How I imagined Silas and Delilah
Pearl is… a highly relatable character.
I cannot believe Rebecca Sugar made an 11 minute sapphic indie road trip film complete with appropriate indie background music.
let pearl say cheesy pick up lines

Mindful Education + onscreen use of they/them pronouns
They’re also two people. Not everything has to do with gender.
“you are not two people” - garnet to stevonnie, 2015
“Stevonnie, listen to me. You are not two people, and you are not one person. You, are an experience! Make sure that you’re a good experience. Now GO. HAVE. FUN!”
If you’re going to use a quote to make a point then be sure to quote it all. Technically according to your argument Stevonnie isn’t even a person. So unless an experience can have a gender no pronouns apply.
Okay but the creators of the show have literally confirmed that Stevonnie uses they/them pronouns so why is there an argument about it?? People really go far to take away the little representation that nonbinary people get. If people see themselves in a character, let them. This show offers so many amazing examples of LGBTQIA+ representation, why leave nonbinary people out of the equation? Garnet is a fusion and uses she pronouns and no one argues that she’s two people so that they should use they pronouns. Just admit that you don’t really care about the facts, you just care about derailing people’s head canon’s and winning arguments to make yourself feel good and other people feel silly. If we want to get really really technical, gems are technically computers and their bodies are holograms, they also have no sex and gender is a social construct so nothing really matters and nothing is real. But it’s real in our world and representation matters.

If you’re ever sad that you don’t have a boyfriend or a girlfriend yet and you think finding love is so hard just remember that this is great because at least you know for sure you’re not a part of an illegal human cloning experiment where your never ending strings of love interests are really just monitors courtesy of the DYAD Institute.
Im 12 I dont even know what that means.
Bea: I’m not gay
Allie:

Bea: No! Everyone I care about ends up dead
Allie: What did you say? you care about me?
Bea: No- we should get back for the count
Allie:
Also Allie: *kisses her*
Who else can’t wait until they get their first apartment with their girlfriend and get to sleep with them in a big bed and have lazy Saturday mornings and go to the farmers market and hold hands and buy flowers for the kitchen table and just finally feel at peace with the world in general because you’re in each other’s lives forever?
