they had to have adam be running around doing ley line stuff at the end of tdt because if he was at that fourth of july party he simply would have murdered kavinsky and that would be that. and then the last two chapters of the book would be back to back solved by violence and instead of 'accept and value yourself' the message would've been, 'your problems can be solved with a gun'.

every single main character in the raven cycle is super careful with adam physically and refuse to do anything to hurt him and i find that very sweet and cute but it just becomes funny when there are at least 2 scenes where adam is being controlled by something that wants to kill them all and scratch their eyes out or something. a scene which in most media means one of them is forced to knock him out with a punch or something equivalent. but in the raven cycle everyone present is like. but we cant hurt our lil guy adam 🥺 #ouradam . and reading it im just like.
