I have a weird question, but where do you headcanon Lily comes from? Like which part of UK?
not a weird question at all! I generally prefer to HC her as northern, but more specifically I often like to write her as being from a suburb of Manchester! I haven’t decided which football team to have her support though, so if there are any Mancunians around, do you think she’d go Man U or Man City or other ???

It absolutely is fascinating and aside from my own interests (I am and have always been a huge Hull City fan), I find the whole situation of how the success of traditionally lower league teams is intrinsically linked to the communities they’re based around and times of success/hardship in each seem to mirror each other a really good insight into class and culture in the UK generally (and northern England specifically). It isn’t even just about the football at that point, the clubs themselves are so culturally significant to the actual places and people who live there. And of course that does still exist with the bigger, more internationally recognised teams but (in my opinion) in a less prevalent way as they’re less reliant on gate money from fans buying tickets, etc as they have tv money and merchandise streams, etc. Anyway I could literally talk for hours on this but yeah, I think Lily’s more of a Bury girl🤷🏼♀️
