When I say I ship Zoro with Luffy I don't mean in a sexual way. They're both asexuals, I think that's obvious. I don't mean in a romantic way either. They're not the type to kiss in the moonlight, have romantic dinners or talk about their future plans. But not in a platonic way either. When I say I ship them, I mean by that they're soulmates. They're destined to be together in every universe. They don't need to use words, they don't need to even be in the same place at the same time. They know they'll meet each other again. They know they would sacrifice themselves without hesitation to each other. And I don't mean they wouldn't do the same for the rest of the crew, of course they would, that's how Luffy and Zoro are. But they're the Captain and his first mate. The King and his right hand man. But at the same time they're the opposites that need each other. Light and Dark. God and Devil.

Luffy: YO! WHAT'S UP ZORO!

Zoro: WHAT THE HELL LUFFY?!

That's how I ship this autistic asexual dumbass duo

I’m not trusting those leaks. Until I see the official pages I am having faith in the creator.

So much of it feels like a last time to screw over this fandom and make a joke of it. I always hated leaks being the prime example of this when every chapter dropped.

Having faith in the man’s art and his story to not throw it all away to make some insufferable people happy for their bullshit.

This same guy that can draw Izuku the same every time suddenly draws him like that? He has had ten years with these characters and always does things with purpose. Those leak pages are empty and lacking anything I have seen in the actual chapters.

So nope. Don’t believe this is what would be given at the end of it. Plus so many inconsistencies here, why is there different versions of the same panel or off details?

It will be tough but I’d say just hold out until the 4th ignoring all of those people that want to shit on the story now or say “finally! Delivered what I wanted!”

Feels like this is the best outcome for the insufferable. So I will be patient until something official comes by and not let a final leak attempt put me down.

(I’ll edit or reblog on the 4th to say either “well that was stupid of me. Congrats I guess” or “and this is why I will always despise leaks”)

EDIT 03.12.24 - So news dropped early. I guess a mix of both is in order?

This is why I DESPISE leaks, happens every time now for things I enjoy and just ruins things for everyone. And the miscommunication of it all just causes such big divides.

And yeah, congrats on a cute little AU story by the team that is separate non canon from the main story (loosely what I’ve seen translated of Horikoshi’s comment). Don’t know why that part wasn’t included in the illegal leaks but hey ho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it would have explained the art differences and saved everyone all the trouble. But look at how cute IzuOcha would be in their fields of work supporting the next generation. Seeing the class all hanging out again as adults was fun too.

What hurt more when thinking about Eddie’s death for me was the split of this season. We get introduced to a character that we all easily connected to and completely adored. We saw the death signs but had the month to anxiously hope he wouldn’t die. The amount of merch that went in to his character before the death hurts just as much

I want to say in all honesty that regardless of what happens in Vol 2 tomorrow, I hope all steddie enjoyers carry on as if nothing happened.

All the glorious content has kept me sane for a month with amazing art and adoring fics.

Whatever canon hands us, know that I will be thinking of the stories created here with headcanons and minimal content
