before she chose to break off by herself.

it can represent the barriers she builds up around herself to keep others out, even if they just want to help her. because she’s been taught her whole life that her problems are her own, and nobody is going to care about them or her. nobody is going to help blake but blake.

it can represent the beginnings of blake’s mental illness (all of her obsession, depression, and anxiety we see throughout volume 2) and her locking herself away from everybody because of it.
