For all its faults Tumblr has truly ruined all other social media for me because my friends all have Instagram and are all trying to get me on Instagram more but every time I open Instagram there are like fifteen things screaming for my attention and when I get over myself long enough to start scrolling it's like. Where is my chronological dash. Where is the following-only option. Who are these people. Why are there so many videos. Everyone is screaming at me. And then before I know it I'm thirty minutes into scrolling and I haven't seen a single thing that I actually care about. At least on Tumblr when I see stuff I don't care about I know someone I follow has found a new interest.

contrary to social media developers’ beliefs i have literally never once wanted to see posts in anything other than chronological order
Some quick reviews: 4 (of 5) stars edition.
After Being Forced to Marry the Evil Star General was overall pretty good. There was political maneuvering and some empire building, but the focus is very much on the couple. The "If" extra was a tough read after the sweetness of the book though.
Fight The Landlord, Fall In Love was fun but I felt like there was a step missing in the development of their relationship. I could've used another chapter or so of evolution from antagonists to partners.
Rose and Renaissance is a low 4 (with the extras only getting a 3), but I enjoyed the ensemble even though there's often more detail than needed of the games and filming.
Those Years In Quest Of Honor Mine has one of the more unhinged couples I've read. In a good way! There's some palace intrigue and tragic backstories, but it's often very funny, which I love. I've read a couple of others by this author and this is the best of them.
The Villain's White Halo could've used a bit more world building and some of the characters' fates would've had more impact if we'd gotten to know them better but I had a lot of fun reading it anyway.

“Ripples in the Sky”
I really love the sea.
I was born far away from it, surrounded by forests, fields, rivers and lakes. I didn’t see the sea for the first time until I was about seventeen, when I finally traveled to the Black Sea.
Before I got married, I traveled and spent my holidays by the sea whenever I could. I never needed a swimming pool. I could spend hours by the water, watching sunrises and sunsets. It never felt too hot or too cold. I simply loved being there.
After I met my husband, we started spending more time at lakes instead. I adapted to his interests because I wanted us to spend more time together.
And then the children came, and I brought the sea back into my life ,but in a very different way.
Anyone who has children will probably understand. Sand gets everywhere, the sea is salty, their eyes sting, the beach is too hot… and somehow the swimming pool always wins.So for almost ten years now, most of my holidays have been spent by the pool. But wherever we travel, I still try to find my way back to the sea. Even if it’s only for a short walk, just to look at it, or to sit quietly on the shore in the evening and watch the sun disappear.
This painting came from one of those evenings in 2021.
Some things in our lives change completely. But somehow, we keep finding little ways back to the things we love.

a thing about me is i basically never notice a wig or other kind of hairpiece in tv/movies. it has to be party city territory for me to even twig it. people will complain about characters' wigs looking bad and i will nod along but there is like a 90% chance i did not notice for a second while watching. i consider this mostly a blessing.
idk who needs to hear this but it’s healthier for you to just accept that you’re gonna be kinda fat than it is to live the rest of your life miserably trying to monitor yourself to maintain a skinny weight your body doesn’t want to hold onto
“nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” what feels even better is living a life where your self-worth isn’t entirely dependent on your thinness and you don’t constantly monitor and shame yourself. attaching the tweet that was worth at least five hours of therapy for me
this is gospel to me
