In no particular order:

Dealing with the Dead - in all honesty I saw the book cover in the train station book store and thought it was fun

The Goldfinch - was recommended by a friend and won a Pulitzer after all! But it's massive and my attention span is looooow so I might get it as an e book and read it on the train.

Das Lachen der Geckos - I haven't read very diverse books apart from American, British and German fiction, French classics from when I was still studying French and Swedish comic books.

There are Rivers in the Sky - is just supposed to be really really good and I love philosophical books about life, I love just life stories

Kallocain - I bought it in Sweden last year and still haven't read it, but my reading speed in Swedish is embarrassing. Also I plan on getting a Karin Boye tattoo this year soooooo

Sunrise on the Reaping - is basically a placeholder for all the Panem books. I read one in December. I think when they first came out in Germany I felt too old for ya fantasy fiction and a bit too cool for its popularity, but I am over this now.

Jena Paradies - I bought this one in one of my favourite book stores in Leipzig , Connewitzer Verlagsbuchhandlung and all I read in January was books set in GDR. I spend the last 5 years invested in WW2 history, only to more on to more German history.

Tagebuch der Anne Frank - mainly because I never read it in school and I feel like I have to.

Hamnet - We watched the movie today and both BFs mom LOVED it and it's ranking highest on my book club's to read list. I will definitely put it as my pick of the month once it's my turn.

Honorary mention to the Jane Austen Book Club which is also on my to read list and Lorna by Paul Maar.
