Hey can you guys reblog Cheeseburger so he can take a sunbeam nap on lots of blogs. No other reason I just want you guys to see him.
So, Cheeseburger died on November 21st after an unfairly short battle with an unfairly rare cancer that is rarely seen in cats. I only got to spend a month with him after his diagnosis, and losing him has been the greatest heartbreak of my entire life so far. He was my best friend and my soul cat, and he was there for me when I was completely alone, for twelve long years.
I made this transparent PNG the night he died in preparation for one of the many ways I was going to memorialize him--a surface rug in his likeness that I planned on laying directly in the line of his favourite sunbeam. And I uploaded that PNG here, because this is the website where people post their cats.
I was not expecting the reception I got. Many people have pointed out that this post has more reblogs than likes, and how insane that is in 2025 when reblog culture is at an all time low. I didn't even talk about the fact that Burger passed away in the original post, it wasn't a tearjerker reblog bait or anything like that. People just loved Burger that much, in the same way I fell in love with him at first sight. He was such an ugly kitten.
Anyways, it's really special to me that so many people have reblogged my best friend. I made this PNG to memorialize him in a completely different way, and you all wound up doing just that in ways I never even imagined.
Thank you. Wherever he is, I know the sun is shining.

I gotta talk horses for a second.
So, as a result of a friend of me getting me into the horse girl game/anime (it's awesome, I both do and don't recommend it because gacha games are the devil but it's also fun so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), I've gotten interested in actual horse racing.
So for context, a maiden horse is a horse that hasn't won a race yet. Breaking your maiden means winning your first race. Most of the horses who end up in big graded races have usually won at least once before.
And then there's Ocelli.
He has never won a race. He got into the Kentucky Derby because one of the other horses had to drop out, and he came in third. By a nose. He came in 4th in the Preakness. He's only placed below 3rd three times. He's the highest earning maiden horse out there, he's making bank without having won.
I need to see this goober win. He's running at a big race on the 18th, the Haskell Stakes, and if he wins there's he automatically entered into the Breeder's Cup (a big deal). The day Ocelli breaks his maiden and wins is gonna be exciting no matter what, but if he does it in a G1 race...god, the excitement.
Also The Puma (who was my pick for the Derby but unfortunately scratched the day of) will be running in the Haskell. If either of them win, I'll be happy. I wouldn't be mad if Napoleon Solo (Preakness winner) won either (I don't have any money in play so it's no skin off my back).

Finally a hand sewing tutorial on a hemline that isn't just the ladder stitch! the ladder stitch disappears when you tighten it, but it's not meant for hemlines because it breaks really easily! The overlock stitch is more stable, so it holds much longer, and it won't pucker or warp the fabric!

yeah, the rest of the team is on the "you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet" side of things. They're going to avoid killing people if they can, but they keep meeting people who are actively trying to kill them. Which means that they can't always avoid using lethal force.
And Aang has very little room to talk. I mean, how many people did he kill in the season 1 finale when he went full koizilla? There were a fuckton of ships, and most of them were big ones.
the replacement of websites with apps sounds so backwards when you actually describe it. like hmm you have to download an entire program onto your device each time you want access to a portal, where it takes up storage indefinitely. somebody should invent an app where you can "browse" any portal just by typing in its address... 🥴
