Happy Year of the Horse
Rare aesthetic: pretending youāre fine after throwing up at your grandparentsā house cause being around family when youāre suicidal stresses you out
If anyone has more art of billy as his 2024 official halloween art, PLEASE SEND IT MY WAY

This is a nice video showing an blind/invisible stitch, which is quite useful for repairing tears or finishing something (ex. cushion).
Also, that extra step for putting back the seam is really nice.
I love Tumblr. I had to agree to see mature content before I could open this video.
But who among us doesnāt find a neat seam at least somewhat sexy?

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
Slip stitch and ladder stitch are not the same and they are not interchangeable.
Thank you for your time.
I crochet a lot more than I sew, so I thought "of course!" and then I realized you're talking about sewing and became confused. I would like an explanation please because all Google is telling me is that they are interchangeable terms.
Okay, basically both stitches involve passing thread through the folded edge of a fabric:
Source, this one is the slip stitch.
And this one is the ladder stitch.
The main difference is that the ladder stitch takes even bites out of both folds, and the slip stitch takes a tiny bite out of one side, and then a longer one out of the other side.
This makes the slipstitch stay in place, and the ladder stitch will slide if you pull the thread.
This makes the ladder stitch easy for closing up big holes, because you can cinch it together at the end. It makes the slipstitch good for hems, because the very small fabric bite is hard to see from the front side.
When it comes to sewing up the top of a pillow, or to close the hole in a lining, you can honestly use either one. The slip stitch will be stronger and the ladder stitch will have a better chance at having good tension.
But yeah the original post was inspired by me seeing a sewing pattern showing a ladder stitch and saying that it was a slipstitch. And the proportions being different makes them two different stitches that function differently.

modern Great Gatsby AU set in Cleveland where instead of the Eyes of TJ Eckleburg, all action takes place under the disapproving eyebrow of Tim Misny
this is only a flop post because you don't know who Tim Misny is
Tim Misny is our local Saul Goodman style ~personal injury lawyer~ who's become kind of a local fixture because of his billboards. They started pretty straightforward:
But he became well known enough locally that he started doing this:
And finally, devolved into this:
If you wanted a modern TJ Eckleburg you COULD NOT DO BETTER than this man's fucking Dreamworks Eyebrow
