(pa kent giving The Talk voice) see when a bull and a cow love each other very much, that’s how a calf is born [remembers his son came from space] of course if the bull comes from another farm, the cow might not end up taking, but that’s alright [remembers clark might be gay] sometimes bulls also love other bulls [remembers clark is an alien again] but if the bull is from another farm, he might have a calf if he fools around with bulls from here so he should be careful.
Sorry was gone so ling got stuck in aisle 11 it will happen again
this in particular was a really nice sentiment & it's a concept i think about a lot
Yes, I was talking about you, baby booboo.
No, you're not special because you have Autism.
My brother and nephew also have autism.
It doesn't mean they can't also be assholes, just like evetybody else on this planet.
And you were being an unmitigated, pobresito yo, act-before-you-thought, boohoo.
I don't give two shits you're mad ("mad") at those dudes.
You even said it yourself you never actually watched the video that upset you.
I wish they still taught critical thinking & analysis in school, because tiktok is evidently your most influential educator.
Please refrain from actually taking me seriously; you're too stupidly blinkered to actually understand anything that takes effort.
Please go back to the shed you were locked in during your childhood years because that's where the others with your affliction were kept.
Ohhh i get it you’re a massive piece of shit. Thanks for clearing that up.

An Actual Real Person my Dad knew. Pretty sure he worked as a bush guide. When someone asked the time he’d pull off his hat - some kind of broad brim - and use to take a few measurements of the sun’s position relative to the horizon. Then he’d declare the time.
He was accurate to the minute.
Fvvdvddsfdssdhnvfh you get back here and say this to the rest of the crew
Yeah i have a “dopamine addiction” it came free with my late stage capitalism and mammalian nervous system.
“hes a woman to me” IS HE? or are you equating women with submissive character traits you've arbitrarily put on a random man
“he’s a woman to me” “ummm isn’t that kind of misogynistic? are you equating womanhood with submission—”
BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK sorry i couldn’t hear you over the sound of me putting a fictional man in a slutty apron and calling him mommy. sorry. i was too busy hand-feeding him strawberries and then writing 12k of emotional devastation and domestic porn. sorry i gendered him like a little fucked up doll in a victorian nursery.
YES. HE’S A WOMAN TO ME. HE’S A HOUSEWIFE. HE’S A HIGH-FEM BRAT. HE’S A PRETTY LITTLE THING WHO GETS RAWED IN THE MOONLIGHT AND MAKES SOFT WHIMPERS AND BAKES BREAD TO COPE. AND I DO NOT CARE IF IT MAKES SENSE.
HE IS MADE OF TROPES. HE IS MADE OF VIBES. HE IS MADE OF GLITTER AND TEARS AND POST-WAR PTSD. HE IS WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT. HE IS NOT A MAN. HE IS NOT A WOMAN. HE IS A TRAGEDY IN LACE.
you’re talking about “misogyny” like i didn’t just write a fic where he gets folded in half by a feral beast of a love interest and then cries because he’s “too used to not being touched gently.” BABE. THERE IS NO DIGNITY HERE. ONLY CATHARSIS.
your academic thinkpiece cannot survive the heat of my horny little monkey brain. you want to talk about gender roles?? I WANT TO PUT HIM IN A COLLAR. I WANT TO GIVE HIM A GENDERCRISIS VIA DICK. I WANT TO MAKE HIM THE MAID AND THE MUSE AND THE MADONNA.
and also? sometimes i call him a manwhore for getting railed twice in one chapter and still being emotionally unavailable. because HE DESERVES IT. because I SAID SO. because it’s FUNNY and UNHINGED and that’s the POINT.
you are not fixing the world. i am not breaking it. we are both feral rats arguing over a Barbie doll in a trench coat. take your discourse and go. i’ve got work to do. i’m about to make him lactate out of spite.
this is already an absolutely tone-deaf and borderline transmisogynistic response but i think it gets even more jawdropping when your blog makes it really obvious youre talking about alexander hamilton
The "woman is when sex" writer when you critique "woman is when submissive"
found goat milk and wheat ale at the store. theres no way im NOT making a white gilgamesh tonite

sam’s dad?
So trump disappeared because he and elon were having hot breakup sex. Cool
when are adults gonna stop with “kids shouldn’t be exposed to [difficult or sensitive topic] until they can understand it” and realize it’s not possible to understand a thing until you encounter it
like okay probably don’t take your toddler to the movies for the first time and choose Violent Bloodbath 4: Everyone Gets Decapitated but putting them in a media bubble that doesn’t let them confront stuff on their own terms and schedule with you there to help process is some lazy bullshit
Related issue:
“Kids shouldn’t make “big” decisions because they haven’t developed decision making skills yet.“
And as such will never learn decision making skills you numbskull!
Everyone underestimates kids’ ability to understand things. I knew a five year old who not only knew what order bats were in but could say it correctly. Explain a concept in an easy to parse way and they will understand. And frankly it is safer if someone they can trust is able to explain whatever topic it is than them finding out about it later.
not to derail my own post but I’ve been wondering all day what “what order bats are in” means. is this a baseball thing or are you a bat scientist who likes to arrange your bats in some kind of specific way. how do you get the bats to stay in their assigned place
I assume “order” as in categorization of animals into groups.
oh that makes a fuckton more sense ye
"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.
six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.
point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but it won't build you the the muscles.
I think of an art teacher I had once who said he used to be terrible at drawing hands until he bought a book with 100 pictures of hands shown from various angles and drew each hand in the book 10 times. Magically, after drawing 1,000 pictures of hands, he wasn't bad at drawing hands anymore.
The reason OP could bullshit a decent essay in a 30 minute bus ride is because OP knew how to write and craft a well-reasoned analysis thanks to a childhood full of writing and critical thinking practice.
Feel like I'm transforming into one of those reddit assholes, but this genuinely is just a "skill issue" and you really do just have to "git gud."
How Tumblr thinks students ask ChatGPT for help with their homework:
How it actually works:
Subscription and open access journals from Sage, the world's leading independent academic publisher.
Guess what, if you actually bother learning to use a tool you can take great advantage of it without cheating. Cheating is not the point of the AI, it is a choice a user makes that has existed at the very least since Ea Nasir, and whether you use it for that or not it's not the bot's fault. Everyone who is using it to cheat five years ago would've found a different way to cheat; academic dishonesty was not invented in November 2022.
First: yes, plenty of people are doing exactly the thing that you are saying they aren't. People are lazy and only do the work they like or that they need to do. LLMs let them skip research and just paste in the text texts and that is a problem.
Second: My man, you are asking the hallucination robot to not only give you sources, but to give you proofs to a conclusion you have drawn before the research. Classic texas sharp-shooter. No bias correction can save you there. Perhaps you are using this old disingenuous debate style where you argue for points that you do not believe as is common in the anglosphere, but even in that case this will not protect you from blind spots since alternate viewpoints will be excluded from your research so you can't even steel-man your arguments.
Third: Google Scholar gives you hundreds of sources and alternative search terms at your finger tips and you haven't even asked wikipedia, a librarian or an expert in the field yet so there would many more sources you could yet find. You clearly want to put in the work. Your imagination can find so many different angles of attack to any problem if you allow yourself to use it.
On the first point: since I was in middle school until the end of university people paid me to do their homework for them. If your argument is that before AI plagiarism was an extremely rare and shocking thing you are fooling yourself. Hell, it's even a stereotype in movies: George McFly was doing Biff Tannen's homework as far back as 1985 and I'm sure if we looked for older examples it would be easy to find them.
Second, this isn't meant to be an exhaustive example, nor is it a tutorial. It was just a basic demonstration of how it could be used in an honest way. Are there other tools? Sure. But they also have their disadvantages. For example, at least four of those titles are almost identical. if you keep checking the next pages there's probably 300 more. Google Scholar depends on you knowing the right keywords to look up, which depending on your research might not always be helpful. For an actual example, whenever I want to read something about Mayan languages I have to constantly dodge stuff about Maya the programming language, as well as people who just happen to be named Maya. Which if I have a deadline coming is just frustratingly wasting my time.
My point is not that AI is an objective improvement over what previously existed. My point is that it's just another tool: it's not a "plagiarism machine", it's not a superintelligence that has all the answers, it's just a program, and whatever you do with that program is on the human who uses it, not on the tool itself. A hammer can build a house or break a skull. It has strong points and weak points, and just as there are people who use it for laziness and theft there are people who use it for productivity and alternative perspectives that they may not initially consider. It's not a replacement, it's a complement. Google Scholar is incredibly powerful but it's not infallible, and so is this. I just want to make it clear that being against a hammer is not morally virtuous inherently; you need to know what you believe in, why you believe it, and constantly challenge those assertions to make sure you have it right. If you really hate the bot so much, at the very least you should be able to understand it and explain in detail why it's the spawn of satan.
I'm a millennial. I saw this backlash years ago with smartphones. Before, it was the internet. Before that, it was radio. Before it was fiction novels. I could go on as far as the paleolithic and keep citing examples of people who opposed learning tools and got left behind by society. And it doesn't make them better than us, it doesn't even make them right or wrong; it's a decision based on ignorance and fear, not reason, and that's what I'm against. AI is good for some things and terrible for others, but "throw it into the fires of Mordor" is not a rational nor realistic plan to act on its arrival. It's childish and ignorant and proud of those things, and I find that more reprehensible than cheating on a high school essay every once in a while.
Once upon a time, it was much rarer precisely because you had to convince someone else to do it for you.
Now you can ask a plagiarism machine to make up sources for you that don't exist, and call that a paper.
You're on the losing side here. Sorry. It's a piece of shit "tool" and all it does is a worse job at stuff WE ALREADY HAVE.
Not to fucking mention they’re doing this in the united states’ government now. Like the for real United States of America’s government officials are utilizing bullshit fake AI generated data and sources to create policies and studies and reports, often utilizing the same “non-plagiarism” method that @ecrivainsolitaire is speaking of.
Also we need water more than we need students to use non verified, scientifically unproven methods of study. If i, 10 years ago, had a buddy who was an expert (not really he just made shit up exactly like what the experts usually talk about ((which is precisely how LLMs work might i add)) and then he spat it out onto a page) sit next to me and even write down most, if not all, of my sources and writings, i would not expect to be given a good grade on that paper. Even if it is “tool use” essays and other scientific/educational endeavors are not supposed to be subject to anything but yourself and the necessary resources that assist yourSELF in doing the work required.
it’s time. tell me ur favorite book you read in 2024. also least favorite if you’ve got one!
Worm, and my least favorite was actually also worm
Glad to see we’re all having a normal one in 2025.
I love the very idea of the paris catacombs like. yeah sure the real-life city of paris has a straight-up megadungeon sprawling under it. Why not.
There’s also bones.
“Well how much bones.” I can assure you a comical amount. You’d think I was joking amount. Dark Souls ass decoration amount
This is just like. A couple of pictures off google. i’ve been there. There’s piles of bones they haven’t been through.
Nobody in the notes mentioned this fact but i need to emphasize there is absolutely so much bones. There is a dungeon and it’s decorated like this. There’s bone piles and shit that hasn’t even been discovered. The mega dungeon is not only big it looks like that. They literally need to sort it out from the amount of bones. There are so many dead people beneath paris in a dark souls crypt.
Lotsa people in the notes of this post pointing out that Paris isn't unique in this regard and actually most cities have sprawling underground complexes under them (sewers, cisterns, railway systems, etc)
And like yeah but like. None of them look like a stereotypical evil dungeon in an RPG as the Paris catacombs. It's not just that it has a lot of tunnels under it it's that it has a lot of Dark Souls looking ass tunnels under it.
Detailed map of the Paris Catacombs in English [7000x7000 px]
Went on a guided tour in 2003 (mostly to escape the heatwave), and to this day my wife swears someone tapped her on the shoulder - there was no-one behind us.
in 2004 they found a secret cinema down there
heres a blog post from 2012 with pictures:
apparently gizmodo and wired both found the group behind the cinema, 'les UX', but the articles linked are now error 404 pages.
So im just supposed to fuckin, continue with my day without an invite to the catacombs film club? Like that’s feasible?
