Today I participated in the second walk out.
Today i got emotional just to hear the names read out to us.
Today is a month since those 17 lives were lost.
Today we mourn over these lives.
We always should mourn these lives.
We should always remember them. And not let them be forgotten.
To the kids behind me and my friends who were talking and goofing off.
To those kids who walked out just to talk to their friends and make jokes.
To those kids who weren't silent during the moment of silent to mourn over these lives. These lives that were LOST.
I hope one day you regret your mistake.
I hope you realize one day that your life could've been at stake.
I participated in this protest to bring awareness to our politicians who are too busy with themselves and their guns.
I participated to bring gun control to this cruel world.
No. Let's not ban guns, but make them more difficult to obtain. If you want a gun you have to have the most pure thoughts. The purest that you can get with a gun.
You must not have evil thoughts or intentions. You must not have any sort of mental instability or history. You must have a permit and a license for a gun.
I want to be free from the fear that one day i might not die by natural cause.
I want to live a fulfilled future.
I don't want my mother or grandmother to mourn over my dead body.
I don't want my family to suffur because some child didn't have the help or the supervision he needed.
Look, we need help to make the NRA realize that children who are innocent are far more important than some pathetic gun.
I want to be able to go to school and feel safe. I don't want to worry that some kid may snap and hurt various people, physically and emotionally.
These kids don't want your prayers.
These kids want you to help us make that change happen.
These kids will make it happen and we will keep pushing and pushing.
I may have not lost anyone personally, but that doesn't mean much to me because i want to help. I want those kid's families to have their closure and satisfaction. They're hurting while these politicians sit there pending who's more important. Guns. Or children...
Please speak out with me. Please. Use your voice! Use it, you have one!
I'm not alone. And i know it, and neither are you.
Stop ignoring the signs of mental instability. Stop keeping yourself silent because you are afraid. Please stop ignoring your own mental health. If you are going to be a danger to yourself and other people, please do seek help.
Get other people the help they need. If someone doesn't seem right you need time trust your gut and speak out.
If you see something say something.
It's up to you if we live or die.
Do me a favor, the next time you see someone very dear to you. Hug them and tell them how much you love them. As i said in my last Walkout post, you never know when's the last time you'll see them.
