I mean today's my birthday, it's nice and I'm going to ask if I can see some friends that I normally only see on my birthday in a week or two, but my favorite joke to make is that my homophobic parents expect me to be straight, and I was born in the middle of June, so of course I turned out Pansexual and Nonbinary. Doesn't mean you can't be straight and born in June I just think it's funny.
I thought being out of school for a few months might fix my sleep schedule, but it's been a few days and it's only gotten worse honestly, at this point I should apply to the ministry because I practically have the cardinal look down with how tired I am.
Annoyed at my math teacher because I had to do the diagnostic thing yesterday I had homework I did like half, and even today, the last day of school, she made me do work, me and my friend just goofed off and guessed because it's online. But so glad school is over for a few months.
It's the last week of school next week for me, and I don't even have to go on Friday, and really I'm just going to go the the library to get books to read, because I don't really have to much to do over the summer yet. Also excited that I might get to play Mario kart tomorrow because my English teacher is going to bring it in.

We've been playing softball in gym today and Friday, and somehow I'm successful when hitting the ball with a bat. Not that I'm going to do it as a sport, just normally I suck, so I'm happy about that.
So in my school we have the GSA (gender spectrum alliance, it's been called many different things though) and another group the hope squad, a peer to peer support things but also does spirit days I think we call them, and they asked us to do something for pride month. Witch made me happy that the school is doing that, even when people are fairly inclusive, so Friday I believe it is, or some time this week, were wearing our pride flags, or in support for the allies and I'm really excited for it!
I was writing my Ghost fanfic for English earlier, (my sleep schedule is horrible), and just threw in there how it's pride month along with Omega and Terzo being gay, it's a good start to the month.
Honestly teachers need to stop asking to show your work, especially when your correct, and it's just an assignment. It's happened mostly in Science this year, and were having out last test of the year next week, I just don't show ALL the work she wants me to show now, not none, so we will see.
I still have a complicated relationship with the ropes course at my school. We went on different low elements this week and people have to help you because team building, but I kept going at the end of class witch didn't leave me the time I need because of my autism complicating things, and other coordination issues I'm soon to get tested for. But next week we might try it again and I think I figured it out because I don't have the upper body strength other people do.

Well this week has been an absolute shit-show, but today should be good because I see the dog I can pet at lunch today, it's a block say so I only have half my classes to worry about, and I miss gym class to practice for my concert tonight, where the band and orchestra are performing as well then one song all together and I have friends in band, so optimistic for today.

My favorite animals are Wolves and Dolphins. Dolphins because they're intelligent animals that I've loved since I was a kid. Wolves because my favorite cousin was into them and now he's in the military and lives 10,000,000 miles away :(

I like a lot of different animals. In terms of common house pets, I prefer rabbits and dogs. My dad and I have a dog, which is nice. I'm not super personable, even with animals. I'm abrasive and don't interact with our dog much, but I do love her.
But in terms of exotic animals...elephants, owls and penguins. I love elephants because my one stuffed animal I've had since I was a child is a stuffed elephant. And I'm really fond of them. And owls and penguins...I don't know. I just like them.

Very excited about this one, I love cats, and have for years, all kinds of cats from domestic to ligers (very big half lion half tiger animal, highly recommend looking up a picture), as well as dragons.

the way teenagers are treated these days is wild. when i was a teenager we were all watching porn, jerking off, and going to horror movies with 3000 gallons of blood. Nowadays they make kids get a permission slip to watch anything darker than Barney the Dinosaur. Insane.
Every year we infantilize teenagers more and more and act surprised when they grow up to be terrified, angry, emotionally stunted adults.
& then for some reason people fixate more on "ugh these teenagers just want to be treated like babies!!! teenagers are to blame for the rise in puritanism!!!!!" than how this is a very obvious example of ageism and the increased control over a socially vulnerable and exploited group
I think a commonly overlooked part of this coddling is that it teaches kids and teenagers to be afraid of things they don't need to be afraid of, which is exactly how they end up as "puriteens". I remember as a child being terrified to change the channel on the tv because I had ended up with the impression that seeing even seconds of an R rated movie or tv show would give me nightmares. And then as a tween every time I saw swearing I felt sick to my stomach because I had been taught such a thing is bad and harmful. I think I would have suffered less if I hadn't been raised with everyone around me acting like mature media was so bad. By the time I was a teenager I had figured out this was bunk, but understandably a lot of people don't. By making this whole system worse and stronger you have teens who have been told that seeing explicit or dark media Will Harm Them, and so they act in ways that would be appropriate if it really was the info-hazard it's implied to be.
^^ never heard anybody specifically talk about this but yeah. parents acting like sexual or any "dark" content in a story or show was going to put bad things in my head that were going to be there permanently just gave me a deeply distressing sort of contamination anxiety
I mean...I actually think I'm sensitive enough to be the exception to the rule here. I think 5 minutes of a horror movie would be enough to give me nightmares. It has been before. But otherwise, I get your point. Violence and sexuality aren't what I struggle with. Horror is where I do have the problems, but they're not something I mean to pass onto a societal scale. I'm just legitimately extremely sensitive to horror.
When I was younger I had similar experiences, but in the preteen years I started to do things on my own, witch could definitely be dangerous, but overprotective parents lead to dangerously sneaky kids, and a lot of anxiety about them finding things out. Before I moved towns I won't dare say a curse word, or even knew that much about the world, but when I moved my world changed a lot, for the better, especially at a point in life where parents should take off there control and don't seem to let kids learn how to live in the world while still under there protection like they should.
My therapist has known I have ADHD, and now with my official diagnosis she's wondering why the person who tested me didn't say I should get medicated. I feel like I should, especially with school and stuff, but I don't know how I'll be able to.
I know it's metal health awareness month, and that's great, except no one genuinely cares. Like my school is putting so much work on us, but also come pet a therapy dog at lunch? It's not doing to much and it's in two weeks, but I do want to pet the dog at least, but I'm stressed and tired, and the school isn't doing anything about it in reality.
My eye bags are starting to go back to looking like Cardinal Copia, and at least they have that going for them.
