As for my age, I'm old enough to drive and work internships but young enough to still be in the education system. Not giving away my birthday, but it's some time between 565 BCE and 2189 CE. How very unhelpful. Now, what the hell do I do?

Another one for Inuit artists is Piqsiq! Two sisters who’ve been doing traditional throat singing since they were kids. They make some really gorgeous, eerie, atmospheric stuff. Highly recommend watching this video of them performing live a cappella using a looping machine, because they might be the coolest people on the planet actually
For anyone into North Asian and Central Asian folk music, there's this incredible Siberian folk-pop band called Otyken! The group is mostly women and they're from multiple indigenous groups in Siberia, with songs being sung in their range of different languages. They're so much fun and their music videos are amazing!
i'll go ahead and recommend The Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red), an EDM group from First Nations Ontario that do really cool fusions of First Nations music with dubstep, moombahton, and hip hop.

Verdict: Vague, passive-aggressive, overall unhelpful. They were sort of correct in the overall direction of their “advice,” yet they communicated zero important information.
When you have a gimmick blog that comments the same thing on any post you interact with it also makes you look like a bot. It’s boring and therefore ignorable. I think it’s not a persuasive way to put forward a good position or raise awareness of an issue.
This idea has been brewing in my head for a long while. It depicts my home state Washington hanging onto a flagpole with the US flag on it to stay on a cliff.
I'm only an American (or more accurately a US-American, but I'll be using the term American for brevity) when it's inconvenient. The opposite of these flag-waving types who weaponize their nationalism but shrink into themselves the moment someone calls out their hypocrisy. Instead, I'm UnAmerican in most regards. I don't align myself with the country (I'm a Cascadian separatist) and I don't feel any sort of duty to it that can't already be felt toward the wider world. Yet people still say that I must be an American. I just live here. People here can drag me all they want for saying I'm not patriotic enough, and they do.
However, when I encounter sweeping generalizations about "US-Americans and their [insert denigrating remarks here]," I feel attacked. Because I know that the people making the generalizations mean that it's everyone in the country. They mean me too, even though I just live here. I am Cascadian, and I stand (or more accurately, sit at the time of posting) on occupied Coast Salish lands. Even though I'm a product of the settler colonial state, I'm not automatically supportive of it. Yet the category of American tends to shift toward whatever screws people like me over the most.
Please don't call me American. I live in the US, sure, but I am not American in the same way as others in the country.
I know I should be working to fix this problem, yet I don't. Don't worry, this isn't going to be anything too serious. I haven't seen anyone personify my home state Washington on this site except me. My state is an afterthought at best. And I should be drawing Washington, I know. But I'm not very confident in my drawing skills yet, seeing as I'm pretty new and all my stuff looks like it came out of MS Paint. I'm just going to sit here and wish I could find my state represented.
