Sorry for us politics posting, but we have until May 22, 2026 to submit public comment to the FCC:
More info from GLAAD:
https://glaad.org/fcc/
They have some good tips about writing a comment and protecting your privacy which, fuck it, I'll just paste here:
Providing an email address is optional. If you have concerns about privacy, you may use your initials or public address in your local area, such as City Hall. Do not use a joke name. It diminishes the comment’s credibility.
Your submission does not need to be long. A single, well-reasoned paragraph is sufficient.
Do not copy/paste a template comment. The FCC values unique perspectives, and an original comment carries significantly more weight in the public record. You can explain why this matters to you without revealing private or sensitive personal information.
Here's what I said:
“Free speech is a fundamental American freedom. I do not need a warning about seeing queer people, much like I do not need a warning about women, veterans, or any other group of people.”
Here's the link to submit your comment by May 22:

there's a massive, underreported subculture on this site that i can only describe as secular mormonism if mormons voted democrat
zero moral nuance
queer-inclusive but still misogynist
don't have to be from the US, do have to act like you are
ostensibly welcoming to everybody, mysteriously white as hell
terrified of the idea that sex could be enjoyable for anyone
absolutely incapable of structural critique, everything is individual moral choices
enforcement through public humiliation and isolation accountability :)
fear of infiltration by a corrupting outside influence - asserting a right to privacy or failing to publicly demonstrate moral in-group status is treated as a confession
the worst music you've ever heard in your life
shunning out the unwanted making a callout post + harassment campaign
trying to create an ebay account to sell smthn and tell me why I can't use my REAL LEGAL LAST NAME because it includes "dick" which ebay considers offensive
BUT THEN IN THEIR MISREPRESENTATION POLICY THEY SAY YOU CAN'T COLLECT MONEY TO A BANK ACCOUNT THAT'S NOT IN YOUR BUSINESS OR LEGAL NAME. BUT MY LEGAL NAME INCLUDES DICK, WHICH YOU CONSIDER OFFENSIVE.
the sanitization of the internet is so fucking stupid we live in the stupidest time
green with envy
we been having the batcock reveal and artists love showing off his batitties but when are we going to see the bathole. whos going to stop being a little coward and have the signature and classic batgooch™ spread shot be just his plush lipped brussy
[ID: a tag by @helianthus-annuus777 that reads: ‘#there was a bat-cock reveal?’ The four photos is two sets—the original panels and the reprinted ones from the comic Batman: Damned #1. The first photo shows Bruce stripping out of his costume and throwing it on the floor of the Batcave. As he undresses, we can see his penis hanging flaccidly before he walks towards the viewer, having full frontal nudity from the chest down. His penis is nothing remarkable to describe or look at, especially when compared to his thick thighs or the scars that litter his body. The second photo is the same as the first but with dark shadows covering his little penis and balls. There's also added dialogue, him asking the computer to run a scan on any injuries then saying bullshit when it reports no evidence of multiple fatal stab wounds. The third and fourth photo is focused on his unfortunately smooth ass as he walks to a different section in the cave and stands in a doorway that leads to his other costumes. In the bottom panel (in the original image), we can see his dick again. The fourth photo has it hidden with shading. There's more dialogue that's been added that's really not important or relevant. END ID]
i would NEVER joke about the batcock reveal... dc may have reprinted it and there was a whole controversy surrounding it (which leads to a bigger discussion about censorship and the prioritization of capitalism and how its slowly killing art and all creativity, both in inhumane deadlines and the sanitization of anything that doesn't fit a set in, marketable image—despite this even being published under dc's black label which is marketed towards mature audience and pushing more extremes since violence is more 'acceptable' than nonsexual nudity, which is a sperate discussion in itself!) BUT the batballs hang low and heavy in my mind at all time!!!!
You need to understand so many people were talking about this and almost all of them were complaining it was too small. The artist's twitter was so slammed with comments he got his mom to ask people to stop being mean to him.
trying to explain to ppl that we live in a misogynistic culture and the media we choose to interact with/not interact is influenced by our implicit biases bc media is part of culture and stories about men being celebrated while stories about women are overlooked is in fact misogyny and
