Greetings friends! It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the 10th annual 2025 Carry On Countdown has come to an end.

We had an amazing time enjoying the spoils of this incredibly talented and devoted community, and we hope you all did too. We feasted on your fanart, your fanfiction, your AU's, your songs, your recipes, your fiber arts, your podfics, your audios and all your fanworks in between. Thank you to each and every person who partcipated in this event, those who encouraged and celebrated the art being shared, and of course thank you to the entire fandom for being the kind of warm, supportive, and creative community that can inspire all of this to happen every year.

But wait! Before you go, participants, PLEASE refer to our Official Rules Post and visit the Page of Honour section towards the bottom. If you tried your best to meet all of our requirements, please reach out to Raegan @carryonmybloodylovelies and apply for the Page of Honour! We want to acknowledge as many creators as we can. If you have any questions, feel free to message Raegan or send us an ask. If you've already reached out; thank you! New Page of Honour spots will be added ASAP. We'll let you know <3

Day 30 - Last Dance

I was gonna do more but I was trying to avoid going to the ER for stitches.

Which is actually kind of hilarious because Fandom Friendships™️ was what entirely saved me today while I was incredulously panicking and giggling in the kitchen.

BUT WE GOT IT DONE!! And I will give tax of my fucked up finger AND Carry On tattoo. Neither is gross or bloody, promise 🤣

At the corner of my eye, I saw my aunt and father in the shadows. Of course they'd collect me personally. I realized then that nothing would change even if I told Simon.

The next song the musicians played was a slower one. Noticing the look on my face, Simon brought me up to my feet and offered to lead the dance. He was shit at it, but I still savoured our moment together.

As our first and last dance came to a close, I brought his hand up to my lips and kissed it before disappearing into the night.

It's the "last dance" for the dolls. While our fic will continue for a few more days, my guys are bowing out!

It has been a pleasure to bring i do not regret you to life alongside @mooncello. This was our passion project for a whole year, and I am going to miss our plotting and dreaming more than I can say.

I take great comfort in the fact that our little world now lives on in you, dear reader. Anyone who has interacted with this fic or the art in any way will surely have fallen in love with this version of SnowBaz and Deniall and all the other characters that make up this amazing found family, so...

Thank you for dreaming with us. Thank you for rocking out to ICARUS and Mixed Metals. And, thank you most of all for saying yes to queer love and trans joy.

Day 30: Last dance

For last dance, I went with the suit jacket Simon wears to the Leavers Ball at the end of Carry On, a "rich velvet jacket—deep blue with black lapels."

This is made out of velour and poly satin from my local fabric store which has been wrapped around some chipboard covered in a thin layer of fleece to give it some softness around the edges.

BAZ I'm lying down on my side, facing Simon, on our bed. Well, it's a mattress placed directly on the floor, but it's our bed. We bought it together. I bought it with Simon. My boyfriend. He's mindlessly combing my hair out of my face, kissing my nose, my cheeks, my lips whenever he wants. His wing is resting lazily on my shoulder. It's so warm. My leg is over his hip. He keeps letting me. He's letting me stay. He's choosing me, and in return, I choose him right back. I always will, and I'm glad he's finally believing me when I tell him so. It's late in the night, and Snow's stomach is full, and he's happy because he spent all day with Bunce and Wellbelove—she came back for a couple of days, visiting Bunce. They had lunch, went shopping for furniture for us, bought a lamp, and a cover with an apple print. Snow and I are moving in together by ourselves. I was wary at first, afraid of making the same mistake as I thought I did after leaving Watford, but Snow didn't pull away from me this time. He's been active and responsive about moving.

It's the first fic I've finished in a while. I didn't think I'd be able to make it this far. I hadn't thought of the ending of this, but I'm so happy of how I ended it. It's short, but lovely.

And that's a wrap. Can't believe Carry On Countdown is already over. Seventh year participating and somehow only third time I actually completed all 30 prompts. Genuinely didn't think I'd make it this year but I'm really happy I did. Already looking forward to next year because it became a big part of my art journey :)
