and, at the end of it all, he finds chang to silently accept his punishment like a scolded child, in a routine that is clearly familiar for him. he was bad, so he deserves this. he holds his wrists out to be cut.

Can I go off about something <- (Guy who does this all the time and isn't gonna wait for a response) I don't get people who adopt a dog and then ignore it. Like why did you want the dog. The dog is not a lawn ornament. If you do not want to interact with a dog day in and out, then do not get a dog. If you're annoyed by having a dog try to interact with you, then do not get a dog. Why would you get a dog. That's a creature. That's a friend. Adopting a dog and then ignoring it is like that's not even your pet that's a hostage. You took it home and now it can't leave so it spends its days neglected and alone. Extremely fucked up thing to do to a person. If you do this, then you need to go rehome your dog. Now. It deserves better than you and it's the least you could do to make things right. Let someone adopt it who will actually give it the love that it deserves.
