Cersei lannister isnt brat bc to b brat u must display self awareness re: ur flaws and self destructive tendancies whilst continuing to engage w them a la charli xcx party 4 u or apple. Its not enough to b seen as rash mean or otherwise unlikable u have to b aware of it to embody brat and cerseis lack of self awareness is exactly why she is the way she is and its why we got to affc even. Which is also why stannis baratheon Is brat

the fact that for 150+ years the owner of the peglar papers has been subject to rigorous debate and it was pretty well acknowledged that it probably wasn’t peglar and now we know with certainty that it was actually peglar the whole time, just wearing someone else’s clothes, is SO FUNNY—

Timothee Chalamet was right we should abolish opera if only because the Met Opera HD recording took me 5.5 hours today to set up and recover and still didn't work properly. I tried across 3 laptops, 2 USBs, 3 separate downloads of the file, and 2 diffrent projectors. Bloomberg providing tech support when I get to you 🔪🔪🔪🔪. Also why the ever loving fuck instead of using a pre-established system did the Met and RCN choose to use a broadly untested reception box exclusive to them instead of anything used before???

Happyend (2024) dir. Neo Sora
I think seeing Raye live healed me partially. Cannot express the debt I owe to THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE over the past few months. Knew and was still devastated that Goodbye Henry. wasn't on the setlist and wish The WhatsApp Shakespear. was played. But seeing I Will Overcome., Joy., and The Winter Woman. live???? Phenomenal. The energy during WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!- unmatched. While Click Clack Symphony. is my favorite track off the album it sadly does need the full symphony backing live for maximum impact.
gay people on boats alignment chart. if you care
correct!!!!!
The worst crime of "Wuthering Heights" (2026) is that it is fundamentally boring.
the booth sound system broke today, fuck my shift from hell, sometimes I don't understand why I still work as a projectionist
following up on this to ask who the fuck nominated F1 for best sound mixing this year?????? if you don't work in a theater with like an IMAX sound system that shit is atrocious and will contribute to loss of hearing
Today, on my soapbox, I want to complain about one of my Frankenstein adaptational pet peeves (in light of seeing GDT's adaptation in theaters) and it's the incessant need they have to pathologize Victor's dad. In the novel, he's just a guy, in fact, a guy who is pretty sympathetic to and supportive of Victor and his pursuits. And it's not the absence of adaptational fidelity that grind my gears, but that this choice always makes the narrative less thematically cogent. Victor finds the creature repulsive because of the creature's appearance and because he can't handle the weight of his responsibility in the creature's creation, he sees himself as divorced from the consequences of his actions. It's about the scope of Victor's hubris (it's in the title of the book, it's Shelley invoking the myth of Prometheus). But when adaptations start pathologizing Victor's dad, suddenly it isn't about Victor's vanity or hubris, but, instead largely a narrative that implies Victor treats the creature with cruelty because "he has daddy issues :(" which cheapens the overall story. Those two narrative choices do not portray the same damning portrait of Frankenstein. In fact, I think daddy issues inadvertently absolves him in a way, implying Victor would have taken responsibility and been kinder in a counter-factual world in which his dad was nice. Which isn't true, it misses the point. In the novel, Victor is well loved and successful and still embarks on this quest because of un-restrained privilege. And it boggles me that in an adaption where the director specifically outlines how much Victor is a result of his societal privilege (the updated Elizabeth storyline is perfect for this) we are still for some reason doing this.
no ramin djawadi score for a knight of the seven kingdoms... i'm devastated...these are sad times indeed...
