the idea of secretly traveling to my uncles (mother's [the evil mom i live with] brother) funeral to help my aunt move some stuff back to their home state - shouldnt intrigue me as much as it does, but what the hell is she going to do about it now

It is not my responsibility to teach her how to have hard conversations, she is the fucking adult in ALL of these situations

asking me to go to the funeral would have been a good place to start, or even telling me you know something (figured out why she was out of control on friday - my cousins finally decided when to hold services and probably shared the news) could have been a good jumping point

grief is hard and it is shit having to say goodbye to three family members in 9 weeks

my abuser got to see and speak to me - i was hugged and i wanted to hurt him for it but couldnt, or even escape to someone who knows what he has done, BESIDES THE SISTER OF MY FATHER WHO I HAVENT SPOKEN TO SINCE SHE THREATENED TO WASH MY MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP WHO HAS TOLD ME TO JUST GET OVER IT FOR FAMILY SAKE - and i am still here

angry, frustrated, hurt, sad, and so so so confused

And yet,

i had to sneak mail out of the house and food into the fridge

Nothing about this situation makes sense or is working

The old man and i have a trip coming up - hope his therapist has an opening before we hit the road

My mother found my LinkedIn account and liked it to show me she’s still there. May not seem like much to people who haven’t experienced abuse at the hands of a parent but she is a very obsessive woman, I have blocked her on everything I can think of and she still finds a place to insert herself that I didn’t think of. It ends up triggering my CPTSD.

What if she shows up, what if she’s made a fake account to continue to monitor me without me realising, what if I accidentally reveal something about my location and she shows up?

I know it’s control she wants, it’s not care. She thinks now because I have finished uni that I’ll have nowhere to go and so I will come back but I would rather eat both my hands then go back.

My reaction isn’t as extreme as it used to be, it was instant tears, panic and anger now we have come down to frustration and the ‘what if’ thoughts but it doesn’t affect my life anywhere near as much as it did. It’s only been 3 months and I have already been able to get to a place where my life doesn’t revolve around her. I can’t wait for that to happen for you and I know in the moment everything she does dictates all your actions but the second you’re free you won’t look back and you’re life will drastically improve.

Honestly that’s a shout, I considered it for a bit but then was like USA? No. Australia? Too many scary things and finally South Africa which I was seriously considering but like it’s too far for the puppy and he would die in the warm weather which honestly same. Making life whimsy in the UK instead.

Also I feel like my best friends would kill me and I’m not confident enough in my job skills to even attempt it in another country
