Okay fine I do think part of the fun of Trobed is the tang of homophobia surrounding the relationship. Britta trying a little too hard to be a cool ally. Shirley going from clumsily trying to segue in Bible verses condemning homosexuality, to equally clumsily trying to segue Bible verses supporting them when she starts to come around. Jeff using the line “you aren’t just cool because you’re gay now” whenever he feels like one of them is stealing his thunder. Annie so hypervigilant about protecting their feelings that it’s getting weird. Everyone shouting down Pierce’s blatant homophobia but in a way that’s like. Oh oof maybe not like that y’all.
