more on this idea, i think i would run a campaign in the US. Because the world is 18 different layers of fake, i’m going to continue the simon snow trilogy how i wanna.

it would be set in the US, AWTWB is set in 2019??? covidless 2020?? can’t remember exactly. this campaign would be like literally whatever year i’m making it, assumably 2024.

post wayward son activities and all that awesome US lore drops. Mitali Bunce decides the unorganized state of the US is an issue that must be dealt with (especially due to the NowNext situation, which has been dealt with by now)

we have NO IDEA what mages and magic (campaign name?) are like in the north east, or any other more populated and culturally different area than the midwest. so it’s kinda free range. i’m thinking there’s some sort of organization within specific areas.

Like i don’t know that person personally; but i know they’re also a mage. type of vibe. maybe there are mage families who are family friends, and just get invited to things like any other close family friends. they just also happen to be mages. less of a secret magic society, and just a non-discussed community

back to Mitali; basically her main goal is to open some type of Watford 2, the squeakquel. I’m thinking a boarding school in Maine, but takes anyone who wants to go (and is a mage obviously). this perfectly avoids secrets within the ancient campus scenario amazingly. which gives me the opportunity to do something completely different, new scandals!!!

the campaign would following a pre-existing friend group who go to this school. it’s probably been up and running for 1 year prior to this, so they’d be Sophmores (15-16). the only students would be them and the freshmen grade behind them. (this can change really depending on the ages people wanna play).

this pre-existing friend group can be whatever, from anywhere in the US, with any type of relationship with magic. using the language based magic system as well. and shenanigans continue from there!

Nina is one of my favorite SoC characters!! I’ve drawn her a lot, but this is the first drawing of her that I’ve posted. I like the coloring and composition, however I’m not sure if it gives off the same vibe as she does in the books. I still like the drawing, however I think my previous drawings of her are better.
