This is inspired and based by the few drawings Shirahama (Creator of WHA) made of mangaka/modern au Olruggio! Plus the videos of husbands seeing their wives in the wedding dress years after. Sorry for any grammar mistakes!

Memorable Wedding

You can still recollect being thrilled when you found your wedding dress. Yet, nothing could compare to the day of your wedding. Olruggio fixated on you like you were the most magnificent being in the entire world. His eyes glistened as his gaze never left your figure, not for a mere second. It was as if you enchanted him. Nearly flubbing over his own vows and grabbing the ring to put on you. 

The years would pass into your marriage. The decision to have an additional member be a part of your life came into your mind. That's when your adoring and lovely daughter, Tetia, entered your world. 

In that moment, both of your lives became brighter. 

Whenever Olruggio was stressed or burnt out from overworking on his manga, Tetia’s laughter filling the room would make a faint smile appear on his face. Nevertheless, there were moments when Tetia made chaotic decisions, as any child would, that made your heart drop. Despite it all, you and Olruggio never regretted having her. 

It felt like it was just yesterday Tetia was waddling and babbling around. Precious time slipping by quickly, as she is now twelve years old. You’ve been happily married to your dear husband, Olruggio, for nearly two decades.

Your beautiful girl was growing up, slowly leaving the nest, but not completely yet. She still had her youthful hyperness and silliness, whereas the feeling of fear still resided in you. Wishing you could freeze time, like a picture, never aging, never leaving. 

Olruggio would notice the hint of sadness in your eyes whenever Tetia grabbed her backpack, eagerly going to school. “Hon, she’s ain't leaving anytime soon, you know?” He would place a kiss on your temple and rub your back to comfort you.

More thoughts of Tetia growing up would stream into your head, “She grew up so quickly. What's to say that she won't be soon?”

He can’t deny that fact. Time seemingly passes by quickly, yet even when you realize it, it doesn’t stop. Regardless, that's the painful truth about how life is.

As days passed, it would be an early Saturday evening. Olruggio would be running errands, buying groceries, ink, manga paper, and such more. You were spending time with Tetia in the living room.

She was rambling so cheerfully about her friends, school, and many other things at once. You listen attentively as you watch her move around the room, acting out some of the stuff. 

Suddenly, she asked, “Mama, what was your and Dad’s wedding like?” 

You were caught off guard. She’s asked how you’ve met, but never about your wedding. “Well, it was the happiest moment of our lives-”

Tetia interrupted you, “Huh?! Even me?” She looked like a kicked puppy when she asked that.

You chuckled as you shook your head and patted her head, “Well, maybe,” you said teasingly.

Tetia threw herself on the couch and started pounding her arms against it, playfully making a fake tantrum. 

You laughed as you watched, “I have some pictures I can show you if you want to look.”

Immediately, Tetia sat up and looked at you with bright, beaming eyes. “Let me see! I want to see them, please!" 

Walking to your shared room with Olruggio, you went into a drawer. Searching for the photograph album that contained numerous pictures. Once you found it, you walked back and sat down next to Tetia. 

Instantly, Tetia grabbed the album from your hands and opened it to the first page. It was a photo of the guests and the venue. Many of the guests were your dearest friends, such as Alaria and Qifrey. She continued flipping through the pages up til she finally landed on the photo of you standing in your dress and bridal bouquet at the end of the aisle. You looked nothing but ethereal. 

Tetia would pause as she looked at it, “You look like a princess with that dress.”

A small, warm laugh escaped from you. “I believe your dad would say the same thing.” You flipped to another page that showed Olruggio staring at you. “Here, see?” 

She brought the album closer to her face, intensely examining it. “There’s no way that's him. Dad never dresses that well.” Her face was puzzled, as if it was hard to comprehend what she was witnessing.

You attempted to hide your laughter but miserably failed. “Actually, I have one more thing as well. Stay here, it will only take a few minutes.”

Tetia nodded her head, excited to see more things from your wedding. 

Swiftly making your way to the shared room once again. However, this time you went into your walk-in closet and searched for a decently sized box. Finally, you found it and placed it onto your shared bed.

Carefully, you open it and gently take out the dress, afraid it may have been damaged. You were planning on only showing the dress. However, when you place it over yourself in the mirror, nostalgia strikes you. In turn, your mind debated itself until you ultimately decided to put it on. 

Surprisingly, even after years, it still fits comfortably. You emplaced the accessories that were also in the box. You felt a bit of nervousness as you hesitantly walked back out into the living room. 

Hearing your footsteps, Tetia looked up, gasping as she lit up. She ran up to you and started examining you from almost every angle. You found it adorable to see your daughter like this. Her pink pigtails went upwards, a unique habit of hers whenever she was extremely overjoyed.

She was jumping around, “Mama, you look so beautiful!”

You giggled at her kind words. “You're so swee-” 

The sound of the front door clicking open and closed was heard. Signifying Olruggio had returned, “I’m back-”

Olruggio’s breath hitched as his eyes landed upon you. Tetia scurried to hide behind the couch as she peeked her head out. 

Abruptly, the bags in his hands harshly landed on the floor. Despite that, Olruggio's eyes did not budge. Butterflies stirred inside your stomach as Olruggio walked closer to you. Until eventually, he stood in front of you, taking your hands within his. It felt as if you went back in time through all those years, to the day of your wedding once again.

After what felt like an eternity of silence, Olruggio found his voice. “Even after all these years with you, I can never seem to stop myself from falling in love with you.” His finger brushes against your wedding ring. “Seeing you in this once again makes me glad I made the decision to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Your eyes began to well up with tears. As one escaped, you felt his hand against your cheek and gently wiped it away. You could see Olruggio finally start to crumble as his eyes became glossier.

It was rare to see him like this, “Olly, you're going to make me cry more if you do.”

That's when Tetia’s voice cut through, “You may now kiss!”

You and Olruggio turn your heads at her for a moment. She looked like she was beaming with every ounce of joy, rays of light emitting from her. To her, it appeared as one of the many movies and stories she's seen. 

Returning to look back at each other, your smiles mirroring. Soon, the gap between you slowly closed. Allowing your lips to press against one another, sealing your affection once again.

A brief white flash and the sound of a ‘click’ would cause you to separate. Snapping your heads in that direction. There, your Tetia was showing her white pearly teeth as she held your phone. 

Shortly after, she started running away as soon as she saw her dad come towards her. “Oi! Yah little- Get back 'ere!” He shouted as he started to chase her around the living room. 

You laughed as you watched them chase each other, ending when Olruggio finally caught her. Soon, calmness would overtake the atmosphere as Tetia continued to ask questions about your wedding, proposal, and much more that the innocent mind of a child would have. She even tried to dance around with you. Although she ended up almost tripping herself and you in the process. 

Meanwhile, what you didn’t notice was that Oruggio would be sneakily taking photos of these moments on his phone.

Small bonus:

Two days would pass since then. It was a peaceful Monday, and Tetia was already at school. This meant the house belonged to only you and Olruggio. 

You may think that, in turn, meant you were free to spend time with each other. Unfortunately, that sadly would be wrong, as most of the time he would be in his studio to continue his manga. 

Today you made some simple pudding. You grabbed a plate for him. As you placed a decent portion, you added a bit more to his plate since you knew it was his favorite dessert. In addition, you noticed he hasn't come out of his studio after many hours.

You walked over to his door and knocked, “Olly, I made some pudding for you. ”

Waiting for a response, yet nothing but silence was heard from the other side. You knocked again, only to be met with more silence.

You cautiously opened the door. There you see Olruggio's back facing you. 

As you get closer, you see he is deeply asleep. Beneath his arms, where he rests his head, on the desk appears to be a page he's inking. It was a drawing of you in your wedding dress with Tetia smiling.

A warm feeling washes over you as you continue to stare at it. Taking you a moment to snap out of it. Once you did, you gently called out Olruggio's name while rubbing his back. 

Begrudgingly, he woke up, lifting his head from his arms, facing you. It took him a few seconds before he went wide-eyed, looking like a deer being caught, remembering what he was drawing earlier. Randomly grabbing nearby completed manga pages, slamming them on top of the drawing. 

A bead of sweat appeared on his face. Nervousness written all over him, “Hon, what'r yah doing 'ere? I was busy workin-”

A smug smile appeared on your face, “I already saw it. Can I ask why?”

You watched as his face reddened.

Choking on his own words for a moment, “Oi! I was just trying out a new technique! I need to practice on a non-manga page so I can start-” 

All the while, you laughed at his poor attempt at an excuse.

Deathly Kiss

Being in a romantic relationship with Qifrey was lovely and enlightening to your life, especially with the addition of the four girls. However, embarrassingly enough to admit, it was your first ever relationship in your entire life.  

Qifrey would always keep that embedded within him. Thus, taking your relationship ‘slower’ than most, or that's what it seemed to most others who observed them. 

With that as well, another embarrassing admission would be that you’ve both never had your first kiss together. Not even the slightest kiss on the cheek. Despite living together in the atelier for a fair amount of time. 

It never even came into thought for the both of you. 

Until, someone mentioned it casually. That someone being Olruggio.

It would be a quiet and peaceful night. Just the three adults of the atelier spending time together and leisuring after an exhausting week. A wine bottle would be open on the table, yet only two glass cups contained wine, while one had water.

You sat beside Qifrey while Olruggio sat across from you both.

Olruggio, with a bit of the wine finally hitting his system, said, “Remind me why (Name) can’t have wine again? Surely it couldn’t have been that bad.”

Qifrey would let a sigh escape him, recalling what happened when you drank only one glass of wine. “(Name) got heavily intoxicated and struck an excruciating, painful kick to my chin.” 

Simultaneously, guilt and humiliation hit you. The reason you kicked him was that your drunken mind thought he was going to kiss you. Your mind immediately started to panic as heat engulfed you. Hastily, with your fogged mindset, you decided the appropriate response was to kick him.

In truth, he was trying to just help you from stumbling and possibly tripping from it.

You drank your water while looking down, ‘What a shame, I really need to control myself.’

A chuckle escaped from Olruggio, thinking Qifrey was exaggerating it.

With a hint of amusement, Olruggio teasingly spoke, “Yah know, even with all this time together. I’ve never seen yah both kiss, not even the slightest. Most normal couples would have since the few beginning dates.”

You felt your body tense when hearing that, your mind frantically streaming with ‘normal’ things couples would do that you haven’t done yet. 

Qifrey would calmly speak, “Well, we-”

Beginning to panic, not wanting to seem ‘abnormal’, you cut Qifrey off. “We are a very normal couple! See, we’ll show you!”

You would turn and lean your body towards Qifrey. You could see Qifrey was surprised and taken aback. Despite it, he began to mirror your actions. He would be lying if he didn’t confess that deep down he's been wanting to finally kiss you.

It was as if time slowed down, but your mind was racing with thoughts in milliseconds. ‘What am I supposed to expect!? Wait, I think I overheard someone say it tasted like sweets?! Ugh! Get a hold of yourself!’

Abruptly, you quickly pull away before your lips make contact, “W-wait a minute!” 

You knew you couldn’t do it sober. In turn, you grabbed the wine bottle and drank straight from it, almost emptying it.

Qifrey and Olruggio's eyes widened, their mouths agape, and a bead of sweat appeared on both of their faces. Pure shock was written on their faces. 

Soon, Qifrey found his voice, whispering to you, “Dearest, we don’t have to if you're not comfortable.”

The effect of the alcohol instantly took control over you. You pushed Qifrey down, making him lie down on the couch-like seat. Soon after, you started to climb on top of him, placing one hand on his chest.

Drunkenly slurring out, “Close your eyes for me, love.”

Hesitantly, and very flusteredly, Qifrey complied. Slowly, you began to close the gap once again between you. 

Only a few inches would it be before your nervousness took over again, ‘Ah, I knew it.’

You pull back again, still on top of him, and start turning your upper body, adding more momentum, and swing your left arm. You screech, “I just can’t!”

Miraculously, Qifrey was able to move his head away from your attack. He swears that he felt your hand only a few centimeters away. 

In turn, you struck the table, sending it flying towards Olruggio. Not having enough time to even react, the table did in fact hit him, harshly. But even so, the table toppled over him, continuing to flip and roll across the room. As quickly as it happened, the table crashed into the wall, snapping into pieces. The wine bottle and glass cups shattered along with it.

Nothing but a deathly silence filled the room. Your hand was red, burning, and stinging from the impact. Qifrey was wondering how he was still alive. Olruggio was in pain, his nose lightly bleeding, and had several scratches on his face.

The next morning, the girls would come down for breakfast. However, they noticed that the table was gone. 

Curiously, Tetia asked, “Uh, Master Qifrey, what happened to the table?”

Qifrey would stiffen before recollecting himself, “It seems one of the legs had broken off. We’ll get a new one shortly. For now, I will have to trouble you all to eat carefully with your lap.”

The girls noticed the bead of sweat on Qifrey’s face. How Olruggio had bandages on his face and eyes filled with fear. Lastly, (Name) looked down at the floor with a shaming red spreading across her face. Nevertheless, they decided not to speak on it any further. 

From that day on, Olruggio understood that Qifrey wasn't exaggerating. Completely understanding why you aren't allowed to drink any alcoholic beverage.

A few days would pass since that incident. Currently, you would be spending a night in Kalhn with some of your coworker friends. You had given them a helping hand with finishing writing their reports for the Great Hall.

Unfortunately, once again, you were heavily intoxicated from one glass of wine. You were very loud, all social awareness for others had gone out the window. 

The topic was about everyone's love life, mainly venting about some of their gripes. Then the tables would turn, as they began to lightly tease you, making comments on your ‘perfect relationship’. 

“I bet once you get home you will start making out with him.” One friend states.

Another friend would add on, “Aww! Welcome home kisses are sweet!”

After that, the other would join, “Then they’ll take a bath together.”

You quickly spout in defense, “We most certainly will not! We would never!” You were now mostly pinkish-red, not because of the alcohol, but for being very flustered from the intimate things they were suggesting.

Laughter would come out from them, “All that aside, welcome home kisses are normal.”

The others would agree, “No matter what happens, even with the smallest or biggest gripes, you can at least do that.”

One would smile and nod, “Mhm! Every night and every morning!”

“Everyone does it. It's what every normal couple does.”

After that last comment, you fell defeatedly onto the floor. Murmuring, “Welcome home kisses are normal?”

You would walk back to the atelier alone, lost in the thoughts filling the quiet night's void. So much so, you would arrive home without even noticing. You open the door, the sound of a click being heard when closed. 

Taking only a few steps into the atelier, Qifrey would appear in front of you. “Welcome home, dear. How wonderful did your night go?”

You tried to speak, but it felt like there was a lump in your throat that was stopping you.

Mind repeating with a constant sentence. ‘Welcome home kiss…. Welcome home kiss. Welcome home kiss! WELCOME HOME KISS!!’ 

Your body felt like a kettle boiling quickly. Until the feeling of it was all too much to bear, making you ‘explode’. This made you lose your sense of balance, causing you to fall backwards.

Qifrey would react instantly, catching you with one of his arms on your back. “Oh my, it seems you're still quite tipsy. No worries, I’ve got you.” He brings you closer to him as he says that, trying to support you better.

That action would cause a scream to escape from you, ‘He’s going to kiss me!’

For a second time, your body began to heat like a kettle, only quicker this time. Your mind, heart, and body would fight against each other, all trying to figure out what to do. Restraining your hand, not wanting to hurt and possibly accidentally successfully kill him this time. ‘Resist!! You must resist!!’ 

Squeals escaping you, “Kiss ahh!” 

Finally, it all toppled over, your body would somehow launch itself backwards, crashing brutally onto the floor.

It would take a moment for Qifrey to be able to comprehend what he just witnessed. “(Name)! Are you alright?! What happened to make you this drunk?!”

He urgently kneels to you as you begin to cry and stutter out apologies. However, your mind would keep betraying you, making you scream and squeal multiple times.

Qifrey would spend the night trying to calm you down and lay you to rest.

Caught in the act

Qifrey:

Every day, you and Qifrey were busy with your schedule, especially when it came to the girls. You adored and cherished them, but they made it difficult for you and Qifrey to have some time to yourselves.

The few times you thought you finally got a moment alone with one another, it was always interrupted by one of them. It was like they had a sixth sense that told them exactly when you two tried to have a moment together.

“Master Qifrey!”

“Miss (Name)!”

“The spell knocked over the table!”

“Can we go to Kalhn?”

“I wish to go and practice outside.”

“Is dinner going to be ready soon?”

Some days would be so hectic that you would collapse straight onto bed after the day was finally dealt with. 

However, today was different. Rain would be pouring down outside all day. Due to this, most of the teaching activities would be toned down to avoid causing any damage to the atelier. As the sky darkened, thunder would begin to rumble into the night loudly.

Eventually, the girls would head to one of their rooms. They wanted to sleep together in case one of them couldn’t sleep through the thunder.

The kitchen had fallen into a calm quiet while you and Qifrey were in there. He was reorganizing the pantry while you placed the last clean plates into the cabinet. Suddenly, you felt a pair of arms gently wrap around your waist. 

Qifrey rested his head on your shoulder and pressed a kiss to your temple. “It’s nice to have you to myself for once.” 

You smile in defeat, turning around to face him, “You just can’t wait, can you?” 

Qifrey would start to place kisses on your neck before capturing your lips with a kiss that was filled with desperation, “Most certainly not.” He murmured against your lips, “Not when it comes to you, that is.”

You wrapped your arms around his neck as he gently pressed you against the counter. The two of you continued to kiss each other, each more passionately than the last. It’s been far too long since either of you had a moment like this.

Eventually, you had to pull away to catch your breath. “I think it’s best we go somewhere more private, no?” You manage to utter through your gasping.

Qifrey had a certain linger in his eyes, one you knew very well. "Certainly," he said with a smile. 

The moment the door to your shared bedroom closed shut and locked, Qifrey wasn’t able to contain himself. 

Your mind was blank as the room was filled with the sound of wet skin against each other, shameless moans and grunts, and the bed creaking echoing. The world narrowed around you two, solely focusing on each other. Qifrey’s hands explored your body as you lay beneath him, as his hips continuously thrust into you. 

His gaze never left yours as he held you close. “So perfect,” he murmured, “Taking me so well.”

You couldn’t form a coherent sentence as you felt yourself reaching your climax. Your knuckles turned white from your harsh grasp on the bedsheet to stop you from sliding up due to Qifrey’s thrusts. 

He felt your inner walls clench around him, “Just like that.” 

Qifrey would lay kisses on your neck and shoulder, before taking your lips into his. 

Exactly as you both nearly reached bliss, you heard a rustle, “Pwee?”

You and Qifrey froze, your breaths halted. Head snapped to where the sound came from, you see, it's the little brushbuddy. It looked horrid upon what was just witnessed. 

Just a moment then, multiple footsteps could be heard approaching down the hall. Shortly, a knock on the door would be heard, “Master Qifrey? Miss (Name)?” 

Causing both of you to hurriedly scramble off each other to find your nightly attire. 

They just wanted the brushbuddy back in their room. After asking if they heard anything but the storm, they all answered no with confusion on their faces. You made a brief excuse that you accidentally knocked over stacks of books, feeling guilty that you thought you woke them up. 

Once they left, relief washed over you and Qifrey. Thankfully, they didn’t hear anything due to the loud storm. It’s the last thing you two would want the girls to see or even hear.

Sadly, the same couldn’t be said about the poor brushbuddy. 

The next day, you would be the one to awaken first. Changing into your attire to begin the day, you would lean down to press a small tender kiss on Qifrey's forehead before departing. As you proceeded on your way to the kitchen, you heard the noises of squeaks.

You arrived in the living room. To your surprise, Olruggio was lying on the couch. A rarity to see, due to him always being cooped in his chamber. There on his chest was the precious brushbuddy. 

Yet, the brushbuddy was standing and waving his little paws in the air. While simultaneously letting out angry squeaking continuously. 

Olruggio would watch, nodding along even when he didn’t understand, “Hm. You don’t say?” 

Olruggio:

Olruggio always had his packed schedule filled, making it rare for him to have any free time. That involved time being spent with you. He was always busy with completing commissions, creating new inventions, and reporting back as the watchful eye of this atelier. 

You’ve known this before you got into a relationship with him. But it still aches your heart every time.

The atelier had fallen into a calming silence. You tidied up the scattered books and paper from the lessons taught to the four girls. Qifrey had taken the girls with him. To where exactly? You didn’t know specifically. 

The front door would click open and close. You turn to see Olruggio standing there with the same restless face. 

You moved quickly on your foot to reach him, pressing a gentle kiss on his lips. “Welcome home.”

“Where are the others?” Olruggio would rest his hands on your hips. 

You smiled at the touch. It seemed like an eternity since you’d last felt his warmth against you. “Qifrey took the girls with him. They’ve been gone for around two hours, I’d say.”

“Yah don't say?” He said as his hands traveled behind the curve of your rear. “I’d say we should make up for the lost time, no?”

That was the final thing you could recollect. 

Your shared room echoed with your moans and cries of pleasure. Your hand placed over your mouth in a weak attempt to muffle yourself. 

Olruggio raised his head from between your thighs, “Don’t go getting all shy on me now.” He removed your hand from your mouth. “It’s been far too long since I’ve heard yer pretty moans.”

He would return to pleasuring you with his tongue. Continuing, making you cum at least three additional times with his mouth alone. The tracking of time was long lost before then. 

You heard Olruggio begin to disrobe himself, his garments scattering on the floor alongside yours that had been there since you entered the room. You felt him begin entering your aching walls.

His movements promptly increased with hunger and lust. Your poor cervix begging from his thrusts, “Damn.” He murdered, “I’ve missed you so much.” 

In that moment, both of you were lost in the feeling of pure paradise bliss, forgetting the outside world's existence. 

Until, unfortunately, an abrupt yet stern cough was heard, causing you both to freeze immediately. 

Hesitantly, Olruggio raised his head, peeking over the hammock. There stood Qifery by the door, his arms crossed and a disgruntled look upon his face.  

A bead of sweat appeared on Olruggio, “Uh…need something, Qifrey?” A hint of awkwardness in his voice. 

“What you both do is none of my business.” Qifrey states in a serious tone, “However, I would not like for my apprentices to possibly hear such things. Or worse, stumbling upon it.” 

Guilt swallowed you more quickly than embarrassment. You grabbed the nearest blanket, covering yourself before sitting up quickly. “Oh my goodness, we're so sorry! Did-”

Qifrey interrupted, “They’re not here as we speak. Thankfully, they’re with Alaira.”

You and Olruggio let out a sigh of relief escape you, he continued. “I used the windowway to grab something quickly. That's when I was able to hear your activities quite clearly.” 

Qifrey would turn to exit the room, “I suggest next time you close the door and cast a spell to cancel out the noise for precaution.” With that, he shut the door.

The room had fallen into a deathly silence, neither of you said anything or moved. The tension in the atmosphere was so dense you could hear a pin drop.

Eventually, Olruggio opened his mouth to speak, but you struck him on the head before he had the chance to, “You didn’t close the door!?” 

Olruggio rubbed the back of his head, “Oi!? I thought I did alright!?” He tried to defend himself, knowing it was a bad habit he had made. 

Safe to say, you didn’t continue where you left off, embarrassment engulfing you both for the entirety of the day.

As days passed since the incident, Olruggio would take Qifrey’s word of advice, attempting to create a spell that would trap the noises of your activities.

Stepping up

At a young age, you were raised by your Granda, Nolnoa. Under his guidance, you learned magic casting, passed your first test, and created components such as various dyes, inks, and powders. As you grew near adulthood, your beloved younger brother, Tartah, came into your life and joined you and Granda. 

You still remember the first time you held him in your arms. Wrapped in a small, tight blanket, he seemed so calm and peaceful. But then you noticed his eyes, they were silver. 

Realization struck you, he had Silverwash Syndrome. 

A deep sadness rose within you. In that moment, you dedicated yourself to helping raise and support Tartah as much as you could. 

However, due to that, you never fully completed the five tests required to qualify you as a witch. 

Granda often told you, “You needn't worry”, insisting on leaving it to him to raise Tartah. But you could never bring yourself to allow that. You adored Tartah. You fed him, cleaned him, patched his wounds, and cared for him in countless other ways. 

Before you realized it, you had stepped into a motherly role for him.

Yet, as much as you wanted to protect him, you knew you couldn’t do so forever. It broke your heart every time you saw Tartah coming home upset. His silver-washed eyes led to other witches telling him that he couldn’t be a witch, to solely focus on creating pens. Whenever these moments happened, you would comfort him, offering him encouragement. 

You especially remembered one specific day, when he returned home and shut himself in his room, refusing to come out or let anyone in. Through the door, you heard his cries of frustration, as all you could do was stand there, helplessly, as he isolated himself. In that very moment, you made the decision to finish your studies and become a full-fledged witch.

This would allow you not only to teach but to find a spell that could help Tartah’s silverwash eyes, or at the very least his spirit of hoping. 

With that, you said your byes to Granda and Tartah, departing Kalhn, traveling to the Great Hall to continue your studies and broaden your horizon of knowledge under another witch’s atelier. 

While you were away, you sent letters back home whenever you could. Every time one arrived, Tartah quickly wrote one back and impatiently waited for your reply every time. Granda often laughed, seeing how greatly he missed you, despite the fact that he constantly says he didn’t.

The years passed, and by the time you reached your late twenties, you finally passed your final test. Now officially becoming a witch.

You missed your home, the shop, and Granda, but most importantly, Tartah. Now, after years, you were finally able to return home. 

You traveled through the nearest windowway and used the levitation spell on the bottom of your shoes to fly the rest of the way. When you arrived at the front door, you knocked and stepped inside. “Granda! Tartah! I’m home!”

No sooner had you closed the door than the sound of hurried footsteps rushed down the stairs. A moment later, Tartah threw his arms around you and hugged you tightly. “You're finally back.”

You simply stood there, placing a hand on the top of his head while the other rubbed his back gently. You notice how much he’s grown since the last time you saw him. When you left that day, he was but a wee child, now he was twelve years old. 

For a long time, neither of you said anything, holding each other in peaceful silence. Eventually, you both went to see Granda. For the first time, you were reunited as a family once again. You ate together, spoke about what happened while away, and even showed some of the spells you created.

As days passed, you helped around the shop. Fortunately, you remembered most of the components and how they are made. Making it easy to settle back into your old routine. But that said, once the shop was closed and you retired to your room at night, you would dedicate your time to finding what could bring you closer to achieving the goal that made you become a witch in the first place. 

Books, notes, and old research would be sprawled out on your desk and floor. But it didn’t matter if it meant finding a way to help Tartah.

Today, the shop was closed, you were on the second floor crushing herbs, while simultaneously reading through a research book. You waited for Tartah to return from running his errands. That's when you heard the sound of the door being ‘reconstructed’, signifying his return, as he only had the doorknob. 

You started walking down the stairs, “Tartah were able to get th-”, your words stopped in your throat. 

You froze in the middle of the stairs, and at the bottom, you saw two unrecognized figures. It was a white-haired man with a small blondish-green-haired girl. 

“Oh (Name),” Tartah said. “They're here to see Granda.”

For a moment, you were silent, only staring. A wave of embarrassment grew within you. Since you hadn't expected visitors, you were dressed in your comfortable house clothes. Worse, the man was no less seen as handsome in your eyes as you both stared into each other's eyes.

You manage to regain your composure, “O-Oh right.” You gave a polite smile, carefully hiding your inner panicking, “Granda’s on the third floor. I’ll show you the way.”

Turning around, you head back up the stairs with the white-haired man following you. As you made your way to the Silverwood tree towards the next set of stairs, you couldn’t help but feel his gaze on you. 

You diverted your eyes from him, thinking he was judging you. Streams of thought would only make your embarrassment worse. Neither of you took the initiative to break the silence. Only the sound of your footsteps filled the air.

After what felt like eternity, you reached the third floor. “Granda, this man is here to see you.”

Without turning around in his floating chair, Granda spoke, “Why, Qifrey. Don’t ya know we’re closed today?”

The man, Qifrey, would answer in a serious tone, “Yes. Apologies.” 

Your Grandda would turn around with a grin, “Only teasin’.” He would then shift his gaze between you and Qifrey. “Ah, I see ya met me, Granddaughter (Name).”

With those words, Qifrey looked at you once again. A gentle smile appeared on his face as he spoke to you with a gentle voice, “Please forgive me for the sudden visit. It wasn't my intent to cause you any discomfort.”

It surprised you, catching you off guard. But you hurriedly raise your hands, “No, it’s completely fine. I’ll take my leave now.” With that, you went back down the stairs. You felt his eyes linger on you once again as you descended. 

Rather than going straight to the first floor, you decided to stay on the second floor to clean up the mess you left earlier. The work desk had crushed herbs, puddles from the juices, and the tools were stained.

Letting a sigh escape as you began to clean the mess. As you did so, you could faintly hear a different conversation between your Granda and Qifrey. Their voices were filled with a serious and cautious tone. But you couldn’t exactly hear what they spoke.

Qifrey stood near the rail as his eyes lingered carefully on you through the small gaps between the branches of the Silverwood tree that allowed him to see you on the second floor.

Suddenly, Mr. Nolnoa spoke, "Don't think I’ll give yah me blessing so easily just cause I’m her Granda.”

That made Qifrey head snap immediately towards him, “No, no, that's not my intention at all, Mr. Nolnoa.” A bead of sweat would appear on his face.

Mr. Nolnoa let out a laugh, “Don’t think I didn't notice you lookin’ at her.” He would sigh and look down at you before continuing, “She recently returned home after years. Completing her duties to become a witch.” 

Another sigh would escape him as his expression would soften, “I think Tartah would be less willing. As he was raised by her, practically becoming a mother to the lad.”

Qifrey’s attention was fully taken as he listened carefully to how Mr. Nolnoa fondly spoke about you.

Mr. Nolnoa would then turn back to the tile on his desk, “Now then, let's get back to what ya came here for. You’re wondering about the Casting Seal on those paving tiles, aren’t you?”

Once you were satisfied with your cleaning, you headed downstairs to begin cooking dinner. You also wanted to make a little treat for the children. 

You turned the corner, and you saw Tartah carefully wrapping bandages on the young girl’s leg. 

You smiled as you waved at the girl. “What a cute little witch you are. I’m sure you’ll become a wonderful witch when you're older.” 

Immediately, the girl had stars around her, radiating with happiness, “Y-you really think so?! Thank you so much!!” She then became a little flustered, “Oh! Right. My name is Coco, Miss.” 

You giggled. “It’s nice to meet you, Coco.” You walked past Tartah. “I’ll begin dinner and make you two treats. How does that sound?” 

Tartah nodded as Coco's smile somehow grew wider. With that, you open the door to the kitchen and leave it open. There, you began preparing honeytree tarts topped with berries.

Just as you finished, a sudden bright flash engulfed the kitchen entirely, blinding you completely. Instinctively, you used your arms to block your eyes. At the same time, you heard the sound of glass and wood tumbling down and the sound of Coco yelping. 

Then just as quickly as it appeared, it vanished. 

You hurriedly ran back to where the ink dyes were. Thankfully, none of the jars broke, but they were scattered everywhere, including the labels…. 

“Tartah!? Coco!? Are you alright!?” You quickly dropped to your knees, helping them regain their footing. 

“Thank you,” Coco murmured, guilt in her eyes.

You carefully examined Tartah and Coco for any injury. Fortunately, they weren't hurt, and you let a relieved sigh escape you. “Thank goodness”

You looked between them. “I’ll go check up on Mr. Qifrey and Granda. I’ll be back quickly, alright?” You said as you hurriedly headed upstairs to the second floor.

You called out to the third floor, “Granda! Mr. Qifrey! Are you alright!?”

From above, you heard Granda’s voice shout back, “Yes, we’re fine, lassie.”

Relief swept over you, but something still felt...off. Briefly hesitating, you turned back downstairs. 

As you turned the corner, you heard Tartah shout in frustration. “I can’t tell the colors apart!”

Your eyes widened, and you quickly made your way to the children. There, Coco held two jars as Tartah looked away from her. 

Slowly stepping forward, you took the jars gently from Coco’s hands and placed them down somewhere nearby. You knelt in front of her, placing yourself between her and Tartah. “Coco,” You said with calm and gentleness, “How about we go outside, yes? You needn’t worry about this mess. I’ll take care of it.” 

You stood up and gently led Coco towards the front door. Once outside, you carefully picked her up and placed her on the low brick wall. 

“Coco, please stay here.” You said calmly but with some firmness. “I’m sure Mr. Qifrey will be outside shortly.” 

Coco looked at you with a saddened and worried expression. 

You let a low sigh escape you. "The reason Tartah got upset is because he has Silverwash Syndrome. You didn’t do anything wrong for wanting to help him.”

You pulled her into a gentle hug, and her smaller arms immediately wrapped around you. She was trembling a bit as her eyes became watery and blurred. You held her, wiping the few tears that escaped with your thumbs. It went like this for a few minutes until she fully calmed down. 

You pulled back from the embrace with a reassuring smile. “I’ll bring out some of those tarts I made, alright? No need to be sad now.”

Coco nodded as she slowly let go. You went back inside, and you saw Tartah still standing there looking down at the jars. You felt a painful ache striking you. You walked closer to him and opened your arms. Tartah immediately wrapped his arms around you, and you gently patted his head as the other held him. 

After a short while, he lets go. You then go into the kitchen and get seven small boxes to put each tart in. While you were finishing up, you heard the front door click open and close. You quickly put the box in a paper bag and ran outside. You see Qifrey walking away while carrying Coco perched on one of his arms. 

Before they could go far, you spoke, “Wait! Mr. Qifrey!”

Qifrey stopped in his tracks and turned around to face you. You held the paper bag. “These are for Coco. They’re tarts. Of course, you can have some as well.”

Qifrey’s eyes widened in slight surprise. “I appreciate it, I wasn’t expecting any gifts today. Oh, and no need for the formality, just Qifrey would suffice." 

Coco reached for the bag eagerly. “Thank you so much again, Miss!”

You smiled and waved as you saw their figures fade away. Once they were a good distance away, you returned inside, shutting the door behind you. Tartah is at your side as you both walk back to the dye room. 

You both see Granda kneeling down and picking up the jars. You quickly helped Granda, picking up the jars and matching the labels you already knew belonged to which. 

Tartah apologized to Granda as he picked up a stool and placed it near you. “Was that light caused by a spell or something? One of Mr. Qifrey’s?”

Your Grandda would stand up, “What, now? A light?” he turned to face you and Tartah, “I don’t recall any such thing.”

You and Tarta froze, your mouths slightly parting in shock, worry worn on your faces. “Grandda?” you both said at the same time.

The afternoon would continue like normal, as if nothing had happened. However, you and Tartah shared a similar tension. 

The next day, the shop was open, and Granda was talking to a customer on the second floor. Meanwhile, you and Tartah were on the third floor speaking in hushed voices, “You saw the light too, no? I’m not going crazy, am I?”

You shook your head as you continued to look around Granda’s desk. “No, I definitely saw it. I even went upstairs to check up on him, he told me he was fine.”

Tartah nodded, remembering your shouting while he was downstairs. Your brows furrowed together, not being able to come up with answers or even a clue of explanation.

Then Tartah spoke, “There’s no way Granda could’ve missed it. Perhaps Mr. Qifrey knows the real reason Granda forgot….” 

You nodded as you placed a tool back onto the desk. Then Tartah finished his thoughts, “Or perhaps he is the reason.” 

That caused your eyes to widen and snap your head at Tartah, “What…?”

“He was the only one up here with Granda, no?” 

You were silent as you lowered your gaze. You know he’s right.

A few more days would pass. Currently, you are waiting for Tartah to return home for dinner. You worried as he normally would be back by now. The food on his plate slowly became cold. You look up, “Granda, do you think Tartah is alright?” 

Granda would look up from his plate with a smile, “Don’t fret, lassie. I’m sure he’ll be back any minute now.” You nod at his reassurance.

But then minutes turn into an hour, then an hour into several. As the sky became darker, Granda also began to worry. You stayed awake late into the night, stressing and worrying about Tartah’s whereabouts. 

Morning arrived, and you and Granda went on the ferry. There on the dock, you saw three figures standing. As you got closer, you realized it was Qifrey, Coco, and Tartah. You impatiently decided to leap onto the dock before waiting for the ferry to fully come to a stop, almost tipping the ferry in the process. 

Granda shouted from the ferry, “Oi Lassie!”

But it didn’t matter to you as you hugged Tartah tightly. Relief washes over you. But shortly after, you pulled back and angrily scolded him, “Where have you been all night!? Do you have any idea how worried I was!?” 

Tartah looked at you before looking down, murmuring, “Sorry,(Name). Sorry, Granda.” You sigh as all that anger goes away quickly. 

Qifrey watched nearby in awe, gazing at you like there was nothing else. It wasn’t until Nolnoa snapped him out of it that Qifrey explained what happened at the hospital. As they both spoke to each other, Tartah abruptly interrupted them, “Oh, that's right. My question. I wanted to ask about that unusual flash of light that appeared the other day.”

However, that's when Qifrey and Granda simultaneously said “Flash of light?” with confusion written on their faces.

A chill ran through you, a feeling set in, a bead of sweat appeared on you and Tartah, “Never mind.” You both walked away, a good distance from them, as they continued to speak. However, you felt like someone was staring at you.

Nolnoa “At least don't make it obvious.”

Qifrey regains himself, “I assure you, it’s nothing like that, Mr. Nolnoa.”

Nolnoa would shake his head with a smile as he turned to get back on the ferry.

You and Tartah were in your own world, more confused than before. But you both silently agreed that you’d both have to look into it on your own. That's when Granda’s voice cut off your thoughts, “Tartah. (Name). The ferry’s leaving.” 

Tartah quickly ran to get on. You turned to walk over when you felt a hand gently grab yours. You turned and saw it was Qifrey’s.

“Before you leave, I wanted to thank you for the honeytree tarts. My apprentices and I greatly enjoyed each one.” He said with a warm smile on his face. 

You tried to keep your composure, “Oh, I’m glad. I can always-” 

Qifery took your other hand, holding both in his. He looked deeply into you. “I would be charmed if you would visit my atelier.”

Heat rushed inside you as he continued, “We’ll be eagerly awaiting your visit, (Name).” Then he lifted your hand and placed a gentle peck upon your knuckles before he let go.

Coco was happily observing with sparkles in her eyes, while Tartah looked slightly uneasy.

All you could manage was a nod, “R-Right,” as you hurriedly stepped onto the ferry. 

As the ferry left, Qifrey remained gazing at you. You couldn’t look away either, as Coco and Tartah shouted at each other.

The Accessory

Another tiresome day it would be. Teaching the girls, cleaning up disasters, attending the great hall, and multiple other responsibilities in his short schedule. Yet despite his exhaustion, Qifrey would find himself having a restless night. For countless hours, he attempted to quiet his mind, but no matter what, sleep refused to come. 

Quietly, he rose from his bed and let a defeated sigh escape him. He decided that a walk outside would do him great. He made his way downstairs and carefully closed the front door of the atelier, slipping out into the night.

He wasn’t aware how long he had been wandering, but before he could realize it, he found himself deep in the woods that he’d never seen. 

That's when he heard the soft sound of a voice humming somewhere in the distance. Curiosity got the better of him as it would take the lead. He followed the sound to discover who it belonged to. 

Shortly afterwards, he would stop, a fair distance from a lake, as water was something he deeply detested.

But what truly caught his attention wasn’t the lake itself.

But a woman bathing in the lake. 

Qifrey would be mesmerised, enchanted, by her bare figure that was illuminated beneath the gentle moonlight. The light made her completely exposed to anyone who was to stumble by, someone like him. 

Qifrey immediately attempted to avert his gaze. However, he couldn’t find the willingness within himself to do so.

He was at a loss for words, unable to find suitable words to accurately describe the sight before him.

His eyes would trace every detail, but not in a perverted way. Rather, in a way one would admire a work of art. How the moonlight shimmered against the droplets running down her skin, the graceful curves on her form. Yet one aspect he noticed stood out from the rest.

It was her ears. They seemed to be pointed, in a leaf-like shape.

Being so captivated, Qifrey didn’t notice that he was unconsciously stepping closer. His foot slipped on a patch of mud. This caused him to be abruptly taken out of his spell-like trance as he lost his balance. He fell backward, sliding into the lake. 

The splash would loudly echo through the night's deathly silence. 

Startled, Qifrey looked up to where he had seen you. 

Eyes meeting one another.

You looked like a deer being caught, frozen in place. The moment was held for only a few mere seconds before fear took over you. You crossed one arm over your chest in a weak attempt to cover yourself, while the other dragged against the surface of the water. This created a giant wave to surge in his direction. 

Qifrey countered it using an earth spell to shield himself. After the wave crashed and soiled everything around, he looked up once again, and you were gone without a trace. 

Qifrey inspected and walked around the lake, searching for any small sign of you. After minutes passed, he sighed in defeat as he found no success. 

He turned on his heels, beginning to walk back to his atelier. He would make a few steps away before he stumbled on something beneath his shoe, hearing a crack. He looked down to where he tripped and saw a small accessory, broken and damaged, that was almost buried in the dirt. 

He bent down, picked up the pieces he could, and held them in his palms. Suspecting that it belonged to you, he debatably slipped it into his small bag behind his witch belt and continued his path.

Once Qifrey returned to his chamber, he cleaned himself and changed into a more comfortable attire for the night. Only after would he go to his desk, where the accessory pieces lay. 

Carefully, he cleaned it as if it were fragile like glass. 

“Fascinating…” He murmured as he inspected it. “I’ve never seen craftsmanship quite like this.” 

As he continued his inspection, he noticed some parts of the accessory were severely damaged, almost to the point of unsalvageable unless that piece was bought and mended into it again. 

His mind was still racing, sleep being the least of his concerns now. He thought back to the mysterious woman. ‘How is it possible her ears were shaped like that? More importantly, how did she cast that wave spell with no ink or paper?”

Throughout the entirety of the night, he would devote his time and skills to repairing the damage as best as he could. 

Morning would arrive before he noticed, being fixated on the accessory. 

It wasn’t until a knock on his door broke him from his work. It was Olruggio, “Qifrey? Breakfast is ready. The girls are waitin’ for yah.”

Surprised, Qifrey managed to reply, “Understood, I appreciate it.” 

As he ate, the girls could see he was exhausted, as he kept repeatedly yawning. Suspicion was written on each of their faces, asking questions. 

“Master, are you all right?”

“Were you up all night?”

“I think I heard the front door open and close at night while I was getting something to drink.”

“Master, did you go outside at night?”

“Maybe he was meeting someone.”

Question after question, he deflected, “It's a nice day today, no? How do you feel about a trip to Kalhn? I promise to buy all one thing you want.”

The girls were ecstatic at the thought and scurried to get ready to leave. 

They would shortly arrive in the streets of Kalhn. The girls would remain close to Qifrey as they wandered around the town. They would call out to him when they found what they wanted, and as promised, each of them would choose one item to keep. 

Eventually, Qifrey would reach his destination, a jewelry store.

“Master, what are we doing at a jewelry store like this?” Agott asked in curiosity, knowing he was not the kind to wear jewelry. 

He thought of a suitable excuse, “I have a friend whom I’d like to give a gift to, and she happens to like jewelry."

Immediately, the girls wanted to help and scattered around the store, bringing him all kinds of gems and jewels they thought could be the one he was looking for. Until finally he found the perfect one.

As they left the shop, the girls whispered amongst each other behind Qifrey.

“What do you think he is making?”

“Who do you think this friend is?”

“Master has never been this serious about giving someone a gift.”

Making their suspicious re-sprout once again.

When night approached, Qifrey made sure the girls went to their rooms. He would then go to his chamber and go back to his desk. Staying up once again, continuing the careful repair. 

This routine would continue for multiple days and nights. 

Until finally, after a week, he fully repaired the accessory. It looked even better than before. Qifrey looked at it in his hands, as a satisfied smile rested on his face. Now he just had to return it to you. It would be tonight, he waited until it was the same hour as that night. Once he left, he retraced his steps in the woods. 

However, even if he made it to the lake, he could only hope you would be there once again. As he arrived, the lake coming into his view, his breath hitched in his throat. 

There you were, once again bare.

Just like the first time that night, his body stood completely still. However, he had no intention to scare you off. So he gently cleared his throat to grab your attention. He watched as you turned your head to the sound. 

Your eyes met his gaze once more. The air was filled with tension.

Before panic overtook you again, he raised the accessory and held it in his hand. 

Your eyes widened, it was the one you had lost. 

Hesitantly, you cautiously approached him. The water rippled around each of your movements as the moonlight made it glisten. When you finally reach him, you open both of your hands together. 

Slowly, Qifrey placed the accessory gently into your palms. You examine it closely, surprised it wasn’t broken after you dropped it, but you notice newly added things. Small details were added, more gemstones were added, seamless and tidy mending on the silver/gold/etc.

You looked up at him, curiosity held in your eyes. Qifrey’s eyes remained focused solely on yours, not caring that you were bare. 

There was no lust or malicious thoughts behind them.

In a calm tone, he finally spoke, “I had found it when I accidentally stumbled upon you that night. I deeply regretted our first encounter, and when I discovered I had even damaged your accessory, I wanted to repair it properly. I hope you can accept it.”

For a moment, only the sounds of rustling leaves and water filled the noise. 

Until you gazed back down and spoke, “I’ve been looking relentlessly for this. I was devastated when I couldn’t find it.” You traced the newly added details with a smile appearing on your face, “I don't know how I could ever thank you for this. Especially for the lengths you took to repair it.”

Qifrey felt a warmth stir within his chest. “I think a simple name exchange of names would suffice. I am Qifrey the witch. I would be charmed to know yours”. He said as he cupped his hands under yours.

The tension melted between the two of you, “I’m (Name), the water nymph of this lake.”

That surprised Qifrey, ‘A nymph?’

Throughout his life and studies, he had only heard little to no information on nymphs or other divine creatures. Causing it to be called by many folklore and fiction, as no one could prove its existence.

His mind flooded with questions once again. But just as he was about to speak again, a familiar voice echoed in the woods.

“Master! Are you out here?” Agott shouted

It caused the both of you to freeze.

“Where are you, Master?” Coco, “Are you sleepwalking?” and Tetia, both shouting with Richeh likely following behind but silently.

Qifrey turned his head towards their voices, his apprentices not visible, but his heart sank immediately. This was the last thing he would want them to see.

He turned back to you, seeing you with a horrified look. Your eyes looked at a different part of the lake. He followed your gaze across the water, and there he saw what looked to be a dress lying on a flat rock near the shoreline.

You had always been clumsy since you could remember. Even during the trial of The Consent of the Crown, it was by sheer luck that you passed. Your teacher would always hold their breath whenever you cast magic, especially inside their atelier. 

Numerous people thought it was a quirk of yours that would eventually end as you got older and matured. 

However, that proved to be wrong.

Now you were teaching alongside Qifrey, your lover. Truthfully, if it weren’t for him, you’d certainly have your head unscrewed by now. You adored him dearly for his patience, but you can tell he found a certain thrill out of watching you embarrass yourself. 

Sometimes he would happily tell the girls some of the stories of your mishaps that he happened to bear firsthand witness to. But among all those memories, there's one moment he holds the most cherished.

Your first kiss together. 

This was before he had taken his apprentices under his guidance. Qifrey had gone outside to gather some herbs that had run out, while you stayed behind to prepare dinner. Once you finished, you headed outside to call him back so you could eat together. 

To make the trip to him quicker, you pressed your feet together to activate the levitation spell. Unfortunately, earlier that day, you had recast the spell on the bottom of your shoes due to it having been washed off. But it appears you made the signs too long, which threw the spell off balance. This caused you to shoot forward at a rapid and alarming pace.

Qifrey heard your screams in the distance. This caused him to look up from the herbs. He noticed you zipping towards him uncontrollably.

“(Name)?” Before he had a chance to react, you crashed directly into him. 

The forceful impact sent both of you tumbling back a good distance. After the rolling came to a stop, you came to a realization. To your dread, you had landed directly on top of him with your lips pressed against his. 

You immediately pulled away and scrambled off him, stammering out apologies as your face warmed up. Qifrey would stare for a moment, processing what had happened so quickly. But soon after, he would laugh as he saw the sight of your panicking state. 

Enough of reminiscing. Currently, you are kneeling on the ground next to Coco, helping her draw spells that include different elemental sigils.

“You’ve shown great improvement in comprehending fire and wind, ” you said warmly. “How about we start trying spells that contain earth sigils? Here’s a simple one to start with.”

You drew a simple earth spell. But the moment you completed the ring, you were met with a burst of dirt hitting your face. Both you and Coco yelped at the suddenness. It stopped after a few seconds, but it left a mess behind. 

Qifrey heard the commotion and hurried to where you were. “What happened? Are you both alright?” 

He offered you his hand to help you get up from the ground, and then he brushed off some of the dirt from your face. Once he was certain neither of you was harmed, he let out a chuckle from his lips, “I suggest you both go take a bath. I’ll tidy this mess up while you do so.”

You nod sheepishly and turn to Coco, “I apologize. That is not what I had in mind to properly demonstrate to you on casting simple earth spells.”

Coco giggled as the dirt still clung to her dress. She still had those stars in her eyes as she walked away to her room.

You felt so embarrassed as you walked up the nearby stairs. Unfortunately, it seems clumsiness was still on your side. As you somehow managed to trip upwards. Qifrey noticed and went to help you up once again. You can see him desperately attempting to suppress his laugh.

Later in the evening, after you washed yourself thoroughly, dinner was being served. You sat down across Qifrey at the table, while the girls all sat at a smaller one nearby. After the food was blessed, everyone began eating. However, you didn’t notice that the plate was near the edge of the table. The second you applied pressure with your fork to pick up the food, the plate tipped directly onto your lap. 

The room was filled with silence.

Qifrey was the first to break it, “Oh dear, it's alright. I’ll clean it up.”

Qifrey immediately began to clean up what he could as you hurried upstairs to your shared room to change into a different set of clothes, again….

After that fiasco was dealt with, you decided to grab a book from a bookshelf. Just as you were reaching for the book you wanted, you accidentally knocked over one beside it. The books from that row of the shelf all fell on top of and around you. Letting out a defeated sigh as you began to organize them and put them back in their rightful place on the shelf.

As the day was finally coming to an end, you returned to your shared room to retire for the night. 

You were changing out of your attire. But as you were lifting your clothes over your head to take them off, they suddenly got stuck. You attempted to undo it by tugging it upward, but it was no use. Suddenly, a door could be heard opening and closing. Even though you were unable to see because the fabric covered your vision, you instantly recognized who it was as his footsteps drew closer. 

“My, my, what an interesting show I’ve stumbled upon.” Qifrey teased as he helped free you. 

You hit him on the shoulder for that comment as you continued getting ready for bed, "Don't utter a word about it.”

Qifrey chuckled, “And what makes you suggest I would? I wasn’t going to.”

You narrowed your eyes at him while he looked at you with an ‘innocent’ smile.

Once you finished and did your nightly routine, you walked to your shared bed to finally rest. As you get closer, you accidentally stub your bare foot against the corner of the bed frame. Pain immediately shot through your toes as you collapsed onto your side of the bed. You groan as you hear Qifrey’s laughter fill the room. 

Moments later, you felt the mattress dip on the opposite side from his weight. A pair of arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you until your back rested against a chest. 

“Apologies. I think this is the most I’ve seen you have accidents in a single day in the atelier,” Qifrey said with a warm smile on his face. “But it's precious to see you continuing forward. That’s one of the many things I cherish about you, dear.” 

The tenderness in his voice made your face heat up. You turned around to face him. “You know what just to say to make a person swoon for you, don't you?” 

He continued to smile at you, “Whatever do you mean, my dear?”

You rolled your eyes before you pressed a gentle kiss on his lips, to which he returned happily. The both of you lingered for a few moments before slowly drifting off into the night, wrapped in each other's warm embrace.

It was a few hours into the night when, out of the blue, a loud thud abruptly woke up Qifrey. He quickly sits up and realizes you're not beside him. he leans over to the edge of the mattress on your side. There he sees you sprawled out on the floor.

“...”

“...”

He knew you were awake. “Do you plan to stay there all night?”

You replied with annoyance in your voice, “Yes, why not? It's much more comfortable down here anyway.”

Qifrey would laugh softly at your irritation and stubbornness before getting up himself to get you back into bed. This time, he would embrace you more tightly in his arms than previously to ensure that you won’t roll off the bed again.

“How are you feeling at the moment?” Qifrey asked, resting a gentle hand on the curve of your pregnant belly. 

You shifted your gaze from the nearby window to him. You didn’t bother forcing a smile to hide your discomfort. 

“The pain is getting too much to bear,” you said with a weak voice while trembling. But it wasn’t from fear.

Qifrey stiffened when you uttered those words. It pained him to see you like this. Worse is that he can't do anything. Nor could the doctors, as there was no cure for your sudden illness that was upon you. 

It felt like it was only a few days ago you were glowing with such joyfulness. Now, that was completely swallowed, replaced with despair and gloom. It's as if you were being drained until you were empty. 

As much as Qifrey wanted to stay by your side all day with you, he couldn’t. He had to teach and help the girls, especially Coco, the new apprentice he had taken under his wing. Reluctantly, his hand lingered off your belly. Before departing, he would lean down to give you a small tender kiss on your forehead and lip. 

The room had fallen silent. The only noise would be the thoughts running through your mind. 

‘Will I even be able to see my baby when they are born? Will I even make it long enough to give birth to them? When will this parasite leave-’, You immediately shook your head. You loathed yourself for even thinking such a vile thing. 

Struggling, you attempted to sit up on the headboard. Once you're comfortable enough, you'll look out the window. Lost in a daydream of how you'd be walking freely around in the field. There would be no pain, just freedom with your pregnancy. 

What a hopeless dream. 

But one that keeps on recurring every time you look out at the scenery that was just outside the atelier. As you stared off into the outside, you saw Qifrey with the four girls heading out. You watched as their figures slowly faded into the distance. To where? Who knows, but you still felt a small pang of envy rise within you.

Out of frustration, you swung over the edge of the bed and stood up carefully. Your legs trembled as you tried to balance yourself. You took one step, you immediately regretted it, but you persisted. With each step, you felt like a thousand needles were being stabbed into you. You finally reached your bedroom door and opened it. You barely managed five steps out into the hallway when you heard a voice.

“Oi. What do ye think yer doing?” Olruggio was in front of you with a bowl of food in his hand. He came to deliver your dinner since Qifrey was gone. You jumped a bit from the stern look on his face from being caught.

You attempted to find an excuse, “I…I just wanted to get some-”.

“I know yer desperate ta go out,” Olruggio interrupted. “But yer in no condition to be doin’ that. Until then, ye have ta stay in yer bed. Ye know that by now.” He continued as he placed the bowl down on a nearby table to help you back to your bed. Once you were sat back down onto the bed, he would then hand you the bowl of dinner that Qifrey had made earlier. 

Just as he was about to take his leave, you spoke up, “Olly, please don’t tell Qifrey.” 

He looked at you for a moment before reluctantly sighing and giving a small nod at your request, “Fine.”

A few more weeks would pass, and you entered your eighth month of pregnancy. By then, the last shine in your eyes had completely vanished. Qifrey desperately tried to regain it. To him, it felt like the last kindling fire of your spirit had fizzled out, and all he could do was watch. Some days, you would hurl the pillows across the room in frustration as tears streamed down your face. Thinking of how unfair it was that you had to suffer. Meanwhile, others got to enjoy their pregnancy like normal. 

Of course, Qifrey would tidy up the room as he tried to comfort you. But to no avail, as you stayed silent and faced away from him.

It broke his heart each time.

One day, nobody was in the atelier except you. It was like no other day, you sitting back against the headboard as you stared off into the fields again. Yet that was abruptly stopped when you felt something fluffy crawling underneath the duvet. You lifted it to see the precious white brushbuddy of this atelier.

“Brushbuddy? Don't you usually go with the girls? Not that I'm complaining now.” You say as you pet the brushbuddy. It made squeaks while rubbing against the curve of your belly. You let a small chuckle escape you; it was something you hadn’t done in ages. 

You gently scratched the brushbuddy with your fingers. Then a sudden thought occurred to you.

“You know what? I think this is an excellent moment to go outside for once.” You say as you attempt to get off the bed and stand up. The brushbuddy climbed onto your shoulder as you slowly and agonizingly made your way down towards the front door. 

After what felt like ages of suffering, you were finally going outside. Sweat clung to you as you breathed heavily. You pulled open the door, and a gentle breeze greeted your face. For the first time in forever, you had a small but genuine smile on your face. 

You slowly made your way to the back of the atelier. There was a small patch of flowers by a cliff. You attempted to make your way there. However, just a few feet away from the flowers, your legs had finally given up on you. You collapsed onto the ground. 

Thankfully, you manage to not land directly onto your stomach. But even so, you still were in a great deal of pain. A cry would escape from you as you winced in pain. The brushbuddy was panicking beside you for a moment before it ran off somewhere. All you could do was lie there helplessly as you clutch your body. You don't know how many minutes went by before you finally heard your name being shouted. You slowly turn your head in the direction you heard the voice coming from. But you didn't need to, as you already knew who it was from. 

It made your heart sink.

Qifrey was on his knees beside you, carefully helping you sit up. 

“What were you thinking!? Do you have any idea how dangerous this could have been!? What if you or the baby had gotten severely hurt!?” It was rare for Qifrey to raise his voice in anger, especially towards you. However, it all faded the moment tears welled up in your eyes.

“I just wanted to go outside… just once atleast before I….” You couldn't complete your sentence, as if there was a barrier preventing you from speaking that final word.

Qifrey's breath halted. He knows what you want to say, something that plagues his mind, knowing it's most likely to happen soon. But he refuses to accept it, even if there's a small fraction of your survival.

He let out a sigh, guilt within his voice, “It’s not your fault. Forgive me for shouting, I was frightened the moment I saw you. I can't bear the thought of losing you.” He held your hand within his and squeezed it a bit.

You started crying from frustration, “I keep thinking terrible things. That I regret having this child. That they are the reason for my suffering, like a parasite. But then I regret thinking that. I'm ashamed and disgusted with myself for even considering that as their mother.”

Qifrey tucks your head into his shoulder, massaging circles on your back. "Please don't blame yourself. It's only natural that you think this way. I promise I won't stop looking for a cure, then we shall all live happily together. Wouldn't that sound lovely?”

He warmly smiled as he said that, as he looked at you. Yet deep down, he knows he only has a short amount of time left. But even so, he won't stop trying to find a cure. He could only hope that some sort of miracle would be dropped down upon him to finally free you from the illness.

A Mission

The WISE and the SSS organization have been national rivals since the dawn of time. Yet here you were, on a date with Yuri. You had both been introduced to each other by Loid when he invited you to help tutor Anya.

The day after Yuri’s first visit, Loid immediately went to Handler and informed her of what had happened, but most importantly, that Yuri was a part of the SSS. That's when Handler suggested the idea of [Code name] playing the role of Loid’s younger sister, Y/n Forger. 

At first, Loid didn’t see the point until Handler emphasized that Yuri deeply despises him to the core, meaning he would likely try anything to arrest him. One of the few ways for that to change quickly would be for Loid to have a younger sibling, preferably a female, so Yuri wouldn’t have a reason to be jealous or to further annoy him. Handler suggested that Loid introduce Yuri to Y/n.

Days later, Loid was attempting to help Anya improve her academic fundamentals by making her study for her upcoming midterms. However, it proved to be a difficult situation as Anya couldn’t comprehend the formulas or memorize them even when they were explained. 

Yor saw this and suggested inviting her younger brother, Yuri, to tutor Anya, since he had mentioned to her that he was open to the idea. That caught Loid’s attention. While he appeared calm and grateful for the idea, his mind was somewhere else. He remembered their first and chaotic encounter too well.

With Handler’s words in mind, Loid also suggested to Yor that his younger sister tutor alongside Yuri. Yor was happy and eager to finally meet Y/n, as Loid mentioned her a few times before. Loid would call you first and ask you to visit to help Anya. It’s the first time he has invited you to his apartment. It was a code between you that the mission of introduction would take place that day.

Yuri arrived before you, and once you arrived, Loid introduced you to them as his younger sister. After Loid left to do another mission, you were given a better opportunity to speak with Yuri. Somehow, Anya managed to help create topics for the two of you to talk about. However, your time together was cut short due to Yuri’s impatience. Thankfully, before leaving, Yuri gave you his telephone number.

Now, you were trying to play your cards carefully to proceed with the mission. So far, the date was going well; you were at a carnival in town. You had to admit, it was lovely, and you were genuinely having fun. Yuri was playing balloon darts and was incredibly good at it. Then again, he was an SSS agent. As you cheered him on beside him, you caught something in the corner of your eye. You take a quick look and immediately stiffen. You see Loid and Yor.

‘Are you kidding me?! Of all places!?’ Both of you thought as you made eye contact.

You quickly looked back at Yuri. He doesn’t seem to notice them yet, but still, you can’t have him steer his focus away from you. This mission was crucial for WISE. You try to block his view with your body as much as you can. Once he finished the game and received a small prize, you quickly thought of a way to get away. 

“Oh wow, Yuri, you're so talented at darts! How about we go on a roller coaster next?” You said joyfully

“Oh well- Wait is tha-”, You didn’t let him finish and forcefully dragged him by his arm.

 “The line will be longer if we aren’t quick,” you said, trying to hide your stress behind your voice. Once you went across the carnival and arrived at the ride, you waited until it was finally your turn.

The rest of the date night continued with you pulling Yuri away to other parts to get away from Loid and Yor. Somehow, you and Loid kept nearly bumping into each other. At some point, you and Yuri were now peacefully eating a few pastries. 

“Loid, these desserts look delicious!” Yor was suddenly a few feet behind Yuri at a food stand.

Yuri froze when he heard Yor’s voice. He started turning around. Time went slowly as you panicked. 

'No! Both of our date missions will be ruined if he sees her on a date with Loid! What do I do?!’ Your mind is racing to get an idea to stop Yuri from seeing Yor.

With only a few seconds to spare, you did what first came to your mind. You quickly grabbed Yuri's face, turned him to face you, and kissed him right then and there. 

After a few seconds, which felt like minutes, you pulled back. Yuri’s face was in pure shock and fully red. 

“Yuri, tonight was lovely, but I’m starting to feel tired," You said calmly. “I also don’t want you to feel exhausted tomorrow while you're working.” You grabbed his hand and gently walked out of the carnival with him.

“Huh? Oh right…. I have work tomorrow.” Yuri replied, still processing what happened and completely forgetting he heard Yor’s voice. 

As you sat on the train, Yuri was still unusually quiet and looked like he was spacing off into the clouds.

“I apologize, I shouldn’t have done that without your permission.” You said as you looked down with shame. “The night was so exciting that I ended up forgetting it was reality and thought it was a dream.” 

That was a lie, but it's something you thought that could explain to him without revealing the truth.

Yuri was pulled out of his thoughts as he heard your words. “No, it’s completely fine.” He assured you as he saw you looking upset. “But…now I’m not sure if this is an appropriate time since we left the carnival, but would you be my girlfriend?”

You gasped. This was a perfect opportunity to get closer to him and gather more intel on the SSS. You told him how you ‘felt’ and accepted being his. He would walk you home with a smile plastered across his face. You shared one more kiss at the door before parting ways. 

But the moment you heard his footsteps fade out, you immediately reported to WISE.

‘The Moon is out tonight.’ A simple code to the agents, signaling to them that you’ve succeeded in your mission. 

But after you sent the message, a sharp ping of guilt hit your heart. You weren’t sure why. You knew he was the opposing enemy for you, that you shouldn’t harbor feelings for him. Even as a spy, your feelings are supposed to be pushed aside, to never interfere with the mission you were given.

Fox Problem

You and Ri-Kusuriuri were resting in an inn after slaying multiple Mononoke today. 

It was rare to see Ri break even a sweat when the mission was over. But currently, he is face-planting into the futon, not caring about even getting into something more comfortable.

You went out of the room for a moment to get water, and when you came back, a fox was lying there….

You slowly made your way to the fox and saw the same marks that Ri had on his face. That’s when you realized he had turned into a fox.

You gushed and immediately started to pet him, his fur was soft as clouds. Ri woke up from the sudden contact.

He concluded that the mononoke must have taken so much energy that he transformed into his fox form.

You tried playing with him, but he just looked at you with that known stoic face. You tried to get a reaction from him or even hear those famous fox laughs. However, even though Ri is a fox, he is still the same Ri you’ve known.

He gave you the same stare he would to anyone in his human form. But the moment you scratched behind his ears, he had this blissful and peaceful look. His tail wagged on the floor, showing that he loved your touch. 

You soon went to sleep while hugging the fox close to you. 

However, when it was early in the morning and Ri woke up, he saw that he was still a fox. Being hungry and not being able to cook, he did what he could only do, scream.

The loud and sudden noise woke you up instantly. Who knew foxes could scream that loud? 

You soon got up, forcefully, and started making breakfast with Ri watching. But if Ri is still a fox, can he still eat human food? Either way, you decided to play it safe and give him a plate of raw meat and fruits.

Ri took one look at the plate and looked up at you. Even without words, you can tell that he’s very upset and disappointed with you. “What? Your fox, I'm not giving you ‘normal’ food.” You said to the fox. 

Soon Ri would eat his plate, but he would still be upset. Afterwards, he went back to the bedroom. While you cleaned the plates, you heard the sound of a loud bang on the floor. 

You suspected that Ri was trying to open his box carrier. You chuckled as you heard him let out small barks from frustration. It's rare for Ri to show emotions other than being snarky and sharp. 

When you finished, you went into the bedroom. As you silently entered, you saw Ri sitting with his back towards you, and his box carrier was lying on the ground facing up. Curious, you slowly walked behind him and saw what he was looking at, it was a shunga....

You immediately tried to snatch it from the floor, but Ri quickly grabbed it with his mouth. You both had a tug of war with the shunga. “Seriously!? Even as a fox, do you have no decency at all!?”

Ri ended up winning in the end. He even ‘laughed’ with the shunga in his mouth. 

Later, you saw Ri trying to make medicine that he was running low on. But to make medicine, it required smashing many things. Due to him only having paws, he did what he could only do, jump and try to smash it with his front paws. 

You laughed as you watched him struggle. Ri turned to you with annoyance written on his face. But he knew that by tomorrow, he would be back to his ‘normal’ self, and he would get his revenge on you then.

- When Kon learned you were immortal, he would be curious. He would ask multiple questions whenever you two had time to pass.

“How were your travels around the land?” “Have we passed each other before?” “Have you encountered another Kusuriuri?”

- Just like Kon likes to appear and disappear with other people, he would also do it to you. He likes it when you jump even the slightest from it. He would never stop, even if it had been 100 years.

- If you are shorter than him, he would tease you any time he could. Even if it's only by a few inches, he would still act as if it were the biggest difference in the world.

“It's always hard for me to see you down there. Even with many centuries behind you, you still haven’t had any luck with your growth. You should try to find a remedy that could help.”

- If you're taller than him, even with his wooden geta sandals, he would probably try to add a few more inches to his sandals.

- Kon would most likely make you test his potion. He already knows you're immortal, so why not help him with his medicine and potion-making?

“Here, test out this love potion. Hmm? I’m sure someone will need it,” he would say while smiling like a dumb child.

- Kon would do everything he could to annoy you sometimes, especially when he's bored. 

- As time passes, you’ve both experienced the changing of Japan's history. The culture was very different from the one you knew many years ago. Yet you both look the same as when you met. 

- Of course, your clothing, speaking, and customs have changed with time. But you both still slay and find Mononoke that lurk around Japan, still, even in forbidden places.

- But even in modern times, Kon would still love you just like in the olden days.

Agni 

Platonic: 

When you flat-out told Agni, he was concerned that you were talking about an illness he didn't know. It took a bit more explaining to Agni when you first told him. He even tried to find books talking about it, but there were very few. But it didn't change the way he viewed you any differently. You were a dear friend and as long as you're healthy and happy then he didn't mind. Agni would even help you if any person tried to court you but you didn't return those feelings. He would tell them that you didn’t feel the same or make an excuse for you. 

Romantic: 

As time went on, you confessed your feelings to him. He felt honored and relieved. He never thought he would be able to make such an emotional connection with you that you would feel affection for him. He would treat you like a deity who gave him a blessing, he would even thank you for confessing to him. He would be so happy that he would have a smile plastered on his face for an entire week. Soma would even congratulate Agni since he knew about his feelings for you for some time. Agni would spend as much time as he could with you. Even when he couldn't and was bust attending to Soma, you couldn't escape his mind.

Sebastian

Platonic: 

When you told Sebastian he understood quickly, no further explanation was needed. He’s seen how humans act for many centuries. Furthermore, he saw how you never once blushed and instead looked more annoyed when many people tried to court you. He just never could pinpoint why but now you’ve cleared it up. After some time he would watch you whenever he noticed another person feeling attracted to you. He would find it amusing when he saw the person's attempts fail. Of course whenever it would go too far then he would step in and create distance for you. Sebastian would even try his luck since he knows the desires of humans.

Romantic:

When you confessed your feelings to him, he felt a hint of pride. Sebastian has made multiple humans feel attracted to him. However, he’s delighted that you’ve made such a strong connection. He would treat you with the most respect a demon could. However, since you are in an official relationship, he would have fun and catch you off guard. The smallest tint of red would bring him much joy and amusement. Of course, he loves you dearly and is very grateful for being able to properly court you.

I’m not sure how to explain this but it’s basically a Gregory Violet x fem!reader who’s based of either Nikolai (bsd) or Chuuya (bsd) - Or just a fem!reader with quite the opposite personality than him

Quite Opposites

Your parents were nobles and their estate would pass down to you. These involved their dirty work behind the scenes. Running trades with members of dangerous gangs and politics from within and without the country. As a result, you’ve developed being prideful, confident, and having powerful leadership. 

Which is the opposite compared to your fiancé, Gregory. He would always keep quiet, reserved, and sometimes look terrifying. 

But even with their differences, they both loved each other nonetheless. However, you would never tell him about your family’s hidden scheme. But just like you hid yours, so did he.

Ever since he enrolled in Weston College you would be invited to watch him play cricket. This year would be no different. You sat in the crowd and waited eagerly for Violet Wolf House. 

The moment they exited you started cheering for Gregory as loudly as you could. Many eyes judged your ‘unladylike’ action but you didn’t care. You were proud that your fiancé was a prefect and playing out on the field. However soon your shouts would turn into anger when you saw Gregory not paying attention and instead pulling on the grass. 

“VI! NOW IS NOT THE TIME! GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME!”, you would shout more. Gregory would glance at you a few times, acknowledging you, but he immediately went back to his art. Which in turn infuriates you further, even though he was the one in the field you were more in the game than him. 

When the match ended, unsurprisingly the Violet house lost. However, Gregory made the Violet Wolf House emblem on the lawn. You would be disappointed and angry with him. 

When you changed stadiums and sat for the final match. You waited for Gregory so you could scold him, but the moment he sits next to you it all fades away. 

You would normally be relaxed and calm but sometimes you had a temper that would spark.

While you two were watching the final match, you felt him hold your hand. It was rare for him to show any affection, especially in public. You were taken aback but quickly fixed yourself. “Your hair and clothes look elegant. Did you get them recently?” He asked you. He’s always been the observer, seeing the smallest detail change. It made you blush a bit but you tried to act normal. 

Once the cricket match was over and the closing ceremony finished. You and Gregory walked around and enjoyed the festivities together. You bought more fashionable items that you saw in the vendor stands. Gregory would smile as he watched you look in a small mirror and model the hat you had. “What? You got something to say, then say it!”, you would say out of embarrassment. He would make a mental note to draw this moment once he returned to his room.

While you were walking around, you heard another woman “Oh is she the one that was acting like an annoying dog in the crowd? She’s quite short too, what an indecent woman that poor young man is stuck with.” 

The insult made your blood boil. You immediately slammed your hand on a table, almost breaking it, turned to the woman, and were about to shout at her, when your fiancé dragged you away. 

He knows about your hot temper when it comes to your height, “You can’t go shouting at everyone.”

It would take a while but he would calm you down and you would return to the festival like normal. As time went deeper into the night, people started to dance with one another. You wished you could join, but Gregory doesn’t like dancing, he says it makes him dizzy. So all you would do was watch as other couples would share their moments.

Soon the night would come to a close. As people left the school grounds, students returning to their dorms, you stood with Gregory on the now-empty sidewalk. You would say your goodbyes and share a kiss under the moonlight.

When he returned to his room he would draw the moments you spent together in his sketchbook. He didn’t look or speak it but he already missed your touch, your voice, and even your unique fashion taste. He loves you greatly, but he still needs to finish his final year.

As he finished one of the drawings, he saw that it was time for the midnight tea party. It’s alright he will continue the drawing when he returns.

Jere has known you ever since your parents introduced you two. You were both young and filled with endless joy, and you’ve stayed with each other since that day.

You listened to the music his cousin showed him, watched his love for music grow, visited him in the hospital, and saw when he was at his lowest point in life. Yet threw out all of it you stayed. 

Jere couldn’t help but fall in love with you. How couldn’t he? You’ve seen the worst and best moments in his life. You could have left him long ago, but yet, you didn’t. He yearned to be with you. He loved you, from both the outside and the inside.

Now here he was, watching you walk down the aisle. His eyes laid upon you, you looked ethereal, divine, heavenly. No words for him could describe you at this moment. He stood in his suit, watching as every step you took was closing the gap to be wedded. Everyone else became a blur, he only saw you.

He loved every part of you, including every one of your flaws. 

Your eyes locked for a moment, eyes filled with love. Time seemed to stop as you reached the altar. The rays of the sun enhanced your glow if it was even possible. 

With every word the officiant spoke, it felt like a ticking bomb. Soon the ‘I do’s’ were exchanged and the kiss to seal the marriage. Everyone clapped and cheered for the newly wedded couple. 

As much as he loved every moment he has been with you. This was the worst one he’s experienced. A new flaw appeared, a flaw that he couldn’t ignore.

That flaw was your newly married husband. 

He couldn’t ignore that he no longer had a chance to tell you. 

He had watched you walk the aisle as he stood with the crowd, reached the altar, and sealed the last hopes of being with you by kissing your husband. 

No one would know about his shattered emotions for you. He'd let you break his heart if it made you happy.

During the entire wedding, he dreamt of being the groom, who was his friend.

A Duet

You were a popular singer and you had your team to help you. You were performing in different parts of Europe.

You didn't typically do gigs, but your team wanted to try it out. You didn't mind it. But you were just used to bigger and more organized events.

Your team went to the place where the gig for today would be. You stayed behind in your hotel room and finished up your makeup.

Until a sudden text is sent from your assistant.

Assistant: Y/N! COME NOW!!

Assistant: THE VENUE DOUBLE BOOKED US!! 

“...S*IT”, You immediately grab your phone and run to the venue. 

Once you got to the building you ran to where you heard the commotion. 

Everyone was talking over each other and panicking.

Your assistant spoke, “Well our whole team is now here. So we should be the one to take the venue.” 

A bald man then spoke, “We've almost finished setting up. I think we should continue with the gig.”

You tried to voice your opinion but both teams didn't listen. Soon the door to the room opened and a man with a bowl cut stood there. 

He looked at you and your team with confusion. Then he looked at his team, “Mitä tapahtuu? miksi he ovat täällä?”

After explaining the accidental double booking he finally understood. You both wanted to continue your gig. So you both came to a last-minute agreement, a collaboration. 

Your teams seemed on the bench with the agreement. But they knew it was the best option to not disappoint the fans.

You fixed your makeup and changed in a different room. Meanwhile, your team was discussing which songs, lighting, movements, and where the props would go.

Soon the time came and people started to enter the building. You stood backstage, nervousness eating you up. This was so unplanned.

Jere seemed excited and hyper about this. He told you it would be fine. You found his broken English very amusing. He tried to overcome the language barrier and give comfort even when he didn't know you well.

You both went onto the stage and the fans started cheering immediately. The night went smoother than you expected. Interacting with the fans was fun and Jere loved to tease them. He even made you laugh along with the fans. 

After the gig ended you got yourself a towel and fixed yourself.

Jere came up to you, “Maybe we do this again?”

You two talked a bit and even after you both left you texted each other on Instagram. 

Many people were posting about the sudden collab at the gig. A few made assumptions as always. 

You and Jere met a few times after. You two found each other interesting. After a few months, you started to date. But you haven't made it public yet.

You and Jere booked a gig together. You were interacting with the fans and were about to end the gig. 

Jere spoke, “I have one more thing before leaving.” 

Jere walked over and kissed you. “We are uh.. Seurustelu. Dating, yes dating”.

Many of the fans cheered and took pictures and posted the news.

After the gig, you both went to your hotel. The media had gone into chaos. You were both in bed reading the news and posts. You both spent the night laughing and cuddling.
