I've never officially announced this but as u all probably know I am not active on Tumblr or within the phandom anymore. Tumblr is an extremely toxic community as a whole and affected me in really fucked up ways as I literally grew up starting in middle school on here. the amount of lesbian erasure, straight girls fetishizing mlm relationships, and aggressive and harmful microlabeling that goes on here is insane. I honestly believe that tumblr has made the lgbtq community look like a joke at times because of microlabeling and the harmful statements many have made that contribute to lesbian erasure . many ppl on this app do nothing but promote unhealthy habits and coping mechanisms. I am so glad I am not on here anymore because some of the phandom members are freakish and obsessive to a point where it's concerning. tumblr is an extremely toxic community to me and many others and I am glad I am no longer a part of such a mess . that's all . au revoir

In the American system, you are not voting for a candidate. You are voting for an outcome.

No matter who runs as what, there are only two possible outcomes:

Donald Trump remains President.

The Democratic nominee, whoever it is, becomes President.

That’s it. Those are the only possible results. It is not possible for a third party candidate to win. It is not possible to completely rebuild our electoral system before the 2020 elections. One of those two things is going to happen.

If you vote for anyone other than Trump or the Democratic nominee, or if you choose not to vote at all, you are saying you don’t care which of those outcomes happen and you will gladly let everyone else decide for you.

This is literally how he got into power. When Trump got the nomination, the more moderate Republican voters said “well, I don’t like him, but he’s still better than a Democrat” and voted for him anyway. I know this because my parents are (or were in 2016) those moderate Republicans. And the fact that so many leftists won’t do that with the Democratic candidate is why he eked out victory. (Yes, I know Clinton won the popular vote – but a bigger turnout in the right places can make up for EC bullshit.)

It’s not about the person. It should be, but it’s not. It’s about which party has a majority and the Presidency, because the party with control makes the rules. And to proclaim in 2019 that both parties are equal evils is privileged horseshit.

Excellent commentary AND ALSO please be aware that pretending to be a leftist of some stripe and encouraging people not to vote because the Democratic nominee is insufficiently leftist or whatever IS A TECHNIQUE DELIBERATELY USED BY THE RIGHT TO DEPRESS THE VOTER TURNOUT OF THEIR OPPONENTS.

If you do not want Trump to win you have to vote for the Democratic nominee in the next presidential election. That is literally your only option given the realities in play. You don’t have to like them. In fact you should feel free to let them know how they can be better. But you DO have to VOTE THEM IN. It’s like in a board game when you put your piece in a less than optimal spot to block your opponent from just winning on the next move.

Okay that virus that’s going around, is seriously fucking scary. I got the same thing on my computer about a week ago and I got rid of it, but it took a lot. This type of virus can control your browser, it can control your webcam, it can control all your files, and track you.

If you’ve seen the post already, do not click on the user if someone like this follows you. 

 If you do on accident, you will be taken to an FBI site, which tells you you’ve viewed pornography and stuff. Looks a little like this…

It asks you to pay a fine. ITS NOT REAL. DO NOT PAY IT. You won’t be able to leave the page, or close your browser. Your computer is probably infected now, and you need to remove it.

Click ctrl-alt-delete at the same time and open task manager. Shut down your browser. Uninstall it completely. 

Reset your computer to the last known date when you didn’t have the virus.  

Install and Run malawarebytes. It’s a free service, that get’s rid of all bugs in your computer. The download link is here. Most antivirus softwares can’t detect things like this, so your best bet is to just download it. Run a full scan to ensure your computer is clean.

Restart your computer, and you should be fine. 

The main thing here is to not panic. I did, and it just makes the situation worse than it really is.  

If you have seen a post about it, you’ll see that icon, and a URL with random letters. Please don’t risk it, you’ll have to work really hard to get it off your computer. Be careful, and DO NOT PANIC. Here is another tutorial on how to get rid of it,
