Venti x reader - Chapter 1
Warning - through out this story there might be mentions of sad memories and maybe some angst!
Hello! I'm so sorry I haven't been updating as much as I would like to. I've been mostly busy with other stuff involving school and other hobbies!
Not to worry soon I will have plenty of time to write more! Also thank you so much for the recent likes and reblogs! And thank you to the people who have followed me! I'm very excited to show you my work and stories! (≧∇≦)b
Lately I haven't had any ideas but I got inspired to write a venti x reader story! I hope you guys stay for more chapters and if this chapter gets somewhat popular and people like it then I will try my best to continue it!

"I think we're almost there malcom!" you say to your furry companion walking next to you
"Woof!" he shouts as he wags his tail looking at you
"Hmm alright I think this is it" you say as you stop in front of a bridge "Good morning Monstant!" you say as you storm towards the gate, malcom following close behind you
You stop in your tracks and turn around confused. As you do, you see a little boy looking at you annoyed while birds fly away
"U-um yes?" you ask in a curious and confused tone
"You can't just storm in like that! You scared the birds away!" he says pouting
"O-oh um I'm sorry" you say as you sheepishly scratch your hair
"Hmph I forgive you. Just don't do that ever again!" he says crossing his arms
"A-alright well I'll make sure not to do it again! I'll get going now" you say as you quickly turn around and continue on your way towards the gates of Monstant
"Woof!" malcom barks to you
"Yeah tell me about it, not a good first impression huh?" you say giggling
As you greet the guards and walk onto Monstant, you are immediately greeted by people walking all around and chatting away
"Whoa I didn't expect for it to be this chirpy" you continue walking while looking around, being met by multiple faces
As you walk further you stumble upon a dog who looks up at you curiously
"Aw well hello there boy! Malcom look! A new friend for you!" you say as you crouch down to the dog and gesture malcom to come closer
Malcom carefully walks towards the other dog, sniffing them slowly before playfully barking at them
Laughs "looks like there was no need for me to worry!" you quickly pet the dog and give it a treat before walking off
"Hmm let's try going to the tavern they have here and see if someone can tell us more about this place" you say to malcom as you happily skip towards the tavern
As you enter the tavern, you look around and see many faces. Two that catch your eye is a guy with long blue hair in a low ponytail and a long red haired guy that has his hair the same....except maybe more fluffier.
As you inspect them closer, you realize they are having a conversation but it doesn't seem to be going well
You decide to break the ice and walk over there, sitting next to the blue haired boy
The eye patch fellow seems to be a bit surprised by your sudden appearance
"Hello there, what can I get for you?" the red head says
"Hello! And I'll just have some apple juice thanks" you say smiling
He nods as he turns around and starts preparing your drink
"My my, you sure are the social one" the blue haired says to you with a smug smile
"Hmm well I've had many experiences meeting different kinds of people so this isn't really something new to me" you say smiling at the boy "what's your name? If you don't mind me asking"
"Oh my and very polite as well" he says before taking a sip of his wine "the names kaeya nice to meet you, what's yours?"
"Nice to meet you kaeya! My names Y/N" you say smiling
"Dear Lord kaeya, don't bother the poor thing" the red haired says as he hands you your drink "here you go"
"Haha it's no problem at all! Thank you!" you say nodding before taking a sip out of your juice "and what's your name if you don't mind me asking?"
"Oh.....mine?" the red haired asks a bit stunned by your forwardness "my names diluc"
"Nice to meet you diluc" you say cheekily as you take another sip of your juice
"If I may ask, you're not from around here are you? I've never seen you around here before" diluc asks while cleaning a cup
"Oh my, now who's the one bothering the poor girl now hm?" kaeya asks while resting his cheek on his hand and smirking towards diluc
"Quiet down kaeya, it's simply just a question" diluc says as he puts down the cup he was cleaning and folds his arms
"It's alright! And you're right actually I just arrived here with my dog Malcom" you say
"Dog?" diluc asks confused
"Yeah! Actually where is he hmm...he was here with me a second ago" you say as you look around the tavern for the furry beast
"You seem rather calm hm" kaeya asks while looking at you curiously
"Oh well it's not the first time he's gone off on his own actually. He's well trained as well so I don't get worried if I don't see him" you say as you keep looking around for him
Suddenly Malcom appears behind the counter where diluc is, barking cheerfully
Diluc takes a step back surprised
"Oh? Perhaps you didn't see him even tho he was right there with you?" kaeya asks diluc curiously
"Quiet, ahem...i actually didn't know he was right here besides me" diluc says as he looks away
"Malcom! come here boy!" you say as you sprint towards him and start petting him. "im sorry about that, I'm still training him to not do this in front of people we just meet"
"Not do this?" diluc asks confused
"Yeah well basically since he loves to go out on his own sometimes, I have trained him to hide and cover all his traces in case he's in trouble and can't fend for himself. Sadly I haven't had the time to train him to not do it in front of people we don't know to prevent from startleling them" you say as you give little tickles to Malcom
"Oh my, you must be quite the experienced traveler then I assume?" kaeyas says as he smiles and takes a sip of his wine
"Haha well I do love to travel when I can! Got to be prepared for what's out there you know?" you say smiling
"Indeed" diluc says (it's weird tho.....depending how long they have been traveling for, it might have gave them enough time to train their dog....but at the same time they look like they have been traveling for years now....would they have brought their dog with them if he wasn't fully trained?) diluc thinks to himself
"Hmm it seems our fellow diluc has passed away" kaeya says taking a sip of his wine
"I'm just merely keeping quiet, nothing strange about that" diluc says as he gives a small glare to kaeya
"Well it's never bad to think you know? Sometimes having a moment to ourselves is needed" you say as you start getting your things ready
"Oh? Leaving so soon?" kaeya asks with a bit of a sad tone
"Haha yes sadly for now. I want to go and get some food and take photos of the scenery since I've heard Monstant is truly beautiful at night time" you say as you walk towards the exit, gesturing Malcom to follow you
"How about I give you a meal on the house? You did just arrive here after all" diluc offers
"Oh no it's alright really! I like getting food for myself and cooking it. Part of the journey you know?" you say smiling
"Hmm well alright. My offer still stands in case you want a free meal some day" diluc says
"My oh my, my dearest brother offering a free meal? Now where is this sort of attitude towards me?" kaeya asks to diluc with a sad teasing tone
"Shut it" diluc says to kaeya
You giggle as you open the door to the tavern "thanks for the drink diluc! And thanks for keeping me company kaeya. See you guys later!" you say as you walk out of the tavern with a small wave
"Hmm indeed let us meet again" kaeya says taking another sip of his wine
"Hmm what a strange traveler" diluc says as he starts cleaning another cup
"Hmm? Is my dearest brother perhaps taking an interest towards them?" kaeya questions
"Leave" diluc remarks as he continues cleaning his cup
As you leave the tavern and take a deep breath, you look up at the sky and realize it has gotten night time. The deep wind blowing your hair with a gentle breeze
"Alright! Let's head over to wind rise and look for some food and take pictures! Let's also camp for the night there if it seems safe" you say to Malcom as you start excitedly skipping towards windrise
Malcom barks and follows you
As you slowly start arriving towards wind rise, you hear a faint calming melody
"Huh? What's that noise? Is someone playing music this late at night?" you say as you walk closer towards the soothing sound
You actually really liked music and though it always sounded so beautiful, especially at night time
As you walk closer and closer towards the sound, you spot a boy who represents a bard with blueish braids sitting on top of a tree playing a lyre
You stop in your tracks and Stare at the bard, completely intranced with his calming melody
The wind calmly blows his hair as you swear blueish spirits surround him, almost as if they are common with him
You sit down on the soft grass below you and continue to listen to his melody, putting a command on you to keep you slightly hidden in order to not disturb the male, Malcom looks at you before laying down besides you and looking at the bard
After a bit, the bard stops playing his lyre and After gently touching the blue spirits he quickly turns his head and looks at you surprised
"O-oh!" you say as you shake out of your trance and get up quickly "I'm so sorry! I was coming over here to get food and take pictures when I heard your beautiful melody and wanted to listen a bit more!" you say as you stare at the male worried
And this is where I leave this chapter to! I hope you guys like it so far! To clear some things up - no diluc will not fall in love with the reader in any way! They might get comfortable with each other but no feelings will grow! The reader dosent have a set gender and I would like to keep it that way if I can! If I do go off and add a she or he please ignore it! Or tell me so I can fix it! The reader (from what we know so far) is a traveler traveling with their dog named Malcom. From what we have read, they have some special tricks they can do! More will be revealed about this as the story goes on! Kaeya will not fall in love with the reader butttt he might be a bit of an antagonist in this story I guess?? That's about it! Please do support this story by liking it and re blogging it!
