About that GotG Easter Egg
So James Gunn apparently hid a huge Easter Egg in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. In the four years since the movie came out, nobody has managed to figure out what its supposed to be, and James has said he plans to take it to his grave unless someone finds it.
There's also word that the Avengers 4 title is a line from one of the previous MCU movies (Infinity War not included).
The timelines don't match up, especially considering the MCU Phase 3 reveal took place in October 2014 and Guardians was released in July 2014. Also considering how Infinity War was originally Part 1 and Part 2.
BUT
Is it possible that following the Phase 3 reveal, Marvel decided to change the Avengers 4 title to something else. And is it also possible that this "something else" is a line from Guardians of the Galaxy? Anyone know when Gunn began talking about the Easter Egg?
Did a thingy
I'm shocked that nobody seems to have spotted the Silver Shamrock masks in the new Halloween movie. They were in the trailers and everything.
Commision for @chellysplace . Thank you once again sooooo much for commissioning me!! Such a pleasure :) <3
Featuring David and Chelly :) Such lovely Ocs!
Just gonna reblog and tell you a little bit about these OCs I commissioned from @akanedraws
His name is David Allen-McConnell.
Her name is Michelle Christine Allen, although she’ll probably claw your eyes out if you call her anything but “Chelly”
Put up for adoption as an infant, David had no clue his sister even existed until about a year ago. Because of their radically different life experiences, the two are about as far apart as anyone can get.
He’s a world class photojournalist whose work has helped to expose corruption in the local government and forced numerous string pullers into the spotlight. Completely aware of his reputation and just a little full of himself David is more than confident in his abilities, and isn’t afraid to show off in hopes of impressing whatever cute girl happens be nearby. A womanizer and a kind of a prick, David has no shortage of enemies around the city, ranging from disgraced judges and councilmembers to angry boyfriends who’s girlfriend he slept with. At the end of the day, however, David knows the importance of his work is and will quickly drop everything to seek out the truth if he smells a story that needs to be told. When discussing David, it’s not uncommon to hear the words “pretentious” ”social climber” or “asshole”,
She’s a kid with deep-seated emotional issues after watching their parents be murdered right in front of her and being betrayed/left behind by almost every important figure in her life. After their deaths, Chelly’s life spiraled more and more out of control, leading her to seek out companionship among much less than reputable crowds. After losing her arm to several stray bullets during a gunfight, she fell into a deep depression, a slump she only climbed out of when a friend of hers (arguably Chelly’s only real one in the world) “borrowed” an advanced prosthetic from one of the most powerful corporations on the planet. Although the operation to attach the arm was a success, her friend had to run away and disappear from the face of the earth to escape the company. The trauma of all these events, combined with the terrible losses over the years have left her emotionally stunted and in a perpetual state of childlike giddiness. Today, when not working on tailoring clothes (a hobby of hers she turned into a small business), Chelly can be most commonly found wandering around the city, climbing on top of just about any statue, street light, tree or street pole she can find. Because of her love for climbing atop just about anything in sight, she hardly ever wears shoes, walking barefoot around the city, with only a pair of foot wraps protecting her feet.
After learning that he was adopted, David went on a mission to find his long lost sister, and travelled all around town in search of answers. After a lengthy personal investigation, David finally tracked her down, and introduced himself to her. Despite his insistence that they were related, Chelly hardly took it seriously until a blood test proved his claims. Immediately, she latched on to him. Emotionally, and physically.
Although he very much loves his little sister, it’s incredibly difficult to hit up girls at the bar with Chelly constantly calling him over to show him the “little swimmy buddies” she’s been talking to in the fishtank.
David: *Talking with a cute girl sitting next to him. He’s very nearly got her right where he wants her and is about to go in for the kill* "So do you maybe wanna get out of here? Have a drink in a more ‘private’ setting? Maybe my place?" Chelly: "David! I made friends! Come see! They’re making little bubbles!” *proceeds to continue making faces at the little fish swimming in the tank* Girl: "Who IS that? How does she even know your name?" David: "That’s uhm... That's my... sister..."
[A/N: I’ve been working on creating a webcomic featuring these two and the other characters in my cover photo, so a lot of details have been left out in the name of not spoiling the storylines I’ve been working on for about six months. Hopefully they’ll make more sense in the future :) ]
Its 3:30 am
I should be sleeping but I'm making memes instead.
End me.

Reblogging to get another entry cuz Caza's work is top notch <3
Loki should probably stop carrying that title lol
I think I know how Black Panther 2 is going to deal with the aftermath of Infinity War. Specifically M'Baku.
So in most incarnations of M'Baku/White Gorilla/Man-Ape, he is full on villain. In at least one version, he's responsible for murdering T'Chaka and usurped power of Wakanda.
Knowing this, I was pretty confused why Black Panther decided to make him a good guy and an ally to the King. After seeing Infinity War and the effects of The Snap, I think I know where they're going with him.
Check out this scene. You'll notice that almost every one of the people disappearing are members of the Jabari Tribe, aka M'Baku's clan. These are his brothers dying right before his eyes and he's powerless to stop it. You also might notice how they focus directly on M'baku at the end, showing us his reaction.
We know that M'Baku already has personal reservations about working with T'Challa, based on the line "You are the first King to come here in centuries, and you speak about 'us'?".
It's heavily implied that the main reason he decided to help the King retake Wakanda is because it's in the Jabari Tribe's best interest.
In Black Panther, T'Challa says "We both know the power of Vibranium. If Kilmonger gets his hands on it, who do you think he will come for next?"
Knowing M'baku's (and the Jabari as a whole) ideaology of "We've made it this far on our own. We don't need help and we don't want to help you." it makes sense.
In Infinity War, we saw the Jabari help Wakanda's Army fight off Thanos' outriders, and we all know how that went.
I imagine that seeing his brothers die will have a huge impact on M'Baku, and maybe cause him to resent the Black Panther entirely.
After all, it was T'Challa who asked him to come help fight. It was T'Challa's decision to fight that wound up getting many Jabari killed for a battle they ended up losing anyway. T'Challa is responsible for the Jabari Tribe's fall. T'Challa got his brothers killed.
At least that's how I imagine he would perceive the situation.
After all, it's not entirely incorrect. I don't think the Jabari would have been at the Battle of Wakanda had the King not asked. It might turn M'Baku bitter and destroy his faith in T'Challa's ability to rule. As far as we know, M'Baku doesn't know what's at stake, in terms of the Infinity Stones.
I can't say for certain though. They say Avengers 4 will change the MCU as a whole, so there's a lot that has yet to be revealed.
Thoughts?

I did a thing.
People say Natasha Romanoff has no character or depth, but I think they're dead wrong. Natasha Romanoff has lived an entire life of lies, betrayal and murder. She wears so many different faces that I believe that she herself has even begun to forget who she is. Each face she wears is a layer of protection against a world full of people she's been taught to distrust. There's a moment in Winter Soldier where Alexander Pierce tells her that by dumping all of SHIELDs files onto the internet, she'll be exposing herself to the world; there won't be any more masks for her to hide behind. And she hesitates. She pauses because she realizes that she's destroying every layer of protection she worked so hard to build and maintain over the years. Decades of wearing masks have led up to her true face being on every computer screen out there. Her relationship with Hawkeye is also an interesting aspect of the MCU. Clint was sent to kill her, and put an end to her reign as the world's deadliest assassin. Yet when the time came to put her down, he couldn't force himself to. He saw something in her. Maybe he saw himself. Maybe a glimmer of fear. Maybe a tiny shred of goodness hidden under all that blood on her hands. Clint took her in, and showed her that there are some genuinely good people in the world. People who WON'T betray you at the tip of a hat and who can actually be relied on when you need them most. A lesson Natasha has never forgotten, and treasures to this day. I also absolutely adore the big brother/little sister dynamic she has with Steve. People ship them all the time, but I honestly feel like they do much better as siblings who found each other in the least likely people. Natasha has this generally unseen tenderness when she's around Steve. She comforts him at Peggy Carter's funeral, and even helps Steve escape when being chased by the Black Panther, despite knowing it would likely cost her everything. Steve Rogers and Clint Barton are the only people on earth who Natasha feels completely comfortable with; enough to wear her true face around. Natasha Romanoff looks in the mirror and sees a monster glaring back at her. A monster that nobody else can see, because they're all infatuated with her outside appearance. This is why she bonded with Bruce Banner, and even wanted to run away with him. Every other member of the 2015 iteration of the Avengers team was seen as a celebrity by the public. Steve is a legendary war hero, Thor is a literal God, Tony is a celebrity who CHOSE to be a superhero. Yet, these two are the ones nobody spoke about or put the spotlight on. The monster, and the assassin. When the world can't see you for anything but the terrible things you've done, it's natural to seek out people who know what it's like. I honestly can't wait for the Black Widow movie, and I hope to God we see more of Clint and Natasha. (Seriously tho, Steve and Natasha are so cute as siblings and I love how much they trust each other.)
Hugely controversial opinion, so watch out I think Thanos is a much better character than the Ledger Joker. Hear me out. Thanos is much more developed and is greatly portrayed (especially for a character that has one movie to live up to 6 years of hype). In fact, I would personally argue that Infinity War is Thanos' movie more than anyone. We learn why he wants to collect the stones and what caused him to be this way. What his reasoning is. In fact, a lot of people were shocked that Thanos wasnt a cold, heartless, mindless monster. He had a genuine soft side to him (mostly demonstrated during his scenes with Gamora) where he showed us that, in spite of being the most feared figure in the Universe, he deeply cared for the few people he loved. Even if his love was demonstrated in terrible ways. Thanos is a great character, in my opinion. He's intimidating and threatening, but he's also passionate about what he feels NEEDS to be done. The best antagonists are the ones who truly believe at their core, that what they are doing is right. Thanos is a perfect example of this. Now let's talk about the Joker. I know I said that Thanos is the better character, but the Joker is a better villain. Personally, I consider a villain to not just be the antagonist of a story, but to be a malicious person/being that objectively NEEDS to be stopped for the greater good. Villains might not believe what they're doing is right, but a lot of the time, they don't care. Villains aren't meant to be relatable. They're meant to be bad. If the storys antagonist isn't a good character, then make them a terrifying force. The Joker is a perfect case of a terrifying, self described "unstoppable force". He doesn't care if he's right or wrong. He doesn't care if he kills hundreds of people. The only thing he cares about is proving that any person on the planet can be pushed to insanity if they have just one bad day. Hes a total mystery, and we're left questioning if even HE knows where he came from. A monster that will not stop until everything around him is just as ugly and twisted as he is. Why? We will never know. The only thing we know for sure is that the Joker needs to be put down. So, yes. Thanos is a much better character, however, the Joker is a far greater villain. People constantly compare the two because they're both comic book movie antagonists, but the truth is that they're totally different types of antagonist. To compare the two is apples and oranges.
this is gonna be an extremely unpopular opinion so bare with me, but i don’t think children should be vaccinated unless they really absolutely want to be and if they grow up into adults who still don’t want to be vaccinated then so be it.
kids are too young to fully grasp what vaccination does to you, and i don’t mean that in a “they’ll make you autistic and die” way. i mean they don’t understand what they’re setting themselves up for in the future. (shots are pretty traumatic for children too, but that’s for another day.) if a child is too young to consent to sex or medical transition if they’re trans, they’re definitely too young to consent to a vax.
i haven’t had any contact with my family for quite some time now, so i have a hard time knowing my medical history, especially with my lack of health insurance and a move to a different country.
because of that, i live with the constant fear that i might have been vaccinated against rabies. my family was extremely poor and had spotty health insurance but its hard to say. but its fucking heartbreaking to know i might never be fully rabid because my parent might have vaccinated me as a child, when i was too young to know, too young to have a say in it.
how many other kids are there, just like me? how many adults have grown up miserable because they’ve been vaccinated against their genetic disposition for a certain disease? its practically eugenics and it makes me fuckin sick to my stomach. there are babies RIGHT NOW getting vaxxed bc “thats what’s healthy for them” and their parents have no idea how much grief they’re causing right now.
so yea, maybe stop vaxxing your kids??
at first i was like “yeah okay this a dumb but manageable take” and then op went for the rabies thing and my soul left my body
everyday this site drags us further and further away from the will of God and into madness and destruction
What corner of hieronymus Bosch hell did this come from
Where’s my post about being confused about how great civilizations fall into the dark ages and then looking around me living in 2018 cause this post is proof of that lmao
If you didn’t go to their blog, you’re missing the best part:
My Rabies Story
My Story:
I have always had a particular closeness to the concept of rabies and identified as rabioromantic before my diagnosis. I decided for the sake of my mental health I would become infected.
This past year I met a girl online who was born with rabies said she could infect me. We met up this past June and, excuse the tmi, took part in BDSM sex. She bit me really hard on the shoulder until I bled and I’ve had rabies ever since.
I refuse to go to a doctor as they tend not to understand rabios/virosexuals, so pleas don’t ask me to.
Does this mean you’re going to die soon?:
Short answer, no. Contrary to belief, rabies doesn’t actually kill you. I’m in the incubation period atm so I have no symptoms. Everyone experiences rabies differently and I could potentially live a full happy life. For example the girl who bit me was born with rabies and hasn’t died yet.
Are you going to infect other people?
Not unless they really want to. I currently curb my biting impulses by biting into raw steaks so I’m fine and safe to be around. (x)
This is the kind of stuff that you have to laugh at or you’ll go insane.
When I said I was so desensitised to Tumblr I couldn’t be shocked anymore, I didn’t mean it as a challenge
I’ve entered the twilight zone, that’s the only explanation
I’m in hell, aren’t I.
@cerulean-shark @hope-filled-artist @rosengreen and anyone else in my silm discord.
Look at this shit.
Stay in school, kids
….
Just some clarifications for my own followers:
1. The rabies vaccine isn’t normally given to humans preventatively, it’s usually given after exposure. Also, there’s a very hard time-limit in which you have to get the vaccine, or you will die. If you suspect you’ve been bitten by a rabid animal, get vaccinated right away, don’t wait until you “feel sick” because at that point, it’s probably too late and you’re going to die.
2. Rabies will absolutely kill you, there is only 1 known case of someone surviving rabies, and doctors have no idea exactly HOW she survived because every possible treatment (both known and experimental) was thrown at her and somehow she survived.
Rabies if fucking terrifying, I don’t have a phobia of it and it’s fairly rare for humans to be exposed, but fuck. That shit will kill you, and it will kill you UNPLEASANTLY.
Oh look! My first crazy Tumblr reblog :D
Kids, rabies is bad. It's not fun
You know who needs a backstory- No, i take it back. Needs a personality? D.Va D.Va has absolutely no lore of her own - not counting the one paragraph on the wiki that says shes a StarCraft Pro (which I hear they retconned) No comics, no animated shorts, no relationship with any of people in Overwatch or Talon that I know of. She's kind of just... There. Want me to be brutally honest? She's got almost no personality. Almost every voice line of hers is "Gamer Talk", most of which, you'd never ever hear someone say in real life (or even in games, now that I think about it) so it makes her feel like a gimmick than a character. Compare D.Va to... I don't know... Tracer. What do we know about Tracer's personality? She's virtuous beyond words (almost to a fault), has a naive outlook on the line between good and evil (then again, most of the OW world does). Shes confident, loves inspiring others to be heroes, can get the job done, but would rather have fun. She's just happy to be there, even if it means she has to fight. Lena knows what Overwatch stood/stands for to people all over the world, and makes it her mission in life to live up to that ideal. D.Va? There's not much. She's a gamer, she's got great reflexes and she's cocky. That's about it. Because we've got so few genuine character traits (or moments) shown to us, and because we've got no stories featuring her to highlight what she's really like when not on the battlefield, and because her interactions with other heroes are minimal at best, we have a severely one dimensional character that feels borderline fanservice. In fact, most of the other Heroes don't even have much to say about or to her, and their interactions tend to be comprised of her saying/replying with another "Gamer talk" quote. I would love to know more about her, but as it is, D.Va just feels very one note. She's a gamer. She's got a mech. That's all. I want to know more, and as the only original Overwatch hero to still not appear in her own story - outside of maybe Zenyatta, but I'm not sure - she definitely deserves it. D.Va needs a personality of her own and deserves to be more than a "QT gamer gril gf" for people to drool over.
Its been three years and people are STILL whining about how Claire/Bryce Dallas Howard outran the Tyrannosaur in Jurassic World. Ive heard people say it “ruined the movie for them” unironically. As if this singular scene ruined the entire two hour movie experience for them.
Today I’m going to put that to rest, using nothing but whats been shown in the movies.
First things first, we know that Rexy can run “32 miles an hour”. This is stated by John Hammond himself in the first Jurassic Park movie. What he DOESNT say is how long it takes her to reach that speed. In the scene where she chases Malcolm holding the flare she’s not running fast, but we can definitely see she's gaining speed. This means that it must take her a couple of seconds to hit full speed.
“Oh but she kept up with a speeding Jeep!”. Yes, but at the beginning of the chase, when Malcolm says “Must go faster!”, we can very clearly see that Rexy's in the dust, but catching up at an alarming rate. Just like almost every animal ever, Rexy requires time to hit her top speed.
Next, look at this scene where Claire is running into the Innovation Center with the kids and Owen. Look at how fast she’s going. That’s a full on sprint in the exact same high heels she wears in the infamous scene. This means that - for whatever reason - Claire can run at an impressive speed in her heels and not trip/fall/eat the dirt.
Finally, look at the scene where the gate opens, revealing a Pteranodon attacking a group of guests. Notice anything in the background? That’s the Spinosaurus skeleton that Rexy breaks through while making her entrance. In the very same scene, we see a large door to the right. That would Paddock 9 aka Rexy's Home.
So now we know three things:
-Claire Dearing can sprint in her heels very well
-Rexy needs time to reach her full speed (and clearly hasn’t yet based on how slow her feet are moving when following Claire)
-Paddock 9 is 50 feet (at most) away from where Claire was leading her.
Basically, Claire sprinted about 50 feet (something she's been shown doing) with Rexy behind her, gaining speed as she always has needed to.
There.
Can we declare (deCLAIRE) this annoying nitpick extinct now?
