“I stopped looking for the light. Decided to become it instead.”
— Francheska
why is being alive so… like this
Tomorrow maybe I will prepare my favourite dish, Rice With Ingredient
I feel like adhd bored is different than neurotypical bored because like. You don’t understand. I have a billion things I could be doing. I turn on the tv. I stare at the Netflix screen for five minutes. Flip through shows and movies for the next thirty minutes. Nothing looks good. I put in a video game. Play for two minutes. Not feeling it. I load up YouTube. Watch half a video before closing the app. Maybe I’ll read a book? I stare at my giant bookshelf. The thought of starting a new book seems too hard. I lay in bed and play phone games for six hours. Nothing has gotten done. Still bored.
I feel like a better term for this experience is “restless.”
Sometimes nothing sounds good; I have a specific experiential craving or itch that needs to be scratched but I don’t know what it is or how to placate it so I will rapidly cycle through activities in search of something that will provide the level/type of stimulation I crave. Like a tiger pacing in the zoo.
It’s a really bad, unbearably vibratey itchy feeling. A craving for relief that takes too great a mental effort to overcome.
It can be physical too…sometimes if I don’t walk/pace it feels like my bones are squiggly and it’s as unpleasant as it sounds
“this horror movie isn’t very good-”
This is the path the horror fan must walk, this is the path I have chosen.
The path of watching a lot of not very good movies.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Look buddy, i’m just trying to make it to Friday.
reblog if its friday and you made it
In case anyone was curious: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Rochelle Walensky claimed that “So really these are people who were unwell to begin with and yes, really encouraging news in the context of Omicron. The overwhelming number of deaths, over 75 per cent, occurred in people who had at least four comorbidities."
We're just inconvenient to have around. Let us die like lame horses. We were already sick anyways, right?
#mydisabledlifeisworthy
also if you look at the list, it includes things like vitamin deficiencies, anxiety or depression, needing glasses, being short (??), being overweight so like. most. most people??? the vast majority of people??? (to be clear it would be utterly fucked up if they just meant disabled people, but its somehow worse than that)
Don’t forget acne, seasonal allergies and lactose intolerance.
The CDC is using the general populations’ acceptance of eugenics to sell their own deaths to them by saying something people hear as “only the chronically ill and disabled are dying” and then changing the definition of comorbidity to be “any condition the people who are actually dying have” aka common medical conditions. Like lactose intolerance. And acne. And the general population is buying it because they do not GAF how many chronically ill and disabled people die.
im really not trying to be mean here but this one tag from a reblog just so colossally missed the point i cant let it go unacknowledged
the whole message of this post is that the clothes are being made regardless of whether anybody is going to be purchasing them. they’re made in sweatshops, shipped to the other side of the globe, put on racks in thousands of stores, and whatever doesn’t sell is dumped in the fucking desert to make room on those racks for the next shipment.
“buy secondhand only” in response to this is such an egregious misunderstanding and it’s doing the exact fucking thing that is implicitly being criticized by this tweet, which is that individual consumer choices are totally disconnected from the global production of consumer goods and therefore moralizing about making the Correct choices and imploring people to go to fucking goodwill instead of tj maxx is meaningless
one thing about me is i will be in bed

we’ve been hooting with delight over green kitchens as we should be but have we considered: yellow kitchens. I think we should consider yellow kitchens.
