A quick Reverse Image search says the top photo shows The Cloverfield Paradox cast celebrating the end of filming in August 2016. But given the candle-filled cake and the Daniel-faced topper, that was probably taken on his birthday, June 16. It's possible it was only posted two months later to coincide with the wrap news.

The bottom image, I'm fairly sure, is a personal card from Daniel to his scene partner, Ziyi—thanking her for everything and alluding to the shitshow behind the scenes.
