Little draft š„¹
there is barely any Shadowcacao posts and I need to stay motivated to complete this š¤
The king of the north hated social affairs for the sole purpose of their creation: to be social, to engage in conversation. Perhaps something was fundamentally wrong with the dragon lord but his disdain for such things only grew with ageāeven with his awakening he only grew fond of such frivolous activities with those whose Dark Cacaoāsāa confession he would never admit⦠clingy, and rather needyāheart held captive.
Such as his warriors,Ā
His fellow heroesĀ
And as much as he dislikes the idea of itā¦
A certain blue jester that was currently shuffling beside himāhe had long since drained the noise out within the first month of their courting. Not to say he didnāt appreciate such pleasantriesāignoring his earlier opinion on activities due to his fondness of the fool beside himābut he had soon realized that the foolās chatterters were as useful as his soul jam during the progression of his awakening.
āHe-ll-ooooo? Cao-Cao? Are you even listening? Anyone home my dear dragon?ā Steering Cacaoās inner-monologue to a halt.
āForgive me I⦠I began to lose myself in my mindāĀ
āI suppose Iāa fellow actorāknows what itās like when you are not the director of your own scene!ā A pause āDear, if Iām not mistaken that snake was invited to partake in the ballroom activities?ā
āIf it is needed for this conversation to continueāindeed. But you do realize I would prefer it if you would refer Pure Vanillaāeven with your historyāwith his nameāĀ
āAs much as that idea entertains me; I donāt like revisions in my scriptāyou being the exception.ā The jesterās azure digits danced around the ashen ruffles holding themselves around his wristāthe fabric anticipating their choreography, following his ministrations that came from the act of grooming. āSpeaking of my favorite actorāyour given name is hardly in the top TWENTY for the preferred name I have given you.āĀ Ā
The jester-privilege always seemed to work on the king, who was currently debating if he should upset the jester by defending the theft of truth⦠he realized the latter would result in the depletion of his ability to interact with the othersāwhich would be a necessary evil due to his promise that heād return before biding the fellow ancients adieu. Although if the jester had his wayāsomething he would have regardless of the kingās wishesāsaid promise would cease to be fulfilled.
āDo not compare apples to orangesāas names youāve presented towards me are due to fondness not malice. At least that is what I presumeā
The jester skidded to a stop, Cacao jostling from the haze in which love lulled him towards upon colliding with the man; Shadow Milkā head rotating backwards to greet the armor-heavy man. The blue manās lips curled towards his duel-colored eyes that his abilities gained the kingās grimace of disgustādue to⦠control over hisā¦. friends(?) anatomyāthe rest of his body following suit to grasp the dragonās shoulders.Ā
āWell why would you think otherwise my dear!ā It didn't go unprocessed by the jester that his dear king was still shaken from the social atrocities that was ballroom dancing. How Cacao felt increasing interest with the floor rather than Shadow Milkās eyesāalthough the dragonās ears were weighed from gravity accompanied by anxious anticipation Shadow Milk wished they were due to his conduction.
It simply wouldnāt do!!
When the gloved hand devoured the attention of Cacaoās irises the kingās instincts flailedātugging him to touch such fabric with his lips against the silk; intricate lace orbiting the blue-powdered manās wrists that Cacaoās calloused fingers had rubbed over.
The jester was a lotus-eater, which was something Cacao inevitably wished to beāthe flower of Narcissus blooming whenever he gazed upon himselfāyet the ability of love was not presentāonly to critique the man he saw before him.Ā
An abysmal sovereignĀ
An Derelictful father
A creature unworthy⦠and yet the harlequin before him still sought him out furthermore.
If it was not for the jester he supposes heād be staring a distortion mirror of all eternity, cursed to play out the same fateāThe fool seems to be able to snap him out of his haze of melancholy, night terrors morphing into day dreams, the bags nestled his eyes not wound so tightly with tension like from the past.Ā
Simply in part to his dear jesterāa relationship if had formed in the past heād convinced to be a jestātheir personalities oxymoronsĀ
And perhaps that is why the dragon lord prefers the foolās company, and perhaps that is why the holder of deceit prefers the ink-haired man over his⦠ātruthfulā counterpart. The ability to do what many who have entered each otherās life had failed to doāthe ability to cause oneās heart to bleed onto the sea of loneliness that had submerged both of them. To create such things, such feelings, such desire.Ā
To create such understanding.Ā
A skill neither of them thought they had anymore.
