What is your OC's deepest desire? Would they ever ask for this?

~ All my OCs tend to have relatively simple desires just as a byproduct for how I made them and the things i based them off of.

~ For Judas, its purely to feel safe and loved, although in canon shes Not getting this from Eloise. She can convince herself! but!!! shes not actually getting it by any means. not exactly a thing she can ask for, i dont think shes even aware of this desire herself tbh

~ Eloise wants to love and doesnt want the grieving that intrinsically comes with loving. Though as a specification, in her case, its more so that shes grieved so much that she just wants to love, and to love wholly. idk i have lots of thoughts about love and grief, My Top Themes. She could have literally any woman she chooses in that place but because shes sick in the head .aff she has to be odd and weird about it. she also just doesnt want to accept the finality of death. its not really a thing she can ask for

~ Ivo's most base desire is to protect. But because its the late 60s hellll no hes not asking that of Tenma. see instead he just gets weirdly overbearing after Tenma's incident and refuses to look any deeper than surface level "my best friend just almost died and the Mission Cant Have That." sure about that man? anything else?

~ Tenma's most base desire i havent really pinned down tbh. just took em off the backburner for the first time in months yk.

~ Miriam doesnt have one because shes dead

i’m so serious when i say excessive fear of being annoying/creepy/taking up people’s energy etc holds us back. it seems like it’s just little things but they add up. over the past month i’ve ordered food and drinks almost exclusively by asking “do you have a favorite?” and i know if i said that on twitter or wherever ppl would dogpile me for demanding emotional labor of servers or w/e but every single person i’ve asked has seemed genuinely psyched to answer! i don’t ask if it’s busy obvi, and use a phrasing that gives them the easy out of “i don’t have one”— but no one has taken it! the girl at the cafe confessed to me with something like conspiracy in her voice how everybody raves about the gluten free chocolate chip cookies and sure, they’re great, but the delicious, fluffy homemade waffles are RIGHT THERE. the barbera the bartender recommended was actually kind of awful but it broke the ice and we ended up talking for like 45 minutes. the bodega guy declared that he usually makes himself a burger but tonight was “a breakfast sandwich night” and tbh he was totally right. it WAS a breakfast sandwich night

reading reviews and tags of backrooms (2026) makes me so fucking angry omfg. did the message go over everyone’s head????? cycles of abuse????? the immorality of the psychiatric and medical systems???? the horrors of being a woman in patriarchal society???? the horrors of being an abuse victim trying to navigate the world?????? the consequences of trying to ‘fix people’, especially men as a woman, and especially abusers as a survivor????? how trying to fix the abusive system you live under using the tools of that same system doesn’t work??????? how destructive enabling abusive behaviour, even as part of healing to ‘fix’ an abuser, can be????? is anyone listening or do you only care about the random white man!???!?!!!?????
