I hope this makes it a little bit easier for you to navigate around my posts. Each name will be hyperlinked as a story relating to them becomes available.
I'm looking to improve my writing, and constructive criticisms are very much welcome ☺️
There will certainly be differences in tones/writing style depending on what the plot is about.
Thank you once again for taking the time to read my works! They're also up on AO3 and Wattpad under the pen name SakuraInSpring.
Nekoma, in its origin, is associated with felines. It's aforementioned name- Neko- meaning cat.
Thus, this representation is also carried forward to the novel as more than just an interpretation. Its religion, beliefs, and government structure are centered on this identity.
Magusren is also considered one of the tactical domains in the empire, prioritizing strategy over aggression.
◇ ETYMOLOGY
- Magus : Sorcerer or wise man
- Ren : Barren land where the territory is situated.
◇ CULTURAL RITE
Standard greeting is performed by:
An open palm, where the fingers touch the forehead and then extending the same open palm towards the individual.
The forehead contact symbolizes a connection with the unseen spirits through the "third eye".
The outward gesture is to show connection from oneself to another, therefore continuing the flow. As well, it also shows trust without concealment.

Corvus is derived from the Latin word meaning Raven. A symbol of the region's identity inspired by its origin.
◇ Cultural Rite
When greeting a fellow kin, one must place a closed fist against the heart.
This symbolizes
- strength through resolve
- action guided by the heart
- five fingers united as one ; embodying unity and collective effort

"Lighthouses aren't as useful in the daylight as it is at night."
▪︎ Koshi Sugawara One-shot ▪︎
The text cursor glared at him, his phone the only source of light in his room.
Daichi: You handled today's training well!
Suga stared at the message, unsure how to respond. A normal reply would be 'thank you' but something about that message made him doubt if he really did well or if his captain was just being polite.
He typed, erased, typed again, and erased again. Over and over as if the right words will suddenly appear if he waited long enough.
It should have been simple.
So why was it difficult?
Suga buries his face into the pillow. It was half past nine and all he had for dinner was a meager bun from the konbini store across Karasuno. His mind was too preoccupied, he couldn't even remember his bus ride home and how he got to his bed. His shirt was still damp from sweat, clinging to him, much like his anxious thoughts, after an entire day of practice with his teammates.
They're crazy, he thought. Spending the whole weekend playing volleyball in this heat. Relentlessly practicing even after losing their chance at Nationals.
He was even crazier for believing he could ever be as talented as his kouhais.
He did admire their dedication. Truly, he did. But admiration didn't quiet the restlessness in his chest. Exhaustion has crept slowly, but his thoughts raced faster, anxiety threading through his veins until, before he's realized it, daylight has come.
-
The next morning, Daichi could not make it for practice. But as vice-captain, he had duties to tend, and he needed to hold the team from falling apart until their much more reliable senpai return.
He could do it, right?
But when Hinata struggled to master a new quick trick with Kageyama, Suga felt his body move to help, but once he reached him, he simply stopped to tap Hinata's shoulders followed by a small nod. That was all.
Didn't he have something better to say?
When Asahi lingered at the side of the court, shoulders slumped, weighed down by the memory of their loss at Spring Nationals, by the expectation of being the ace, Suga's feet carried him forward again.
But before he could reach him, an image of Daichi resurfaced.
Standing tall, speaking with ease, and saying exactly what everyone needed to hear.
Suga hesitated.
Would anything he say even come close?
Everyone respected their captain. They looked up to him and listened without question. Daichi had a way of lifting their spirits as naturally as his breathing.
If only Suga could be half as reliable.
He was, right?
He tried to picture himself as capable.
But was he?
Back in junior high, during a school event, he'd been assigned to bake cupcakes. Baking was one of the things he was confident in doing. He remembered feeling certain and proud, like this was something he could do right.
Then she came over. The girl in his class he was crushing on.
She had soft brown eyes, and a bright smile- so bright it made his chest tighten. She asked to try one of his cupcakes.
And he thought, this is it. He'll ask her out later.
Then she took a bite and spat it out.
"Gross."
Her words hit him harder that it should have.
That can't be right.
Maybe she was joking. Or maybe she was just being mean.
So he took a bite himself and he had to force it down his throat.
Salt.
The cupcake was salty. Not sweet. Just overwhelmingly and painfully salty. Just like the ocean his grandmother had taken him to the summer before.
Cupcakes were supposed to be sweet. Not like whatever abomination he has made.
How could he mistake salt for sugar?
They didn't even look the same.
After that, he became careful. With what he said, with what he did. Always thinking and always second guessing.
And every time he took a step forward with confidence, he was always pulled back by such memory.
What if I get it wrong again?
What if what I say doesn't help and just make things worse?
"Suga-san?" Hinata's voice snapped him back to reality.
He blinked. When did he get to the podium?
"Ah.." Suga swallowed a lump. Sometimes, his body moved without him. Was he so eager for another moment of embarrassment? It's not as though he was collecting bitter memories, or would salty memories be the better fit?
"I, uh." He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, "I guess since Daichi always ends practice with words of wisdom. I thought we should keep that tradition going even in his absence."
The team looked at him expectantly. Even Tsuki who was usually so indifferent was listening intently.
What would Daichi say?
-
After he was sure the gym doors where locked, he pocketed the keys, each step sure and precise. He's done it a gazillion times after all.
He locked it correctly, right?
"Hey,"
He turned around at the voice and Daichi was standing behind him, a gentle smile on his face.
"You did well on that speech."
"Hmm, just said the same thing you would have." Suga replied sheepishly. A small pain throbbing in his chest. There it was again.
Praise never felt like a praise. It just makes him feel like he still could have done better.
"Just doing my homework after all." He added lightly, brushing the ache with a laugh.
"I didn't tell you to do the same as I do, but you took initiative. I appreciate having a reliable person like you, Suga. I mean it." Daichi smiles genuinely.
It was painful to look at, Suga realized.
Was it jealousy? He wasn't certain.
But he wished, just a little, that he could have the same confidence and charm like his captain did.
"You are a beacon of light." Sugar blurted without thinking.
Daichi laughed at his remarks heartily.
"Hmm, you think?"
"Yeah. Like a lighthouse that tides our ship during a stormy night."
Karasuno's captain nodded and acknowledged it not in a boastful way but with gratitude for noticing his efforts.
It came so easy for him.
Suga could do it too, right?
"You're a lighthouse too." Daichi looks at him proudly.
Suga shook his head, "But you burn brighter and mightier."
Daichi walks on ahead, the sunset catching on his figure making him almost luminescent.
Suga didn't move with him. He just watches him make small strides forward. Like he always had. Suga was behind yet again.
"Did you know that they used to burn wood or coal to keep lighthouses lit at night? Then, eventually, it was replaced by whale oil so it would burn longer. Then, as time progressed, electric bulbs were introduced for convenience." Daichi paused before continuing, "Figuratively, we have to do all the inner work, just like a lighthouse, so that light reaches others."
He looks back at him with a soft smile, and Suga swore he looked like an angel.
"You should applaud yourself for the effort you put in. An effort, as little or as much, is still an effort. There isn't always a need to measure it."
Suga felt another ache, but it wasn't the throbbing kind. He realized he wasn't all alone.
The world was vast. In the grand scheme of things, he, and even Daichi were irrelevant. But not alone in that regard.
Inner work huh, he mused to himself.
He chuckles. Then took a step forward. Then another. Then another. Closing the distance between him and Daichi.
Will he ever catch up to him?
He will, right?
He's still uncertain.
But maybe, just maybe, every step forward meant something.
It had to mean something.
Right?
-
so uh do any of you guys know any good suga angst fanfics? Like no suga x reader and shipping angst stuff, but fanfics where hes lowk depres
@dustyoldfaztoken1987 this is for you!
I tried to capture the essence of "questioning self-worth" so notice how the core conflict here is Suga not believing that he could be capable. He is constantly at a tug of war with his inner voice.
He wants to be better. He feels he can be better, but there's an emotional conflict, a trauma stemming from a bitter memory and what basically has set the tone with how he approaches things.
This is even more brought to light when he compares himself to Daichi, who he portrays as someone steady and reliable. This makes his own efforts, Suga believes, irrelevant and small compared to his Captain.
That is when he spirals, and self-doubt takes over. As he criticizes himself so much, even genuine praises seem like he doesn't deserve it. Because he knows he can do better.
I haven't read much Suga exclusive stories out there, but I hope I didn't butcher this interpretation.
Funny thing is that, I'm writing a Haikyuu novel set in an alternative universe where Suga is pretty much like this, but there is character growth in the later chapters.
First of the Iaponian Empire domain to be introduced is Seijoh, also known as Aoba Johsai.
In Japanese, Aoba means green leaf 🌿. This element has been preserved in Eldranth.
The vines, the crown, and the castle, albeit white, draws direct inspiration from its source counterpart, including the kingdoms location in the southwest.
◇ETYMOLOGY
- Eld : Elder, of age and origin
- Anth : derived from the ancient Greek word Blossom
Its combined meaning is "Elder's Flower"
It originated from the ancestral Sovereign, first King of Eldranth as he regarded his kingdom his precious blossom.
◇CULTURAL RITE
Standard greeting in Eldranth is as follows:
- three fingers (ring, middle, and index) placed upon the heart
- followed by a slight bow
This gesture signify unity of :
the Crown (the King)
the Bloom and the Thorn as one
and the Root (the common folk)
And just the same, the cycle of rebirth, life and death. Of sprout, of bloom, and of decay.

The Iaponian Empire, derived from the Latin word for Japan - Iaponia.
All seven Haikyuu powerhouses are consolidated into a single empire, where each domain reflects the symbolic identity of its origin.
Seijoh : Crown/Plants, therefore they are of Eldranth Kingdom, Fukurodani : Owl, the symbol of Blyzhelm Principality etc.
While the Iaponian Empire serves as the central and primary focus, this archive acknowledges the existence of external empires beyond its borders.
This inclusion is intentional.
Only in later records, as canonically and in this novel, do select figures move beyond imperial borders, marking the beginning of international story expansion.
External empires remain undocumented within early entries by design.
Future Codex Entries Will Contain:
▪︎ The Seven Domains
Its Factions, Political Structure, Religion and Core information.
▪︎ Curses
▪︎ External empires codex will only be available when it becomes relevant to the record. Such as when a character or the Iaponian Empire makes visible contact and engagement with an external empire.

Waiting at the top of the wide stone steps was the man who ruled Magusren Territory.
Tetsuro.
Nekoma’s Head Chief.
The torches that burned on either side of
the entrance behind him casted his shadow across the courtyard.
He began descending, slow and unhurried, like someone greeting an expected guest. Not an ounce of surprise, even in spite of the guest's unannounced arrival.
His dark hair stirred slightly with every step he took and there was a glint in his eyes that Hajime took note of.
A slow grin spread across Tetsuro's face. “Well now,” he spoke casually. “Did you lose your way, Captain?”
Hajime stepped forward into the open courtyard, brushing snow from his thick coat.
“No.”
He lifted his eyes calmly toward the approaching figure. “I came to see you.”
“Oh?” Tetsuro’s grin widened. “You’re a brave man walking into enemy territory like this.”
By the time he reached the courtyard main floor, several Nekoma guards had subtly shifted
positions around Hajime.
Not threatening.
Just… ready.
Tetsuro circled him slowly, examining him like one would inspect a strange animal that
wandered too close to camp.
“No troops. No escort.” He clicked his tongue. “As powerful and capable as Seijoh’s captain
is, that still makes you a fool.”
Hajime didn’t move. “I have no need for guards.”
Tetsuro raised an eyebrow.
“This is personal business.” the captain added.
That answer seemed to amuse Nekoma’s Head Chief even more.
“Personal business…” he repeated thoughtfully. His eyes narrowed with playful curiosity.
“Without your princeling around, House Seijoh must be in quite the desperate situation if
you’re coming all this way.”
He gestured at the lone horse the captain was riding on. "By yourself at that."
Hajime wasn’t surprised Tetsuro already knew.
Nekoma controlled the largest web of spies and informants in the empire. Secrets rarely
stayed secrets for long once they drifted into their territory.
The disappearance of the Great King, Tooru, would never escape their notice.
Still, Hajime didn’t rise to the bait.
Tetsuro hummed.
“You know…” he continued casually, clasping his hands behind his back. “I’ve actually been
thinking about something lately.”
He began pacing again.
“Nekoma in the south.”
He gestured loosely toward the distant hills. “Seijoh in the north.”
Then his grin sharpened.
“With two powerhouses like that…” His eyes flicked back to Hajime. “…we could conquer the
rest of the empire.”
The guards around them remained silent, though several glanced toward their head chief.
Hajime answered evenly.
“That is an important discussion that must be made by our council. I cannot decide that
alone.”
Tetsuro stopped walking.
“Is that so?” He leaned slightly closer. “Then what are you here for? Are you switching sides
and joining Nekoma?”
Hajime’s patience thinned.
“I came to request passage through the Blackroot Hollow.”
That made Tetsuro pause. “The forest?”
Hajime nodded. “I need to meet the Oracle.”
There was a dreadful silence that followed and you could almost hear the snow fall off the ground.
Then Tetsuro burst out laughing.
A loud, unrestrained laugh that echoed through the cold evening air.
“Oohh that’s rich. That. Is. Rich.”
He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and said curtly, “So you’ve stooped that low already?”
Tetsuro’s grin turned sharp.
“You think the Oracle is going to whisper Nekoma’s weaknesses into your ear?”
Hajime sighed, “You can rest assured that it has nothing to do with the war.”
Tetsuro opened his mouth again—
“Chief.”
The interruption was quiet but firm.
Nobuyuki stepped forward from the shadowed edge of the courtyard, his calm demeanor
sharply contrasting his leader’s theatrics.
He stepped forward and inclined his head slightly toward Hajime.
“My apologies. The Head Chief can be… overbearing.”
Tetsuro scoffed but didn’t stop his advisor.
Nobuyuki’s calm eyes studied Hajime carefully.
“You’re asking for passage through the Blackroot Hollow to consult the Oracle?”
“Yes.”
“And you claim this has nothing to do with the war?”
“Yes.”
Nobuyuki folded his hands behind his back.
“Then naturally, Captain Iwaizumi… we must ask why.” His gaze sharpened slightly. “And
more importantly, what guarantees can you offer that this will not harm Nekoma.”
Hajime didn’t hesitate to answer.
“You control the largest information network in the empire.”
Nobuyuki’s expression didn’t change, but Tetsuro’s grin twitched with pride slightly.
Hajime continued. “You’ve had someone tailing me since the moment I entered Magusren Territory."
Nobuyuki didn’t deny it.
“You already know I haven’t been in contact with anyone.”
A quiet tension settled across the courtyard. Hajime met their eyes directly.
“I give you my word.”
Tetsuro leaned back slightly, arms crossing.
“Your word, huh…”
Nobuyuki glanced briefly toward the chief before looking back to Hajime.
“If your intentions are truly unrelated to the war.. then revealing them would not compromise
you.”
Hajime hesitated only for a moment.
“It concerns someone important to House Seijoh.”
That answer alone carried weight. He need not speak it loud to know who he was referring
to.
Nobuyuki considered it.
“You understand that allowing a rival house into Blackroot Hollow, the entirety of Magusren
even, carries risks.”
“I do.”
“And yet you still came alone.”
“Yes.”
Tetsuro eyed him the entire time.
Like a predator studying prey that refused to run.
Finally he stepped forward. The playful laziness was gone from his posture.
When he spoke again, his voice was quieter.
Sharper.
“You’ve got guts walking in here like this, Hajime.”
For a brief moment, the wind stirred his hair aside.
And his eyes glinted, almost yellow.
He looked like a hunter catching the scent of blood.
“But listen carefully.”
His smile returned, though it carried no warmth now.
“If you do anything stupid while you’re in my territory…” He leaned closer just enough for the threat to land clearly.
“I’ll make sure House Seijoh is removed from history.”
Hajime didn't flinch at the threat.
.....to be continued
Here's a small gift from me!
A baby excerpt from a fan fiction I'm writing set in an alternate universe.
Think, Seijoh as faes, Nekoma as sorcerers, Karasuno as reapers... as for the rest of the Haikyuu teams, well, please do look forward to the release of Conquer to find out.
First chapter will be uploaded in May on AO3 and Wattpad!
The recent Argentina VS Japan match reminded me of Haikyuu's Japan lineup during the 2020 2021 Olympics. It made me wonder who would have been selected for the roster in this year's 2024 Olympics.
Some players I'd add or change:
It'd be interesting to have Tsukishima amongst them regardless if Sendai Frogs rose to Division I or not. I'd like to see how much this salty baby moon has grown.
Don't forget the 'future ace' Goshiki. He doesn't have to be on the starting line-up but his ambition to surpass Ushijima would be a great driving factor for him to excel.
Remember that all-star match Furudate dropped on us for the 10th anniversary? Oikawa playing for MSBY made me want to see him raise the Japanese flag although impossible given that Olympic players must be Nationals of their representing country. Him being a naturalized Argentinian citizen makes that dream far-fetched. Sadly, dual citizenship is a no-no because Japan does not allow it.
Yaku once played for a Russion League and if they weren't banned to play in international matches, it'd be riveting to see him play against Kuroo's "team" instead of playing for it.
Lastly, I was under the impression that Meian was a star player so it was a surprise that he didn't make the Olympic player listing. And, if he was truly ambidextrous, he could utilize that with surprise off-hand hits and his tall stature would be an advantage as a middle blocker.
》《》《》《
the HQ Olymmpics roster should be
the same
changed (who would you replace?)
Voting ended onAug 14, 2024
》《》《》《
Side note: Argentina didn't even get a single win during the Paris Olympic preliminaries. I saw comments of HQ fans saying to check on poor Oikawa lol.
And Japan didn't make it past the quarterfinals :(
This line-up is amusing in its own right, and Mr. You-Shouldve-Come-to-Shiratorazawa must be beyond ecstatic to have the chance to spike Oikawa's precise setting.
These lot would certainly be a powerhouse given Ushijima's raw power and then combine that with Asahi's reliable spikes. They'll be a challenge to defend against from.
The Iron Giant and Goliath are in the same team?? Now, that's one formidable pair, especially when the rotation places them both in the front row. They'd be an arduous wall to conquer.
And Yaku, an elite libero and one of the best in the series, along with his amazing reading ability, will provide great support to the team.
Let's not forget our beloved Guess Monster and his impressive guess blocking abilities. Tendo would definitely be best friends with Oikawa, too.
And we all know this captain-setter would use his teams abilities to its full potential. Add to that his imposing serves and his noteworthy ability to make combo plays.
They'd certainly make a great offensive team with remarkable defenses.
But even so, it will not be an easy win given that below roster are still a force to be reckoned with.
I mean, I see at least 3 all-rounder players in this line-up, and all players are great receivers (Hinata becoming one eventually)
His magnificent prowess, leg strength and high jumps would help him surmount the giant walls of the opposing team.
And then there's Bokuto's notable line shots and sharp attacks. He's an ace for a reason.
Kageyama, our genius setter would make first-class plays, and you can bet he has superb control over his teams strings, like a skilled puppeteer.
Noya's agile movements makes him an astounding player as well. A true guardian deity.
Daichi, although not as tenacious as the rest of his teammates, has terrific game sense and is a consistent player. Have you seen his clean passes and impressive digs??
Iwa is also an overall solid player. His powerful spikes with the perfect timing is definitely a score-maker.
Kuroo, a jack of all trades, will butt heads with Oikawa since they both make exemplary service aces. Not only that but his blocking ability is impeccable.

Some headcanons for Haikyuu, starting off with our famed pairings (platonic or romantic, whatever you make of it) @crazyyanderefangirlfan this is for you 🌼
Fukurodani 🦉
Bokuto: This man can cook 3 star Michelin worthy dishes. He'd actually be able to point out the ingredients of a dish he has tasted for the first time. Food is all he'd talk about with Samu having forgotten Tsumu's existence when the Jackals hang out at Onigiri Miya.
Akaashi: we all know he's an intellectual lad, and sometimes the cogs of the brain just get stuck from time to time. To relax, he'd play the piano. A habit he's carried forward from childhood. I'd like to think his family owned a classic Bechstein at home. Just imagine his hands delicately tickle the ivories on a decades old piano.
Karasuno 🐦⬛
Kageyama: is a philanthropist. He donates a portion of his earnings as a pro-player and volunteers whenever he can. You'd see his photos feeding the less fortunate and teaching them volleyball circulate online but he'd never post it himself. A fine humble gentleman.
Hinata: he won't be a sunshine baby if his energy isn't as bright as his orange hair. He's as sweet as chocolate and warm as the sun. (He inspired Kags to do volunteer work) He'd collect trinkets like shells, fallen leaves, etc. He's definitely a boarding pass collector (think train passes, planes ferries etc)
Shiratorizawa 🦅
Ushijima: speaking of collecting, Mr. You-shouldve-come-to-shiratorizawa is an avid collector of sailing ship miniatures. The moment you enter his home you'll see his treasured collection right away, his largest ship hanging from the high ceiling of his living room. Even his gym space would have those wooden ships displayed on the wall.
Tendou: Okay, so he would've learned to speak French, and living in a country in Europe would've presented him many opportunities to tour around the continent. Of course, he'd have developed many friendships with the locals. (Hence why his chocolates sell out fast because his shop would be their first visit in France) I also bet you Ushi's ship collection that Tendo learned silly and cursed words in 200 different dialects in cursive Satori way.
Seijoh 🌿
Iwaizumi: The man could sing. He's someone who would write songs about his crush, an absolute romantic. He could play the guitar. He's a can-do-it-all, you'll-never-find-another type of man.
Oikawa: has dimples on both cheeks. One side is deeper, and the side that's shallower only shows when he grins happily. Also, he could dance. Elegantly. Not hip-hop dance but waltz. And I say this again. Bachata.
Nekoma 🐈
Kuroo: you think Oikawa is a flirt? This man is a male version of a clever minx. A smooth talker I say. He'd use his body stature and looks but still in respectful way. A clingy baby for sure
Kenma: I think this is a worldwide headcanon we can all agree on. He'd be a "sugardaddy." Not in an immoral way, but this man will buy you anything. You say in passing that a famed 5 star spa resort in Switzerland is pretty cool. Next thing you know, you're in his private jet flying over the Swiss alps.
rules: In a new post, show the last line you wrote and tag as many people as there are words (or as many as you feel like).
Sooo that would be this excerpt from ~Conquer~ a Haikyuu AU set in a fantasy world. The downfall of the Iaponian Empire.
"Your retribution demands the heads of your kin elders, and for every third decennium, your patriarchs shall perish."
This line connects the hows and the whys of the current timeline (where HQ characters are officially introduced) An eternal damnation caused by their predecessors' avarice.
Their initial remorse will turn to grudge. The crimsons of their hearts will become the same shade of ashes that they've burnt down.
Slowly, they will once again fall prey to the whispers of the demons lurking in the crevices of their tainted minds. Because history, as they say, tends to repeat itself.
Gahh! I want to say more, but I need to keep the spoilers minimal. I've got the exposition set up and have an idea for the ending, but why is it so damn hard to put them into words!!
This fanfic is still a work in progress, and my poor little noggin is currently operating with half of a brain cell lol. I'm not even certain when I can start posting kekeke.

Anyhow, tagging 4 @'s for the four empires in the land of Sekai @crazyyanderefangirlfan @darthferbert @cottonlemonade @lcvemiyuki ❣️
It's a bit chilly out, and a warm medium rooibos tea would be great if its still in the menu. I'll also take that to go please 🥺
Thank you!

Daichi sighed when he rebuttoned his shirt once again, trying his best to focus on fastening the buttons in the right hole this time.
When he brought a weary hand to his face he felt some stubble he apparently missed with this morning‘s shave. But as he checked the time he could only mutter a curse. He was already late.
About a year ago when you first met, Daichi had proudly proclaimed that he wanted to become a police officer and had bathed in the impressed look in your eyes. That look on your first proper date was possibly the thing he pictured the most as he was cramming over the mountains of work books preparing him for the exam. He had even kissed you for the first time when one night, as you helped him study, you had suggested to role-play scenarios he had to be ready for during training. You had pretended to be a moody youth resisting arrest, a seedy drug dealer who wouldn‘t give up his supplier and lastly a pretty lady who thought her looks would get her out of a ticket. Having obviously missed your calling by not becoming an actress, you had played them all to perfection. Daichi had a hard time even focusing on his course of action, when you batted your eyelashes at him and even - which had him swallow a lump in his throat - subtly pushed up your breasts to make the last scenario more convincing.
You had called him “officer Daichi“ and made one innuendo after another, until he finally broke and kissed you. You had teased him at first saying that if he was going to solve all his problems on patrol this way, you might have to get into a lot more trouble.
Back then it was already clear to him that he was either going to marry you or stay single for the rest of his life. He had sworn to himself that you would never come second. But now training had him in such tight grips that he hadn‘t been able to see you for two weeks already. Of course you didn‘t complain about it - you knew how important this was and assured him whenever he apologized for not doing better as your boyfriend.
But if he was honest, he wanted nothing more than sleep next to you. He didn‘t have the energy to go out for dinner and a romantic stroll afterwards like he promised. But. He promised. So of course he would stick to it.
As soon as you opened the door, Daichi began to apologize for being half an hour late. He winced inwardly when he saw you wearing pyjama shorts and a t-shirt with the word “police“ across the chest you had bought as a joke a while ago. You must have thought he was standing you up and changed back into something more comfortable. “I don‘t have a good excuse. I‘m so sorry, darling.“
You reached up to cup his cheek and got on your tiptoes to give him a kiss. He melted into your touch, wrapping his arms around your soft form, hugging you closely.
“I didn‘t get dressed up.“, you said once you parted and Daichi looked confused.
“I thought you‘d maybe like to stay in instead. Pizza is on the way, your favorite soda is chilling out in the fridge and I made a list of all the movies we talked about seeing recently so you can take your pick.“
He didn‘t know what to say, so he pulled you in for another tight hug, murmuring “I love you“ when he pressed a kiss to your temple.
He changed into comfortable sweats he kept in your apartment and together you snuggled up on the couch under a blanket, enjoying the hot cheesy pizza and ice cold sodas, laughing at the romantic comedy you ended up choosing. About halfway through the movie, you felt his head rest on your shoulder and soon giggled at your boyfriend‘s quiet snores. Making sure he was covered with the blanket you raised your pizza-free hand to play with his hair as you continued to watch the movie, just happy to be with him.

a/n: this was so soft to write, thank you for the request! I hope you enjoyed it ✨
In the olden days, the land of Sekai lay uninhabited.
With the guidance of a celestial guardian and the seers created in her image, the abundant land thrived, and henceforth, four powerful empires dwelled in every cardinal point. Each a formidable force in their respective realms.
The faraway lands of the eastern realm, under the guidance of Seer Aia, resided seven kingdoms. All granted autonomy per the Iaponian Empire's decree.
Each kingdom was ruled by the noble aristrocats of the most influential houses.
The faes of House Seijoh and the conjurors of House Inarizaki ruled the north.
The mighty hunters of House Shiratorizawa dominated the central lands and shared its borders with the united House of Karasuno.
The fearsome paladins of House Date controlled the east, whilst the southern principality was governed by House Fukurodani.
The last seat of the elites was reserved for the wise sorcerers of House Nekoma who presided over the western peninsula.
These seven kingdoms once lived in peace and prosperity, but human greed can not be satiated, and the once harmonious empire is now blanketed by a fierce scarlet air.
Synopsis for Conquer, a Haikyū AU series set in fantasy period.
