This is a writing blog for chinchilla-7 ! To check out request status along with what fandoms I write for, be sure to check out my pinned post! Writer is 23+!
Hi, I’m Chinchilla! I really love writing, so this is a great place for me to put all of my snippets.
Reblogs mean a heck of a lot to me and help me out a bunch! If you like my stuff, consider reblogging!
This is a place for me to write stuff that interests me. This may include some canon character x reader content, but also may include stuff like poetry, ocs of my own, world building, whatever. This is a place for me to put stuff that I'm writing. And what I'm writing changes from this to that.
This all being said, I still allow people to send in their own requests. I just may not write for it. Right now, requests are OPEN
Below are fandoms I write for/am interested in:
Fandoms I write for:
Call of Duty
Criminal Minds
Dead by Daylight
Detroit: Become Human
Obey me Shall we Date
Overwatch 2
The Twilight Saga
DO’s:
Headcanons
Short Fics
Reader Inserts (will be gender neutral unless specified)
Character Ships
Poly Ships (including the reader)
Specific Gender Characters (i.e. Non-Binary!Reader or Trans!Cassidy, etc.)
NSFW content ranging from suggestive to explicit
Darker themes (dub-con, murder, etc.)
No minors interacting with/requesting anything 18+ - please have your age in bio if interacting with/requesting 18+ content.
My rule is that you can ask for anything, but that doesn't mean I'll do it. I do have things I won't write for, and that will be specified as time goes on.
Finally, please give me time to answer your requests. Some requests will come out quicker than others for a couple different reasons: my availability, my interest in the prompt, headcanons are easier to write than fics, etc. I hope to answer the requests within the week, so if I don’t, feel free to send a follow up ask afterwards.
Thanks so much for reading this post! Check out my writing tag to see what I've written already.
To all my writers who have a tough time with smut terms and not knowing which ones to use, I have found the holy grail for us.
This reddit user took a poll of 3,500 people and went really in depth with asking their favorite terminology, along with actual pie charts on what the readers preferred to see in their smut.
Here's the direct link to the Google doc with all the info!
Ao3 does not need a 1-5 star rating system, you just want to bring down authors writing for FREE
Ao3 does not need automatic censorship, it is an archive, therefore anything can be posted
Writing or reading about something illegal does not mean the author nor the reader condones it, if that were true, you could never read a story involving anything negative
Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying
i feel like people forget that sometimes characters in fic are written like that because it's a reflection of real life.
people have sex without setting boundaries. people have unprotected sex without talking about their sexual histories or producing recent sti tests. people play with kink without discussing it ahead of time or establishing a safeword. they have anal without 'enough' prep or lube—they may even prefer it like that.
and none of this is really a fantasy. it's all pretty normal. you can feel that it's inappropriately normalised, and you'd probably be right! but it is normalised: one study found that 58% of female undergraduate students on the campus studied had been choked during sex. 20% of those students said that they'd never been asked if it was ok; another 30% said they'd only sometimes been asked if they consented. fully half! (non-paywalled journal article on choking during sex here, including these numbers.) despite a rise in stis of all sorts, condom use is declining. (pdf link to the full text of this study about declining condom use in the us; aidsmap article about an australian study with similar results.)
even when people do talk about things—sex or anything else—they communicate imperfectly. 'yeah, but don't go too far' is consenting and setting a boundary, and also relying that the person you're talking to has the same metric for 'too far' that you do. for some people, 'the trash needs to go out' is a neutral, factual observation; for others, it's a request that the person they're speaking to take out the trash.
even when people understand each other perfectly, people react unpredictably to things sometimes! we behave irrationally! people laugh uncontrollably at funerals, or get angry at the straw that broke their back rather than the enormous load they were already carrying. they get scared and lash out at people trying to help them. when hurt, most people do not instinctively reach for therapy-approved grounding exercises and 'i feel' statements.
pretty much any bad choice that characters could conceivably make is a choice that people make in real life, on purpose, all the time. people do things that can have catastrophic, life-changing effects because it felt like a good idea at the time, or they're leaning into the vibe, or they just didn't think about it all that much, or an infinite number of other reasons.
fiction isn't intended as a guide on the best, safest, and most responsible ways to live your life, and fanfic isn't any different. it's not a narrative flaw to let characters do things that are messy or harmful or downright stupid—it's a reflection of what people are actually like, and not something that authors should feel they have to apologise for.
i am obsessed, in the most derogatory way possible, with the people in the notes who are reading this post and then saying, well, those stats you're pointing at are why you have to make it clear in fiction that they've had a conversation about Consent And Safety. if you don't tell people to use condoms, if you don't tell people that it's not ok to choke someone without prior consent, if you don't tell people that they have to do these things Correctly, you're part of the problem.
so i will say it again: fiction is a reflection of life, but it is not real life. fiction does not have to set a good example. fiction does not have to be safe, sane, or consensual.
fiction isn't intended as a guide on the best, safest, and most responsible way to live your life. if you read it looking for that, you are the problem.
I don't know if I need you to tell you this but Jesus was alive 2 thousand years ago during the Roman Empire
3 thousand years ago the Mediterranean and Middle East were recovering from the bronze age collapse. None of the philosophers of Western philosophy (or Eastern for that matter) were born yet
Earliest writing dates roughly to 5 thousand years ago.
Agriculture started roughly 10 thousand years ago
So yes, you can write whatever you like but if you're telling me that an individual dynasty has been ruling since 8000 years ago (HOLA JORGE) I have to wonder if they even had writing back then
I feel like the only reason this makes sense in the Tolkien universe is because of elves and other beings that live an absolutely insane amount of time
Full offense but your writing style is for you and nobody else. Use the words you want to use; play with language, experiment, use said, use adverbs, use “unrealistic” writing patterns, slap words you don’t even know are words on the page. Language is a sandbox and you, as the author, are at liberty to shape it however you wish. Build castles. Build a hovel. Build a mountain on a mountain or make a tiny cottage on a hill. Whatever it is you want to do. Write.
I don’t know who is out there telling y'all not to do these things but they should be taken out behind the woodshed and shot. I heard the same dumb advice when I was young and it pains me to see it still going around.
Only you can write like you. There’s no shame in copying or parodying while trying to find your style; we all do it. It’s like trying on a new outfit. But you don’t wear the same outfit as the mannequin at the store, you assemble your own outfit. If you’re really gung-ho, you tailor your clothes to be flattering to specifically you. Apply the same principle to your writing.
you’ve ruined him with this tenderness. his cheeks burn almost unbearably, his eyes blur with unshed tears and his breaths leave his lips in uneven gasps. undressed, unraveling under your deft fingers and incoherent with lust. what a pathetic sight he must make. unyielding pride all too eager to dissipate in your presence, he feels far too vulnerable and all too seen. you were terrible for him.
feeling you pressed up close like this, feeling every breath and brush of your lips against warmed skin, to bear witness to the intoxicating curl of your lips and the mischievous gleam in your eyes - he’s lived for thousands of years and nothing else has made him feel more mortal than this. oh, you were more demon than him. pride that pins and pricks at him but settles wonderfully in you. he supposes you’d always worn it better than he ever could ever hope to.
a scrape over the tender spot at the base of his neck dislodges the breathy moan he’d been withholding, and he can just about feel the way your lips twist wicked in response, “you know how insatiable i am, don’t you, lucifer?”
he meets your eyes, half-lidded as they peer up at him. he knows. of course, he knows. much like how he knows the twists and turns of the house, like how he knows each and every pattern and groove in the ceiling of his bedroom, like how he knows of the darkness that resides within him. he drowns in it. and still, he indulges. if you are insatiable, he must be far worse.
eyes keeping yours, heat burning and heart pounding, he musters, “do with me as you please.”
BTW i see these posts all the time like "ohhh i dont know what to comment on fics.." and every response is "keysmashes! or hearts!! anything works :3" and thats GREAT!! thats helpful!!
but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?
genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.
LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.
Summary: Carlisle and Esme plan a trip for just the two of them.
Word Count: 940
For @morgandrawssstuff as part of the @twilight-secret-gift-exchange
There was quiet in the Cullen residence. A state that didn’t often occur. Save for the soft ticking of a clock, some fumbling of papers, and hushed words shared, the Cullen’s house was currently a place of peace.
Carlisle and Esme took the day off, something they didn’t often indulge. But after a few too many times of coming home stressed, they both agreed that something must be done. And this was the first step to that something.
With the kids in school, Carlisle and Esme had used the solitude to gather their thoughts and plan something for themselves.
“What about Paris?” Esme asked from the kitchen counter, flipping through another travel book. The surface was covered in a variety of country information pamphlets, brochures, and books.
Carlisle hummed in response, sitting across from Esme, looking over his own stack of information pamphlets. “Paris?” he repeated, a smile on his lips, “Romantic.”
Esme returned his smile, a small chuckle on her lips. “And I’ve heard the night life is quite wonderful.”
Nodding along, Carlisle grabbed a book on France, quickly flipping through to find the page on fauna. “There isn’t much large game close to the city, is there?” he asked, eyes grazing over the words on a particular page.
Esme shrugged. “There’s most likely rats in the city.”
The response earned a disapproved hum from Carlisle. “I don’t think I could do rats again.”
“You did it on our trip to New York.”
“Exactly.”
Despite the fluttering disappointment in her heart, Esme still managed to laugh at Carlisle’s response. “I thought you enjoyed our New York trip.”
Carlisle looked to Esme, gaze soft. It seemed he could tell by her tone that she was disheartened. “I absolutely enjoyed the trip. It was the rats that I didn’t love.” Esme hummed, seemingly about to say something, but Carlisle continued before she could. “You can’t deny it, either. Remember how we both felt sluggish and stiff a week in from our change of diet.”
After a moment, Esme sighed and nodded. “You’re right… rat blood is not ideal…” She trailed off, tapping her finger against another brochure. Carlisle was the one to speak up next.
“Why not just spend the month at Isle Esme?”
This was often a recurring point of conversation in any travel planning they make. Esme looked up at Carlisle, giving him the look that made him know she meant business.
“I go there when I want to relax and unwind. Where I don’t have to worry about anything. And I love it. I love going there. But for this trip I want an adventure. I want to do something. There’s only so much of Isle Esme to explore before you know everything about it. I want something new.”
Carlisle hummed, looking back down at the papers in front of him and nodding. “Okay, okay, I understand..” he said, half in his thoughts to come up with a better offer. “We could still go south? Explore the rainforest?”
Esme hummed, sitting up in her seat at the offer. “Oh, that could be wonderful!” she said, reaching over to grab a book on the Amazon. “Tree coverage means we won’t have to worry about time of day.”
Carlisle nodded along, a smile on his face as it seemed they were settling on something. “And it’s large enough that we might not even run into anyone there anyway.”
Despite the initial excitement, there was a moment Esme wavered. She set the book down to look at Carlisle. “I don’t know about hunting in such a preserved location.”
That point made Carlisle hum in consideration. “That is fair…” he thought, furrowing his brow. He wanted to make this work. “We could bring our own? Preserve it for the trip and.. eugh-” Carlisle cut himself off, disapproving of his own solution. He shook his head, leaning back. This trip was supposed to help them de-stress. Instead, it seemed to be causing more of it.
Esme reached over again, this time taking Carlisle’s hand in hers. “Hey,” she said softly, causing Carlisle to look at her. Immediately, he began to relax again, the tension falling from his shoulders. “We’ll figure it out, okay?” she assured, giving his hand a squeeze.
Carlisle managed a smile back, nodding. “Yeah, we’ll figure it out,” he repeated, sitting forward again to look over the options. A comfortable silence fell between the two of them for a few moments, both considering what to offer next. Then, Carlisle spoke again, though this time, hesitantly.
“You sure you don’t want to spend our time on Isle Esme?”
The question had Esme sighing, though there was a fond smile on her lips. She began to nod, quiet laughter leaving her lips. “You know what, yeah. I think Isle Esme might be the best option,” she agreed, pushing the brochures and pamphlets away. Even she had to admit that this planning was going nowhere.
Carlisle smiled, seemingly more at ease. “Oh, perfect. And we can still have our own little adventure on the Isle.”
That comment made Esme smile, looking to Carlisle. It felt as if a weight was lifted now that they decided and agreed on a location to vacation. “I love you,” she said, hand still holding Carlisle’s.
Carlisle stood up from his seat, pulling Esme toward him for a kiss. When he broke away, he answered, “I love you too,” wrapping his arms around his wife to hold her. He swayed the two of them for a moment, looking down over the myriad of papers. “Now we just have to tell the kids.”
tis me your secret twilight santa! What about the cullens/ carlisle fascinates you / do you want explored in your present?
Oh omg hi!!!! I'm so excited thank you for asking.
Okay, um, well, with the Cullens in general, I really love how they're just a family. Like, my first time watching Twilight was this summer and I knew a few bits about it, vampire/werewolf love triangle. Where the hell you been loca. You imprinted on my daughter. Etc.
Anyway, so when I got to the scene where Edward takes Bella to his house for the first time and they're all making Italian for her even though they don't even eat I was shocked. If I was Bella I wouldve cried from how sweet it was. And then the baseball scene happens and I knew there was a baseball scene but then watching the baseball was amazing. They're just a family that plays baseball together. Idk the way they're a family.
And Carlisle, well, uh, he's really pretty. And really nice. And just... wow. I have a crush in him, tldr.

10 Non-Lethal Injuries to Add Pain to Your Writing
If you need a simple way to make your characters feel pain, here are some ideas:
1. Sprained Ankle
A common injury that can severely limit mobility. This is useful because your characters will have to experience a mild struggle and adapt their plans to their new lack of mobiliy. Perfect to add tension to a chase scene.
2. Rib Contusion
A painful bruise on the ribs can make breathing difficult, helping you sneak in those ragged wheezes during a fight scene. Could also be used for something sport-related! It's impactful enough to leave a lingering pain but not enough to hinder their overall movement.
3. Concussions
This common brain injury can lead to confusion, dizziness, and mood swings, affecting a character’s judgment heavily. It can also cause mild amnesia.
I enjoy using concussions when you need another character to subtly take over the fight/scene, it's an easy way to switch POVs. You could also use it if you need a 'cute' recovery moment with A and B.
4. Fractured Finger
A broken finger can complicate tasks that require fine motor skills. This would be perfect for characters like artists, writers, etc. Or, a fighter who brushes it off as nothing till they try to throw a punch and are hit with pain.
5. Road Rash
Road rash is an abrasion caused by friction. Aka scraping skin. The raw, painful sting resulting from a fall can be a quick but effective way to add pain to your writing. Tip: it's great if you need a mild injury for a child.
6. Shoulder Dislocation
This injury can be excruciating and often leads to an inability to use one arm, forcing characters to confront their limitations while adding urgency to their situation. Good for torture scenes.
7. Deep Laceration
A deep laceration is a cut that requires stitches. As someone who got stitches as a kid, they really aren't that bad! A 2-3 inch wound (in length) provides just enough pain and blood to add that dramatic flair to your writing while not severely deterring your character.
This is also a great wound to look back on since it often scars. Note: the deeper and wider the cut the worse your character's condition. Don't give them a 5 inch deep gash and call that mild.
8. Burns
Whether from fire, chemicals, or hot surfaces, burns can cause intense suffering and lingering trauma. Like the previous injury, the lasting physical and emotional trauma of a burn is a great wound for characters to look back on.
If you want to explore writing burns, read here.
9. Pulled Muscle
This can create ongoing pain and restrict movement, offering a window to force your character to lean on another. Note: I personally use muscle related injuries when I want to focus more on the pain and sprains to focus on a lack of mobility.
10. Tendonitis
Inflammation of a tendon can cause chronic pain and limit a character's ability to perform tasks they usually take for granted. When exploring tendonitis make sure you research well as this can easily turn into a more severe injury.
This is a quick, brief list of ideas to provide writers inspiration. Since it is a shorter blog, I have not covered the injuries in detail. This is inspiration, not a thorough guide. Happy writing! :)
