Also, given how much unprovable nonsense I’ve seen the left spout over the past decade, which has literally gotten people killed and murdered, the idea that the left is especially good at using truth, and immune to basic human biases, is hilariously, blatantly wrong.

Especially when we are literally in the middle of a gigantic reveal of how the left-wing government was actively hiding the truth, on the exact same website these people are smugging out on.

Remember, there have been many things that were verified or fact checked which were literal lies. Not just in recent memory, but for the whole of the existence of human language.

Experts are not fonts of truth, they are humans, with human needs and human aims, and by that same metric, human failings.

Remember how there used to be a trend of people hating their bodies, thanks to Hollywood and fashion magazines? Remember how the plastic surgery industry made a lot of money off that? Then that trend started to fade, because people began to realize that they could be happy with themselves, or at least find non surgical ways of improving the way they look.

I wonder if there's another body modification or alteration trend recently that the plastic surgery industry is making a killing off of? I sure hope they haven't reassigned their social manipulation tactics. That would be highly transgressive of them.

I can’t imagine being a teen during COVID, going through the sudden loss of literally every major thing in my life (school, work, hanging out with friends, movie theaters, malls, etc), going through the social isolation, ending up spending way too much time on social media because what else do you do, finally get to see people again but only with faces covered, threats of forced injections in order to “get back to normal”…

Only to have this lunatic try to tell me none of it happened.

I’m not sure I would have been able to keep my cool.

Also, the experience varied WILDLY from city to city and state to state.

A teen in North Dakota or in a rural area attending a private school or being homeschooled would have hardly noticed COVID, while a teen in Michigan or New York may have very much felt locked inside. Some areas literally had schedules for what time of day you were allowed to walk around outside, sometimes depending on if you had a dog.

Remember, just because things may not have been as bad for you doesn’t mean that’s how it was for everyone.

(Random side anecdote: both my husband and my mom were given letters by their employers to print out saying they were “essential workers” and therefore had “permission” to travel during the full-on stay home orders. They never needed to show those papers where we live, and I definitely went places without any such papers, but the fact that this was even a consideration…)

Stranded Deep isn’t that hard, it is a little difficult at first but that’s mostly learning curve, I haven’t played The Forest or Subnautica but from what I’ve seen The Forest isn’t very difficult.

The Long Dark on the other hand is punishing but from what little I’ve played it seems to come down to knowing where certain items might spawn and getting them right away, like an ax, warm clothing or a gun.
