Natalie Clifford Barney also ran a very well-regarded Paris salon that was like mostly a lesbian salon but other people were Also Invited Too Sometimes, I Guess.
One of Barney’s most long-term partners was Oscar Wilde’s only niece, a badass lesbian named Dolly Wilde.
Barney is a complicated and messy person and I don’t want to glorify her but that whole group of women are all very interesting to read about. Truly Wilde by Joan Schenkar is one possible starting place if you want to learn more.
…Also, Vivien and Barney were only together for about a year, so a biopic about their relationship would have to be quite short.
