what is a little detail about your oc that is seemingly insignificant but actually has quite a bit of story behind it? (whether in-universe or out-of-universe is up to you)

#Mordecai's tail! specifically the place it's kinked #due to his diabolic nature he used to spook animals a lot as a kid #and one day he startled a horse that was hitched to a cart #the horse bolted and his tail got caught in the spokes and yoinked pretty hard #the break was never properly treated so it healed very wonky. and the force of the pull kinda messed up the base of his spine #he's got pretty bad lower back pain because of it #and he developed a fear of horses. or maybe just a nervousness around them I guess #but anyway later on when he started learning magic from his adoptive mom the first spell he learned was one that calmed animals #and it made him really happy that he could finally interact with animals and form bonds with them n shit :)
