hello guys it's been a while

here is my new grey kakuno, his name is tavy. like from man and superman, because all my nice pens are named after don giovanni (mozart) characters but all my cheap pens are named after adaptations or other versions of the myth. I recently lost my platinum little star, aminta (RIP), so i got him for $18 at some bookstore.

he is inked up in pilot black because that's the cartridge he was sold with. for some reason he doesn't come with a converter, so I have to shell out 8 more dollars for this guy, unless I do some forbidden pipette-refilling technique. that probably requires me to spend 8 dollars on pipettes anyway.

he writes okay I guess. the paper I've been using him with is not the best so the ink feathers a lot. I think he's a bit more inky/wet than my Lamys which isn't a bad thing.

i also got a new ink, it's a really lovely blue (iroshizuku tsuki-yo). I was using it with aminta but then I lost her, so I filled Zerlina with it. I used to think I didn't like blue ink, but I realized that I prefer a warmer blue rather than your typical bright ballpoint blue. my new bottle is 50ml so it'll last me quite a while. I think this is going to be my last purchase for a few months at least

you'll all be pleased to know that my last few months have been better. completely coincidentally, I have not been on tumblr during that time. I think this is a sort of chicken and egg situation
