Spock: You beat the Kobiyashi Maru?
Kirk: What, like it’s hard?
                 I’ve hurt you.Â
And I wish to go on hurting you.  Â
I shall leave you as you left me, as you left her;Â
marooned for all eternity in the center of a dead planet…

Kirk: I CAN SHOW YOU THE WORLD
Bones: I don't wanna see it

This is so fucking majestic I love it
I feel like Chapel’s flirty comment when she and McCoy go to bed is always, “Let me warm them cold bones.”
I’ll be most effective on the job in the time left, if you’ll keep this to yourself.
Kirk:Â Â I will now drink 8 glasses of milk in 3 minutes.
Bones: Nope! No you won’t, no you won’t because if you do that, you will die.

we drunk-kissed but you forgot about it and i don’t know how to act around you anymore wtf
He’d scolded himself for it before and he’d scold himself for it again, he was certain. Romulan ale was going to be the death of him, or get him in more trouble than what it was worth. It had all started as an innocent little celebration with the medical staff after making a breakthrough in a cure for a virus on a colony that petitioned the Federation’s help.
He didn’t know how towards the end, after all the other staff had left to their quarters, Christine and he had ended up sitting next to each other on a medical bed. He also couldn’t remember who started it, who made the first move, but he did remember the kiss. It was followed by a bit of awkward, lighthearted laughter, before they both retired to their own quarters for the night.
The next day, McCoy dragged himself early to sickbay, partially to give himself a little medication to help with his hangover, but more to bury himself in his work as quickly as possible. When Christine arrived for her shift, Leonard looked up briefly from a microscope he was examining, and gave her a short nod with a quick “Nurse Chapel” spoken as professionally and briefly as he could before his attention was back on his work.
Interview with Dr. McCoy
“Sorry, Doc.” she took a breath. Being able to meet Dr. Leonard McCoy was such a great honor and she was bit star struck. “If you have the technology to be able to prove that I am who I say I am, then by all means, go for it.” She tilted her head at him, “Or I could just tell you something about your past that was told to me by a woman named Jadiza Dax. I believe that you would have known her by the name of Emony Dax.” She smiled at him, waiting for his response.Â
It wasn’t that the girl’s story was far fetched, Leonard had seen enough during their five year exploratory mission to know that nearly anything was possible, no matter how improbable or implausible. Of course, that could also mean this was all some sort of weird, elaborate trap, as he’d been in enough of those situations, too. When she brought up the name Emony, though, he brightened up a little bit.
“Emony Dax? It’s been years since I heard that name. Yes, I know Emony, but I have no idea who Jadzia is... unless...” McCoy began, but he stopped, frowning. Emony had told him something about Trill that their people didn’t want to be widely known, and he aimed to keep that promise. “All right, so what exactly did she tell you about my past?”
Spock watched as the doctor picked up the small creature and listened to his little story about Earth history. “They do possess a certain… appeal.” Which was the vulcan’s way of telling that he understood the emotional support they could give.
Despite the difference in size and appearance, the kitten made him think about I-Chaya, his beloved sehlat. The pet had died many years ago, but there was still a twinge of sadness whenever he thought about him.
Spock pushed away the thoughts about the sehlat, continuing to watch the kitten in McCoy’s arms. It seemed to be as interested in the vulcan as the vulcan was in it. Though it obviously liked the closeness of the doctor, it sniffed the air and stretched it’s little head towards Spock and he had to repress that smile again.
With some hesitation, he eventually held out his hand, letting the little ball of fur smell his skin. After having gotten a better whiff of that scent, the kitten pushed it’s head gently against Spock’s fingertips. When the vulcan didn’t seem to react, the little creature took another tactic and licked the outstretched hand. “Oh…” Spock uttered quietly, seemingly surprised by this action and somewhat awkwardly tried to pet it.
There was always an interesting thing that happened to Spock when he was trying to suppress his emotions that McCoy had noted. It was like the science officer’s face was fighting with itself to keep as blank and expressionless as possible. Still, if Bones looked at the right moment, he could catch the ghost of a smile or the remnants of a frown on the Vulcan’s face.
Just as he saw the repressed smile on Spock’s lips as the kitten stretched towards him. Unable to keep from smiling himself, and not looking to hide that fact in the least, Bones moved just a little closer so that the kitten didn’t have to stretch so far. Watching the interaction between the humanoid and the feline was fascinating in itself, but it was also a very rare moment when Spock was letting some of his human side slip through.
As far as he knew, not many people besides himself and Jim got to see that.
McCoy chuckled lightly when the kitten tried its hardest to get Spock’s affections, looking from the kitten back up to the other man. “Don’t ask me why, but I think she likes ya, Spock.”

“I told Jim I don’t like those contraptions. Had to this time, though, since a near by storm wouldn’t of allowed safe travel by shuttle.” He was pretty infuriated at Jim, but he knew better than to take it out on his other self.
“Scotty and I had a conversation about these parallel universes before. A version of Spock had made it into ours.” He took the PADD and analyzed the results. “I suppose the facts point to your story. I guess this is the best outcome out of a damn malfunction.” He sighs, not liking the fact that everything he knew was gone.
He looked defeated, he knew there would be no way to accurately return to his own time line. “I don’t know how these event effect the Prime Directive, so what do we do?”
“We try to get you back where you belong.” Leonard said, tilting his head with a raised brow as he looked at this other, younger version of himself. He looked worn down, beat, and he wondered how different their lives were from each other. At least he knew this version still became a doctor. That would probably make solving the matter a breeze.
“You said Jim. I’m assuming you mean Jim Kirk? He’s the Captain of our Enterprise. We’re on a five year mission to explore space. Any of this sound familiar to ya?”
Y’rehl’s grip slackened as McCoy spoke, the muddled panic of his half-waking mind giving way before the reasoned sanity of words and surroundings.
“A—a toxin. Yes. It was—there was something in the cargo bay next to the labs. We weren’t to disturb it, but the attack meant damage, and some of the cargo cases were cracked. We were trying to contain them.”
The doctor nodded, glad that his patient was at least awake and aware enough to give him the information he needed. He still was running tests to identify the toxin in the Romulan’s blood stream, but that would take some time.
“All right, Y’rehl, is it? You have any idea what sort of material was inside the cases? If I can get that information, I’ll be able to clear up your system in no time.”
“Oh I do.” she purred, finishing mending the bone and turning the dial to set it back to check her work, analyzing the bone density on the monitor. “Am I being a very bad girl? Do you want to take me to the storage room and spank me, doctor McCoy?” she purred, administrating a hypospray of ibprophan. “You’re all set, you might be a little sore for a few hours, but it’ll be gone by morning. Any complications or conserns, just come on back.”
As the patient gratefully got away from the two doctors, McCoy’s arms crossed over his chest and he frowned at Alyce, raising a brow. “Y’know, I think it’d be more of a punishment t’ya if I didn’t take ya to the storage room for a spankin’.” Looking around with the grumpy frown on his face, Leonard couldn’t help but notice that the rest of the medical staff had everything handled. “Looks like we’re in the clear. Time to start putting together our reports, I suppose.”
Chekov swallowed, turning pink. It was the first time that this had been brought up. He was going to be on this ship and with this doctor for five years, he supposed he shouldn’t be too embarassed about his transition. “I, erm.” he rubbed the back of his neck. “I get headaches but I don’t think that has anything to do with… With zat.”
Leonard looked up from the chart at the young Ensign, lips pursed together in a dissatisfied manner. “Well, y’sure don’t know that yet, son. There’s all kinds of things that can cause chronic headaches, and improper hormone dosage can be one of those things.” Despite the stern words, there was concern on the doctor’s face, and he set his chart down to grab a tool.
“I’m gonna take a blood sample, just to be sure. How often do you have these headaches?”
"Do you have a Valentine yet?"
@nerienspock
“Odd question coming from you, Mr. Spock.” McCoy said, looking at the Vulcan curiously. “You don’t strike me as the type to be interested in such an emotional holiday.”
“I am not. I merely asked because I know it is a holiday you humans celebrate and you are an unusually emotional person, Doctor. I thought that this tradition might have a significant value to you because of that.” Spock replied, giving McCoy his usual raised-eyebrows-look.
Bones raised a brow right back at Spock, eyeing him suspiciously before he gave a bit of a shrug. “Usually, you need someone around who’s of significant romantic value to enjoy the holiday. I’ve been divorced for years, never really considered much about romance since. So to answer your question, Spock, no, I do not have a Valentine.”
