Because of Suwan’s genetically modified physiology.
He is able to store far greater amounts of Aether in his body then normal persons.
Suwan doesn’t suffer from Aether sickness or fatigue as quickly as a normal persons.
Since creation Suwan has been a prodigy for manipulating and storing Aether. Thus casting spells and tapping into sources of Aether is much easier for him and less strain on his body.

Suwan has studied several forms of Magick Arts through the years and he constantly reads Magick textbooks to bolster his knowledge. Suwan draws his Magick powers from multiple sources: the invocation of powerful Gods, the manipulation of ambient aether and celestial aetheric energies, and his own psychic aetherial resources.

Limitations: Suwan needs to vocally chant his spells for them to have an effect. They can be long incantations and some require complicated hand gestures or deep mental state/trances. Should he be gagged or bound he will be unable to cast. Suwan also needs to have a connection to his aether sources. He is powerless against anti-magick fields/tech. Temporal Spells cast against him seem to have a stronger effect.
