punch and kick me if you must but I do often wish that the pervasive fanon for Eddieās relationship with his parents post El Paso arc was less constant snarking back/ one-up-man-ship wish fulfillment and more the payoff to a great deal of work Eddie has done which makes things both more complicated (the restructuring of boundaries and who gets to make them) and less so (an increased unwillingness to fold under parental pressure but expressed with less defensiveness or panic)
