ive been thinking for a while of like. experimenting with namestuff when i first transitioned, i picked my name out of.... convenience for others, i guess. a nickname that was already being used for me, and that way, even people who didn't support me being trans would use it, since they had been calling me Jayy for years already. The literal only difference was that I added a second Y to the end. I've never felt particularly attached to it, partially bc it reminds me of my deadname, and partially bc i never actually chose it for myself?? I guess. I could do the thing and grab the name my mom woulda named me had i been assigned female at birth- Justice. Which is incredibly fucking IRONIC considering her current status as a criminal awaiting trial, but other than how funny that would be, I don't think I'll go with that. Middle name, maybe. I... dont particularly fuck with names for me at all, usually. I've been using several different names online for burner accounts for years, and you'd think that would like. Have been a good way to experiment, but a lot of that was to just avoid people who'd been stalking my mother, or evade her nosy boyfriends. The one I've been using most recently is Maya, but like. IDK, doesn't feel right.
