Okay so it's 2017 right? Just before the All Stars game. Shane and Rose are dating. Ilya is lying awake thinking about how he's going to face Hollander. He's thinking about how things got all fucked up. He's staring at the ceiling going Okay so saying his name was the mistake that was the wrong move, clearly, but maybe I did everything wrong from the start and he's going back through every moment of that day thinking what he could have done differently, what he could have done to make Shane stay, and he's blinking in the dark thinking I want a do-over just one I'd do it right this time I promise.

And then he wakes up. It's Fall, 2013. Yesterday, him and Shane slept together for the first time. Shane's sent him a shy, earnest message. Because Ilya hasn't taught him not to send those, yet. Ilya hasn't ghosted Shane for six months, yet. Ilya hasn't set the tone of their dynamic, yet.

Ilya gets his do-over. He's going to do it right this time.
