Hey 🌿

This is our formal introduction as the Corvidae system.

As the current host, I won’t share the body’s name, but I’ve chosen to go by Adan, and we will eventually post little intros for any of the alters that want to as they front/want to post.

If you want to address us as a system, you can call us Crowe, or Murder 🖤

We’re pretty new to all of this, as we just recently started to realise we’re a system, so any advice would be appreciated, my inbox is always open for suggestions on how to handle all of this, or if you'd like to be moots!

Multiple of our headmates will probably use this blog, and we’ll tag sometimes if we can tell who’s fronting.

We also schedule posts! So who’s posting might not always be who’s fronting if you dm us.

One of my favorite thing I’ve learned about animals studies is that you should avoid using colorful leg bands when you’re banding birds because you can accidentally completely skew the data because female birds prefer males with colorful bands

Apparently if you put a red band on a male red wing blackbird his harem size can double

So like you can completely frick up the natural reproduction of a group of birds by giving a guy a bracelet so stylish that females CANNOT resist him

I remember reading a study where researchers realized that female birds of a certain species preferred males with a darker breast. So they created what they literally called a “Super-Sexy Male” by catching a male and coloring his chest with a marker. They then ran dna tests on the eggs in the area.

Previously when the researchers had run these tests, they found a certain amount of infidelity was common for these birds. Somewhere around 10% of eggs were fathered by males who were not the primary mates of females.

After the advent of the Super Sexy Male, however, stuff got crazy in bird world. Infidelity skyrocketed, with upwards of 25% of ALL EGGS in the area being fathered by this specific male. Furthermore, his mate’s eggs were 100% his.

This is just insane to me. Just imagine you’re living your bird life when suddenly somebody scribbles on Dave’s chest and the ladies can’t stop throwing themselves at them. It’s stupid that we theoretically can wreck this kind of havoc on an ecosystem.

Four people were shot, including two bystanders and an NYPD officer, after two Brooklyn cops opened fire on a suspect allegedly armed with a

NYPD chase a man for fare evasion, tase him, become “aware of a knife” and then started blasting, hitting a cop, and two bystanders (one in the head) before getting this guy. Backtracking with “well this guy has done xyz before”, the cops didn’t know that. They frantically looked him up so they could justify a mass shooting of New Yorkers.

They drew guns over skipping the fare. They fired at anything that moved when they thought he had a knife. No confirmation that he even did have a knife.

Appalling.

The NYPD shot four people because a man, allegedly armed with a knife, didn’t pay a $2.90 subway fare. And it’s worth re-emphasizing that one of the innocent bystanders they shot is in critical condition because he was accidentally shot in the head by New York’s finest.
