1st Sinner - Mara, easy pickings, she can technically continue her own storyline to fool the audience into thinking it's someone else, like Victor for example until we get a nice reveal.
So for the five sinners, this is one thing the show did well, which is slowly take away all the OG Sibuna members until it's just Eddie and KT left, sadly. It's meant to mirror the beginning of the season, seeing the dynamic duo save the day instead of the usual team effort. Don't get me wrong, I love team Sibuna saving the day, but they had their time in S1 and S2, which were Nina's seasons. Season 3 is more Eddie-aimed, which is also why it's so different from the usual chaos.
Which is why the rest of the sinners are the usual order:
The main difference now is that who used to be one of their biggest enemies is now— quite possibly their last ally: Victor.
He helps Eddie and KT for as long as he can, and Victor is a good one to have on your side, he know everything about the property, extensive knowledge on Egyptian mythology and alchemy, and ultimately doesn't want to see the children in any harm, so he'll give himself up in order for them to escape.
The way I would have it is him noticing strange things the children and Sweet have been acting, all the way up to Fabian making Joy cry even, idk. And once KT is 'caught' as a traitor, it's him who's surprisingly checking with her what's going on. Because this feels wildly out of character for these miscreants, they may lack respect but they've never been cruel. Once Eddie figures out Trixie is the sinner whilst Fabian is taken at the same time, he and Alfie meet up and plan to save KT. Who, also surprisingly, is being helped by Victor.
So, KT, Eddie, Alfie, and Victor are a mini team there until Alfie gets his artifact and sacrifices himself only to be taken. Alfie, as the last sinner, means that they've got everything they need. Eddie runs into Willow, drops KT's key, she's safe while the world is ending, etc. And now we get Willow in the team until Harriet shows up to save them. And then near the end, Willow is taken over, KT fakes it, more near the end Harriet is taken over, Victor blocks her until he's taken over as well.
