Being a radical feminist doesn’t mean you get to hate libfems or any other type of woman for that matter. Are libfems annoying? Do they have bad takes? Do I believe that their ideas are harmful? YES. But I’m not going to scream that they deserve death like I’ve seen other people do on here.

Maybe a girl isn’t ready to dissect the reasons why she feels the need to shave. I’m not going to call her a fucking idiot. I’m not going to call her worthless. Because she’s not. Why has it become common practice in radfem spaces to hate fellow women for falling into the beliefs that they’ve been groomed to have?

When a radfem talks overtly harshly about other women it tells me that they live within an online echo chamber. Women in real life have bad takes. They have internalized misogyny. Some radfems take for granted the knowledge and strength that they have. Not every woman has read feminist theory. Not every woman is confident enough to advocate for her rights. Women in real life are complicated and possess a mixture or both good and bad traits. No matter what, these women are worth defending and fighting for. They didn’t choose to be conditioned by the patriarchy.

I likely won’t get along with most women, but that’s fine. I’m not a radical feminist because i hate other women, I’m a feminist because to an extent i harbor a deep love for ALL women

This category of women has a number of subcategories.

The first group are fully passive. Bimbos fall into this group. People tend to shit on them the hardest because they don't fight back, but because they're so passive, they're not actually trying to effect change in the social or political spheres. There's definitely a problem of other young women imitating them, but they're the least dangerous, and I think the best way to handle them is to simply set an example by calling out men.

Then you have the ones who actively derail feminist discussion. You've said "maybe a girl isn’t ready to dissect the reasons why she feels the need to shave," but she sure is willing to talk over me when I talk about why I don't want to shave, and because everyone wants women to shave, she's the one society at large sides with. This tangibly impacts me and I do not have to be an endlessly magnanimous sweetheart about it.

Finally, you have the TRAs and sex industry advocates and surrogacy advocates, who are campaigning to pass laws that harm women. These libfems are doing the most harm, and require the toughest response.

At the end of the day, I'm not here to be everyone's mommy. I want a better future for myself and for the most vulnerable women, and if another woman is standing in the way of that, I reserve the right to get angry.

Be as angry as you want when women have bad takes. But at the end of the day, women aren’t the enemy. The goal of feminism is to liberate even women that you find annoying.

Im also talking about a very specific post i saw on radblr about a girl who just said “personally i like shaving” and all the “radfems” in the comments were calling her terrible names. The original girl wasn’t talking over anybody and I don’t think her lack of education warranted that much vitriol.

I’m not going to police you and tell you to be a “magnanimous sweetheart” when another woman is derailing discussion. Why as a society do we allow neurodivergent men to be as viciously misogynistic or violent as they please? It starts in the schools. I can remember back to elementary school when there was a group of autistic students, both male and female. The boys were just allowed to lash out and hit girls with absolutely no repercussions. In fact, if any of the affected girls tried talking to a teacher or supervisor, they would just be given a lecture on being more understanding of special needs classmates?? As we got older, those same boys tried to inappropriately touch girls and would get angry when they didn’t like it. Same story. Teachers said they’re too autistic to understand “no.” Firstly, they never will if you never try. Secondly, who actually cares if they understand or not??? Just keep them away from their female classmates because they are causing problems. Don’t just allow it to continue because they’re autistic

I think we just give neurodivergent men a lot more grace than we do to neurodivergent women or girls who act offensively
