The 118 are at the hospital, Maddie just gave birth. Chimney calls them in, in pairs, as to not overwhelm the baby too much. Buck and Eddie are the first to go in —together, because why wouldn't they.

Buck holds the baby, and talks to it so earnestly it's compelling. And Eddie is standing beside Chimney, watching them starstruck. Eddie asks Chim about the baby's name. Chimney smiles, and "Joy."

Buck and Joy. Buck is holding Joy. And it hits Eddie then, what an ironic and heartbreaking realization that all this time Buck has been holding Joy.

These directors have me stressed out lately with the 'work partners pathologically obssesed with each other and co-dependent' storylines that are uncommitted romantically though they insist in continuing to show their potential together and ultimate longing for each other.

Sydcarmy is to me exactly like Buddie, minus the crazy emergencies and near death experiences—The directors keep giving me blue balls.

Angela Bassett earlier today at GMA talking about how someone approached her during the mission impossible press-tour in London (at the airport) and whispered to her to bring Bobby back and now she's talking about how it was a closet casket funneral so it could be up to things... IJBOL if that man is alive then Bobby Nash Jr. was for nothing, I'm crying.

Honestly i have to give it to 911, i don't think they could fumble that hard if they tried to fumble. They actually managed to ruin all arcs for all characters. Like damn.

I just wanted to say that this just makes peter krause send off the more pathetic and humiliating not only for the character that has meant so much to so many people and is the foundation of the show, but to the actor himself who didn't even want to leave to begin with.

christopher and eddie sharing a look of complicity for a couple of seconds whilist buck is turned to hug pepa, leaving him out of the loop to whatever silent conversation they're having, is proof enough to me that they are not going back to el paso anytime soon.

genuinely enraged at the way some people are interpreting eddie's reaction when he is arguing with buck in his kitchen. for a show that is so clear in their intentions, and it's so obvious that eddie is going through the worse bit not having talked to anyone about that phone call. frustrated that the only person he would be willing to talk to not only did not ask about his feelings, but is completely shutting everyone off while trying to live up to a dead man's wishes. eddie, worried about buck and about himself at the uncertain state of the 118 doesn't know what to do about this saddening situation, that he feels guilty enough for not having been there. —you guys continously and purposefully take scenes and blow them out of proportion to suit your agendas against eddie as a character. but you never come up to any logic end because your arguments are premeditated racist bullshit from the 101 book on how to be a bigot and disguising it as only and just fan-favouritism.

poc, especially those of black and latino heritage are continously targeted in the real world where they get actually harmed and worst case scenario killed for the exposure of said feelings. they can't show complex emotion in and out of screen without it being weaponised and turned against them. I need you all to realise how rooted in racism that mindset is. because if your first reaction to seeing a mexican man rightfully point fingers at a white man while holding his shoulder is that of abuse, while it completely goes over your head that marely a few seasons ago it was bobby (a white man) actually pinning buck to a wall for not minding his business... then I've got some fucking news for you.

I'm tired of this bullshit every other day, and that you people selectively decide to make an enemy of eddie for calling buck out (just like yall did with chim months ago for hitting buck, in his own desperation and anger.) I don't give a fuck if it was one or the other, bt's or hardcore buck stans. the way you treat the characters is a reflection of your political convictions, and continously downplaying and invalidating asians, africans and south americans' experiences, like they're supposed to be robots that maneuver at your commodity when they're real ppl that have the same capacity to experiment shit as you do, says eveything I need to know about the kind of person you are.

so if you, as a white person or otherwise, is villianising the complexities of grief only when it comes to poc, you've got a real fucking problem.

delusional takes aside; there's is something so thrilling about the way they have been writting buck and eddie's character this season (in relation to each other, I'm still pissed about eddie not being present for the two parter and that his texas arch looked so rushed) that is both so obviously hinting at the harbouring of feelings beyond friendship and the subtlety of those same feelings unsaid.

buck has so far in the story build up a wall around his relationship with eddie because of his fear that the latter might slip further away from him by 'he's straight'-ing his feelings. and that's the whole point, right? of the recurring visuals of buck and eddie separated by glass doors/walls, concrete walls, a whole state...etc, buck's petty shenanigans and sabotages, the mention of knocking down walls, the 'nobody can talk to you about it' and 'you never asked what it was like'. It's all leading to the same end, of eddie knocking them down.

the writers alluding to buck knowingly having barriers that he would never cross because he doesn't want to lose eddie and rejecting the idea that he might be in love. and the only way to knock them down is by having eddie take that step forward and reassure buck that he is a permanent in his life, and that he loves him (both of them : Chris and Eddie.)

someone's cousin working on set or whatever let me know if the photo of bobby where tracie in the background is wearing the same outfits seen on the tiktok posted months ago I think for aisha's birthday(?), and peter wearing the same outfit from the 'guess the season' tiktok are deleted scenes from the first pic's episode, or something else (the buckley parents being there too?????)

I need to know ASAP before I crash-out.

The first stills we get with athena, harry and may —her children look weirded the f*ck out by whatever it is that she's doing. now, this could be an investigation she's undergoing that's either got to do with bobby or something else entirely unrelated - but she can't stop obssesiong over. - OR, basing on the pen she's holding and her hand gesture, she could also be measuring something and writting the metrics with the red pen.

but still, I think the investigation makes a lot more sense if we look at the other stills where she is working on a case, and I also don't think harry and may would look this worried/weirded out and baffled about it if it was anything other that athena seemingly losing her sanity.

then we have athena at hen and karen's. I think this is interesting because by the looks of it, chimney is dressed up to go somewhere. maybe, and just hear me out; karen - hen & chimney - maddie double date dinner or individual dates, but the point is they're trying to go out somewhere so they can talk and find some normalcy in the chaos. they know athena is in the trenches, trying to keep herself busy to not spiral. so they call her up, and ask her to babysit the kids (denny, mara, and jee.)

I wonder if this calm before the storm that the stills bring are moments before eveything is put upside down again (there's no earthquake stills, so maybe that happens by the end of the episode and continues on 8x18. OR if maybe the earthquake will come while the couples are out and athena is looking after the kids.) and mostly, I wonder if this calm that is settling in athena will soon be disrupted by bobby's new coming (because call me crazy, but I still believe he could be alive.)

+ correct me if I am wrong but isn't this sam roach? the same kid who played cartcop back in episode 8, before the hiatus (8x08.) so we are having yet again another call-back and it makes u wonder.... with the way 8x08 ended it almost looked incomplete. the suspense was clearly there, and I thought for the longest that we would have something referencing this storilyne during the serial killer arch, but oh! it's interesting if he's back now and I need to know ASAP what it means.

"buck contemplates where he should be" this gotta be rage bait there's no way. though I suppose it makes sense since there's nothing established in the 'buddie' front of it all, and if it comes to eddie and chris coming back, buck wouldn't hesitate to give them their home. I wonder if this is (also) related to working at the 118 now that bobby is not around (yet.)

"maddie and chim prepare for the baby" yup yup... I know that's right. we are definetely having a call-back to Jee's birth when the 118 answered to the drunk driver that caused Albert to be involved in the accident as collateral damage. I am going over who it is that will get hurt (or ehem ehem resurrect) when Maddie gives birth.
