The reason for Benedict's offer to Sophie be his mistress might be that he actually doesn't love her. Not yet. Hear me out.
If he had loved her he wouldn't endanger her position and reputation like that. So far when it comes to her he mostly feels lust. However, he is developing deeper feelings for her but something is holding him back. And that is the lady in silver. He still loves her, or the fantasy of her, therefore he can't be true with Sophie. But he's already getting confused and has them mixed up in his head as seen in ep4. Now he has to find out Sophie actually is the lady in silver so he can truly develop his feelings toward her by connecting them. That the love and lust he feels is for the very same woman.
That's MOTHER BRIDGERTON

Yeah I'm good with the change with Zeus actually turning Thalia into a tree because she learned about the Great Prophecy and didn't want to side with her father. I'm not even shocked.
Never forget Jason Grace.
And I'm not just talking about how he died and Zeus gave no fucks. I mean his whole fucking life.
Raised in Camp Jupiter, being forced into a position of leadership, adored by other campers but unable to make close friendships like everyone, different from everyone. The child of Jupiter that carried the weight of the world on his shoulders and didn't get even an acknowledgement from his father. Who used the one Zeus talked to him and praised him to defend Apollo. Who died before his dreams got realised. Who died protecting his loved ones and making sure the future mattered by making Apollo see how things needed to be better. Who accepted his death long before it happened to save Piper. Jason who lived constantly for others and never himself. Jason who was the weapon crafted by the gods to fight the Titans.
And Zeus wanted Thalia to be like him.
Mind you, this is probably the last time we see the trio laughing together for a very long time
You guys get nightmares, right? Not like mine. Because mine just woke up.
