controversial opinion but bringing characters back from the dead is fine and doesn't cheapen the existence of death and mortality if there are sufficient emotional and narrative consequences. i'm talking guilt, i'm talking lingering resentment and grief, i'm talking rejection from those who've already begun to move on, i'm talking complicated feelings about being returned to a life you departed from without grace or preparation without your consent and now have to deal with the fallout of, i'm talking repressed feelings that cannot be acknowledged without hurting everyone involved, because you can bring back what was lost but what happened cannot be undone. and that's why i could fight marvel studios and win.

its definitely more subtle but something I feel like we don’t really talk about is how aisha has a personality shift similar to hawk’s once she joins cobra kai. she goes from seeming pretty meek and nerdy to standing up for herself and being more bold and adventurous and she isn’t as hardcore about erasing her older self and being a badass like hawk is, she’s more levelheaded, but she stops taking shit from sam people and speaks up more confidently and really just blossoms <3

you’re exactly right about how Miyagi-Do wouldn’t have helped Aisha much. No Be There would do nothing to help Aisha or stop her bullies - because they bullied her when she wasn’t physically there at all. They bullied her from the comfort of their own homes from their laptops/phones.

Aisha’s interpretation of ‘strike first’ as setting her own terms and being in control of her own story, assertiveness without assholery was just lovely. and I love that for her.

Oh Aisha my beloved, truly the most level-headed of the kids. It’s why she had to be moved to santa barbara. none of this drama would be happening of Aisha was around to talk sense into people!
