Imagine going to eat at a diner with The Lost Boys to have it interrupted by Edgar and Alan Frog.
Might write a second part
The lost boys treat you like you are their little sister, you are dating Marko. You are Edgar's cousin, Alan is Edgar's adopted brother. Alan has had a crush on you for ages and knows Marko is a vampire.
You took your seats at a table in the middle of the diner; Marko, you and Star sat on one side whilst Paul, David and Dwayne sat on the other, leaving Laddie to do his own thing. You rested your head on your curly blonde haired boyfriend's shoulder. He breathed in your sweet scent and stroked your cheek, loving the sound of your heartbeat close to his chest.
"Hey Y/N, watch this." Paul smirked, pointing at a couple eating together in the corner. The girl was eating mushroom curry and rice; you watched as she forked up a creamy mushroom into her mouth, she chewed on it slowly and looked back down at her plate. A terrified scream escaped her lips, causing Paul and Marko to erupt into hysterics. The poor girl's plate was swarming with woodlice crawling in maggot sauce. She cried for her boyfriend to get the waitress but one look back at the plate and it was rice and curry once again.
A jovial waitress walked over to your table; her brunette curls were neatly tied into a pony and she wore a matching pink apron and heals. "You dudes ready to order?" She asked, leaning over Dwayne to collect up the menus.
"Just the usual Danielle." David told her. The light haired blonde raised his eyebrows at Dwayne causing him to flush and glance away.
Danielle peered at you. "You?"
"I'm not really hungry." You replied. "Strawberry shake, please." You then grinned up at Marko. "I'm stealing your chips." You warned him.
"Dream on." He teased, nipping your nose.
Dwayne exchanged glances with Danielle, clocking his tounge and winking. She beamed at his flirting, waving at him with wiggling fingers before she left.
"Dwayne fancies her." Marko whispered to you loudly.
"Shut up." Dwayne glowered, kicking him under the table.
"Hey Y/N, isn't that your cousin?"
You looked at where Star was pointing and circled your eyes in annoyance.
"Hey cuz!" Edgar yelled waving wildly. He and Alan sauntered to your table. "Well, well, well. Didn't expect to see you here."
You watched them with frustration as they sat at the table. Alan pulled over a chair and snatched a menu off the table opposite. "What are you doing here?" You groaned.
The two boys ignored you, "Scuse gorgeous." Edgar muttered to Star as he squeezed onto the side of the booth next to her. His rucksack stole half her part of the seat itself.
"No." David enforced. "By all means, stick around."
Edgar smiled smugly. "See."
"Well?" David raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you gonna introduce us?"
You had to force yourself not to roll your eyes again. "Cousins, this is David, Paul, Dwayne and Marko. Boys, Edgar and Alan Frog."
"So which one of you is dating my cousin?" Edgar questioned. "I should have a right as family to know who's stolen my cousin's heart, shouldn't I?" He peered at the boys in turn. "Leader guy?"
David raised his eyebrows; Edgar was just an entertainment to him he couldn't kill off yet, but he was slightly impressed your cousins had guts to speak out.
Marko was not impressed with his nickname, he sulked in the corner. His brothers had always mocked him for his height and childish features. You loved mocking him about it too, and pinched his cheeks, he meekly batted your hands away.
Marko hid his childish grin behind his hand. Paul stopped his laughing, wondering which Lost boy Edgar was talking about.
The three lost boys sniggered, it was Dwayne's turn to roll his eyes - he knew it'd be a nickname his brothers would never let him forget.
You yourself thought it was obvious which boy you were dating; Marko hadn't moved his arm from around you the moment he saw Alan.
"Hi." Marko said still annoyed by being called 'babyface'. He grinned, thinking back to all the times you had ranted to him about your cousins. "Y/N's told us all about you."
"Strange," Alan shrewd. "Took her ages to mention you."
There was an uncomfortable amount of silence. The two boys scowled at eachother. Oh, if looks could kill.
Everyone went off into their own conversations after that. You gossiped with Star, Marko carried on narrowing his eyes at Alan.
"So," Edgar interupted. "Have you two done it yet?"
This was Marko's chance to get Alan to back off. "As a matter of..."
You cut him off. "- No, no, no. That's none of your business!"
"You have!" Laddie claimed, clambering from behind Paul's seat. "I've seen you!"
Star's eyes widened. "Laddie..?"
Your face flushed crimson. The whole table stared at Laddie and then at you and Marko. David, Paul and Dwayne laughed innocently about the ten year old walking in on you fornicating. Star was disgusted. Sussing the atmosphere in the room, she got up and dragged Laddie with her.
"Come on Laddie let's go." She told him before turning to David. "I'll take him down the boardwalk."
Laddie pulled a face. "No, I don't want to..." He complained.
"Go on, I'll buy you one of those funnel cakes you like."
David grasped at Star's wrist before she could leave, Laddie winced. "Star. Don't be out long." He threatened. Star nodded slowly before steering Laddie towards the door.
"See ya Star." You smiled, lightening the mood.
During this time, Edgar was trying to understand how the four boys knew eachother.
"You're all brothers right?" He asked after scanning David for the third time. "You live together. Do you live with your folks?"
"Is he talking about parents?" Paul mocked.
Dwayne burst out laughing. "What are they?"
The lost boys cracked up into laughter, the two Frogs stared at eachother blankly before fakely joining in. You lightly shoved Marko in the stomach and the laughter gradually stopped.
"But seriously," Alan started. "Who..?"
David sensed where that conversation would be heading. "- The frog brothers, right? From the comic store?"
"Oh we are not just comic store workers." Edgar told him.
Alan nodded. "We're dedicated to a higher purpose."
"We're fighters for truth, justice and the American way."
You rolled your eyes, they'd been saying that for as long as you could remember.
"Are you guys believers in the creatures of the night?" Edgar implored.
Marko grinned behind his fist. "Creature of the night?"
"Don't encourage him." You complained. "Edgar, leave it."
Edgar ignored you and pulled out a comic from his rucksack. "Vampires."
"Vampires?" David peered intriguingly at the Frogs, interested with what they had to say on the matter.
"The princes of darkness, The night crawlers, The bloodsuckers, El Vampiro. Call them what you like, they all kill the same."
Oh shit. You thought. One wrong word and your cousin will be the boy's next meal. You became rigid in your chair, staring at each boy in turn.
"Don't be so gullible Edgar, Vampires don't exist." You fibbed.
David raised his hand for you to quieten. "Oh they exist alright. They're twenty times stronger than the average man."
"And not to mention are totes good looking." Paul winked, striking a pose.
"They're heartless bloodsuckers who should all be impaled by a stake!" Edgar declared.
Knowing who he was talking about or not, no one was insulting your Marko.
"What's wrong with Vampires? I think they could actually be quite sweet."
You felt Marko's hand intertwine with yours.
"Sweet? Really Y/N?" Edgar argued. "They are creatures from hell."
You turned to David, expecting his eyes to have gleamed amber with anger - but he was completely calm. He found the whole concept funny, Edgar believed he knew everything about spotting a vampire and there he was ranting to one.
"And that's how they get you hooked," Edgar carried on. "They can look good looking on the outside, but that's just a trap to lure you in."
"Oh really Mr expert ?" You scorned. "There's nothing wrong with vampires or dating one for that matter."
You were kicked under the table to shut up.
"Bullshit! Now who in their right mind would date a vampire?" Alan joined in, he looked at Marko and you, then shut his mouth.
This set Edgar on a rant. He opened his comic book and pointed at the illustrations in turn. "They are the worst types of people you could ever date, if you could even class them as people. They are the living dead! They don't know how to love, they just have one thing on their mind; feeding."
Marko looked hurt. You hugged him close, showing him you were ignoring what Edgar was saying.
"You couldn't date one. You wouldn't even be able to see them for most the day, they sleep till dark."
"Not necessarily." Marko added, crossing his arms. He'd stayed awake many times for you, just as long as it was out of the sun's reach.
"They look ugly as hell for starters and their fingernails are longer."
David rested his head on his fists. "Lies."
"They can't have water and goodbye to flavoured food, garlic kills them."
"That's not fully true either." Paul muttered aloud, he stabbed his napkin with a folk out of boredom.
"They don't age Y/N. Did you think of that? You could be dating someone who's fifthty!"
You eyed Dwayne for confirmation; he frowned and shook his head.
"They are cold as ice and have messed up feet, could you imagine sleeping with that?"
Marko looked down at his feet, bewildered and in seconds him and Paul were mouthing and searching under the table to see who had the most ugliest feet - their conclusion was David.
"They glow in the dark and have no reflection, they could wake up looking like shit and they wouldn't be able to tell!"
Dwayne turned away from looking at Danielle and started combing down his hair with his fingers. He gestured to you if he looked okay, you nodded. Alan sat awkwardly behind his menu, he'd just clicked that Marko wasn't the only vampire at the table. He tapped Edgar but he carried on, needing to get his point across.
"Blood suckers Y/N, bloodsuckers. They kill people for goodness sake!"
You rolled your eyes again. "Yes Edgar, you've said that."
"And not to mention bad breath."
Marko found this concerning and pulled away from you, he kept telling himself over and over he wasn't a bad boyfriend. David on the other hand was too busy hiding his chortles; all he needed to improve his situation was a tub of popcorn, was Edgar an idiot or what?
"They reek of the dead, flies and the undead go together like bullets and guns."
Paul breathed on his hand, trying desperatly to smell him own breath and pulled a face - smelt normal to him, he stared at Edgar; are these guys for real?
Alan sensed the vampire's mood and wacked Edgar with his menu.
"Edgar let's go." He hissed.
"Later Alan," Edgar said, fixing his collar. "I'm trying to make Santa Carla a safer place."
"You couldn't recognize a vampire even if it was staring you right in the face?" You pointed out, the lost boys smirked.
Edgar disagreed. "Yes, I could."
At that exact moment, Danielle arrived with the Lost Boys blooded burgers and chips. "Here's your meals. Sorry for the wait. Rare cooked, just how you like it."
David bit into it greedily, blood trickling out of his mouth. Paul and Dwayne ate too. Blood continued to ooze out the meat from each bite.
"I'm sure glad to know Santa Carla will be safe with you two on watch." David smirked tauntingly; his fellow vampires, Paul and Dwayne sniggered too. Marko hid his, still on edge.
"I'll bring over your milkshake in a moment." Danielle told you.
Marko wasn't eating. You twirled some of the longer strands of his hair around your finger.
"Not eating curly?" You asked as you snatched a chip.
"That's not like you." You cooed in his ear. "You know, what the frogs said is from a comic book. It's not all true."
He didn't speak, but simply wrapped his arm round you. You kissed him on the cheek and stole a few more of his fries.
Danielle returned brightly with your milkshake. "And one Strawberry Shake."
"Thanks." You thanked her. You reached for the drink, revealing an alarming fanged bite mark on your wrist.
Alan noticed and grabbed your arm. "Hey Y/N, what happened to your wrist?"
"Oh-er, nothing." You lied, pulling your hand away.
Alan glared at your boyfriend who looked as guilty as ever. Marko took one look at your wrist and one look at Alan and rushed out his seat.
You clung onto his jacket. "What. Babes..? Where..." Marko ignored and left without saying another word.
"I love family get togethers." David grinned to himself.
You got up too, whispering in David's ear as you left the table. "Don't you dare touch them while I'm gone."
David shrugged his reply, still enjoying his burger.
You looked through the Diner's window. Dang it! Marko had left on his motorbike.
"Dwayne," You shouted as you reached the door. "I'm borrowing your bike!"
